Fiat is an Italian automaker that was established in1899 by a group of investors, lead by Giovanni Agnelli. The first vehicle was released in 1899 and was named the 3 ½ CV. In 1900, the first factory was established in Corso Dante and by 1910 it was considered the largest Italian automaker and still is today. The current product line consists of the Fiat 500, 500 Cabrio (500C), and 500 Abarth.
The Fiat 500 was recently introduced to Canada in 2011 while it had already been launched in Europe in 2007. The 500 is considered a city vehicle that was designed for being practical with a smaller exterior frame, higher fuel efficiency, and high standard features. The vehicle is available in the following trims: Pop, Lounge, and Sport. The vehicle is loaded with advanced technologies including a fuel-efficient MultiAir Engine, TomTom Navigation, and an Electronic Vehicle Information Computer (EVIC). The vehicle is also being marketed heavily with celebrity singer Jennifer Lopez in numerous campaign advertisements, including an appearance in the 2011 American Music Awards (AMA).
