The 2016 Ford Flex is a great new addition to the lineup with a lot of changes done to the engine and design. Ford has done a great job of making sure to improve on all the details drivers did not like and keep all their strong points.
Ford has brought back the Flex and it’s definitely one of their best creations. They have decided to make changes to their engine, and design on the inside and out. The beauty about the Flex is that it is an SUV that would be able to cater to a lot of people. Other than the fact that it’s an SUV, the features it provides allows it to be suitable for many drivers.
The exterior designing looks very handsome and sleek. Starting off with the grille, Ford uses a silver bar to hide most of it, which does end up giving it a nicer look, instead of having a random black blob in the middle of the front view. The grille is still visible on top and bottom of the silver bar. As we look to the side of the bar, we can see how it integrates into the headlights. Ford has made their headlights look a lot more modernized and futuristic with the new design they have used for it. There is a smaller outlining of the lights inside which almost look like pupils for the headlights. Near the bottom of the hood and on top of the grille, we can see Ford has included the name of the model very visible for other drivers and passengers who see it drive by. The rear view of the car doesn’t look too different from the previous model. It will still have the box shaped rear and the large cargo door.
Moving on to the interior of the SUV, we can see Ford has done an excellent job in making sure the interior suits the exterior designs. This is very crucial for drivers, since they all really want to have the nicest car on the road, but since they don’t get to see the view, they would want that look to be reflected in the space where they are driving. Starting off with the centre console, it seems very simple and user-friendly. The steering wheel seems very simple and elegant. The material used on the seating and dashboard also seems like it is pretty high quality which is another reason why the interior matches the exterior. In terms of space, the 2016 Ford Flex has more than enough. Even though there are three rows of seats, as long as the third row is seated by kids, the SUV is a very comfortable place to sit when it comes to both headroom and legroom.
Under the hood, we can see Ford uses a 3.5-litre V6 engine which will be able to push 287 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque. Drivers would also be able to upgrade to the EcoBoost engine which will be able to push 365 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Ford Flex will only require about 9.4 litres for every 100 kilometres driven with a combination of both the highway and city.
The new 2016 Ford Flex is a great SUV for many drivers out there as it would be able to cater to a lot more people than other SUVs. This is because of how it can be so powerful and large and still have pretty good fuel efficiency, which is now a pretty large factor when drivers are picking their cars.

|Power and Performance:|
Both of the drivetrains available in the Ford Flex have plenty of power, but we prefer the EcoBoost V-6 every time, especially since it doesn't exact too high a fuel-economy penalty.
The base V-6 is decently muscular, but isn't blisteringly quick. It's the latest version of Ford's standby 3.5-liter V-6. In the Flex it produces 287 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque, and turns in better gas mileage than its turbocharged version. Acceleration off the line is adequate, but passing power is strong, even with a few passengers on board.

|Interiors and Special Features:|
The Ford Flex stands out in the crowd with its hip, square, sleek looks. Space-aged surf wagon, anyone?
Arguably, the Flex looks like an homage to the entire history of station wagons, but we can't help but discern a British streak down its sides. Volvo 245, Ford Fairline, Country Squire--it's all there, and to us, it's also part Range Rover, part MINI Cooper. It boldly forges its own style as it skirts around the "minivan" tag--and now it's even less "Ford," now that the badging's been removed, and only the "FLEX" name is tattooed across its nose. The only Ford mark on the vehicle is a blue-oval badge, on the lower right corner of the hatch. And is it just us, or does the new front end resemble nothing less than a USB port?

With updated crash-test scores and a newly standard rearview camera, we're raising the Flex's safety score this year, after a couple of seasons in which its safety data was incomplete.
The Flex offers a long list of safety technologies, and it's one of the safer family vehicles on the market despite being a descendant of the vintage-2002 Volvo XC90.
