The Best Prius on the Market for 2013

The Toyota Prius v is roomy and offers outstanding features. It is an excellent option for a family. This hybrid gets 4.5L/100km which is outstanding for a vehicle of its size. The Prius v is highlighted by its Prius triangle silhouette front end. Not only does it offer an attractive design, but there is also a lot of cargo space. The starting price for this model is $27,425 which is reasonable for what it has to offer.

The original Prius offers light, numb steering. However the Prius v steers much better which comes as a surprise. It offers better road feel and has a quicker steering ratio. Unlike most hybrids, this car offers outstanding brakes which will allow you to stop smoothly. The feel of the pedals is consistent.

The interior has been upgraded from what previous was offered in the Prius. However the armrest could be softer. There is a strange joystick looking shifter in the Toyota Prius v. You may feel like you are playing a video game when shifting gears. The interior looks nice and is very practical. The backseats are very comfortable and they even recline.

In the back there is 34.3 cubic/feet of cargo space which is barely smaller than Toyota’s own RAV4. This makes the Prius v an outstanding choice for taking on a camping trip or for carrying bikes. There are also supplemental storage spaces hidden throughout the vehicle.

The Prius v is loaded with outstanding automotive technology. You can connect your iPod and play it in the Prius v and there is also Satellite Radio. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is great when you are taking a vacation and will help you from becoming tired as quickly.

This car comes with a standard Smart Key System to lock/unlock the vehicle and start the engine. There is also a Driver Door Handle Touch Sensor Lock/Unlock as standard equipment. Luxury packages sport a Front Passenger and Rear Hatch Handle Touch Sensor Lock/Unlock.

The Prius v features Toyota’s renowned safety features. There is a pre-collision system. It will prepare the vehicle if a frontal collision is about to take place. The system assists the driver by adding brake hydraulic pressure if there is the risk of a collision.

Another safety feature is the vehicle approach notice. This system will warn people walking by that your Prius v is approaching. It works when the speed of the automobile is between 0 km/h and 20 km/h, if the vehicle is in EV mode.

The Prius v is heavier than the standard Prius, but uses the same engine. As a result it doesn’t have a lot of power when climbing hills. The Prius v needs 10.4 seconds to go from 0 to 60. The Prius v is only $2,400 more than the standard Prius, but offers push button engine start and more room. There is a 6.1 inch display with a backup camera.
