2013 Toyota 4Runner - The Best Off-road Vehicle on the Market

The fifth generation Toyota 4Runner is better than ever before. It only comes with one engine option which is a 4.0 liter V6 that produces 270 horsepower and 278 lbs-feet of torque. The starting price for the 4Runner is $37,990. It is the last of a dying breed of the true SUV.

The 4Runner, a true off-road Sport Utility, combines heavy-duty body-on-frame construction with advanced multi-terrain functionality. It is well built and ready for your next adventure. On it you get a rugged front bumper, grille and overfenders, and a strong bumper. As a result it is ready to travel anywhere you take it. Functionality is a key component of the 4Runner and its design. It features a fold out storage tray which is perfect for some tailgating. There is plenty of room to carry equipment for work or for a camping trip. It comes with a rear window that you can put down which is extremely convenient.

The inside is well designed and it comes with cloth seats. The fabric on the seats is water repellent. However the navigation screen is small on the base model. A bigger screen comes with Limited Packages. It doesn’t offer the most features, but offers a powerful ride. If you are looking for something to drive to work or take the kids to soccer practice, you would be best to consider another vehicle.

However the interior is spacious and comfortable. It is equipped with advanced features and unique functionality, but is probably not the best choice for everyday use.
With the 4Runner you get an outstanding off-road vehicle. The 4Runner is smooth and does well driving on sand. If you are going off-road on a camping trip the 4Runner will get you there and back without any trouble. There are a few options that will improve its off-road capabilities. Its 17” wheels on SR5 and Trail Edition and 20’ wheels on the Limited Models help to enhance performance. There is underbody armor that protects the engine and fuel tank on the trail edition.

The 4Runner with the upgrade package will cost you $44,420. With this package you get a satellite antenna, integrated XM satellite radio, 6.1” display screen, a power moonroof, backup camera, anti-theft system, leather seats, third row seats, and steering wheel auto controls. This package is well worth the money and really doesn’t cost a lot when you think about what you get for the money.

On the 4Runner you get a 6.1” navigation system and backup camera. Limited Packages feature a state-of-the-art 7”-screen voice-activated DVD navigation system and JBL Audio.
Overall the Toyota 4Runner is an outstanding sport utility. It is a heavy duty vehicle that delivers a smooth ride no matter wherever you are going. The 4Runner is built with impact-absorbing body efficiently that channels impact energy away from the passenger cabin. It also comes with eight standard airbags that include side curtain airbags, side seat mounted, and knee airbags.
