The sale went ok. But try to get them to talk to you if you have an issue. Took me a month. They try to wait you out. Never been so annoyed with a dealer. Would not recommend
My wife and I have purchased 2 vehicles from Winnipeg Hyundai. Neither experience was pleasant.
The first time, we bought a 2011 Santa Fe Limited, loaded with accessories. Without even mentioning it to us, they sold us the floor model. When we came to pick up the vehicle, I realized they had given us the floor model, and brought it up. They acted like they were doing us a favour. I pointed out some marks in the paint, a small hole in one of the leather seats, and some other minor cosmetic damage. Their idea of "making things right" was to throw in the first oil change.
After the first experience, we had no intention of ever going back. Unfortunately, they lured us back in with a trade-in deal on our 2011 Santa Fe, just as our warranty was running out. Since we had just had a bit of a repair scare, we decided to trade-in so that we could continue to have a warrantied vehicle.
This time, we traded up to a 2016 Santa Fe XL Luxury addition, again loaded with accessories, plus an extended warranty. Between signing the deal and picking up the vehicle, I had some questions about the warranty. I both called and emailed Michelle in finance, but she was very bad at returning messages (I ended up having to follow up on my own messages). Eventually, I got my answers, but not without a lot of hassle.
While picking up the vehicle, I noticed they had not installed one of our accessories (a hood protector). I mentioned it to Michelle, and she told me it was back ordered. Fast forward 2 months and I still have not heard from the dealership regarding the hood protector, so I called their parts department. Lo and behold, they had one in stock. I tried contacting Michelle to see about getting it installed. That was on April 18th, and she has not returned my messages.
They would have to offer me a free vehicle to get my business a third time (and even then, I would think twice).
Edit 1: It is now May 6th, nearly 3 months from the date of purchase. I have still had no response from the dealership to my concerns. They have not even had the courtesy to reply to my email. Also, no follow up from "Ben" after he claimed he would start an inquiry and get back to me.
I will be going to the dealership to speak to the owner/manager face-to-face and will update my review afterward.
I bought a used Elantra from Winnipeg Hyundai 14 months ago, and it's been so great! The staff were very helpful helping me to decide between a few vehicles and were not pushy at all. They helped me pick the right vehicle, and had a great financing plan when it came time to deal with payment. I had a great experience and if looking for a used Hyundai, this is the place to go!
Thanks to Paul and staff for the excellent customer service I received this past weekend after I had my Tucson towed to the dealership just before close Friday. Even though the Service Department was fully booked for Saturday, diagnostics on my vehicle were completed by 11 am and I was called by Paul by 2 pm that my alternator had been replaced and my Tucson was ready for pick up. I have been a customer of this dealership for over ten years and have been very happy with both vehicles purchased and the service I have received to maintain them. Well done Winnipeg Hyundai!
I have purchased 2 new vehicles at Winnipeg Hyundai and have been more than satisfied with both the vehicles and the sales experience. I did not have a lot of service done on my first vehicle (another positive) and the newest has yet to reach a point of requiring anything. Overall I found the sales staff at the dealership to be friendly and helpful. My salesperson was excellent. I won't buying another vehicle soon but when I do Winnipeg Hyundai will be my first stop.
I bought a 2010 Santa Fe brand new at Winnipeg Hyundai and have serviced with them since then. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. My sales person was awesome and the service department is top notch. I have had friends buy at Winnipeg Hyundai because of me and I will continue to do everything I can to convince everyone I meet to buy and service there. I am a very happy customer and am a customer for life!
