New Car (Sales)

Late last December 2019 I have traded in my 2015 VW Jetta Hybrid for a demo 2019 Elantra Sport. The reason why I did business at this dealership is because my good friend was working as a sales associate and trusted him for a good deal. Once I have picked up the new car I have noticed right away that the transmission had some issues shifting gears, I did not think of it too much at the time as I thought this could be because it is a new car and it needed to be worked in. However, the issue only got worse where the transmission had issues shifting gears, loses power drastically when shifting to the next gear (which is not safe especially highway driving), and I only could drive the car in Sport mode because in other modes it will stall the car. In March 2019 the issue got so bad that the car was not safe to drive anymore, I have contacted the dealership representative regarding the issue and due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) the dealership was closed. At the end of March I was contacted by another dealership representative and I was advised to go service the car at another dealership since they were open with limited hours, immediately I took my car to that dealership and shortly after they have confirmed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. I have contacted the representative back from the Newmarket Hyundai dealership to escalate the issue to the dealership manager, I got a reply that it would be forwarded to the Sales Manager. Days later I did a follow up since I did not get a reply back, and after a week since contacting the dealership about the repair and to escalate the issue to the dealership manager I did not get any further reply back. I am very disappointed that I was sold a defective transmission car. I wish I did not do business at this dealership and it shows that they do not care either. Unfortunately, shortly after I have purchased this car my good friend was also let go, double fail for this dealership. Find another dealership that will not sell you defective cars.

On Monday, I called him back to finalize. He agreed and I came to dealership and he said “ I can not give you that price”

Please do not waste your time or money at this dealership. I purchased a used car with certain things written in my sales contract that they had to fix. Took my car back to have them completed and they returned the car in worst condition. Totally unhelpful after the fact. Blamed the other company they hired to do the repairs. The worst customer service and attention to detail I have ever seen. Please use another Hyundai dealership. I've regretted this purchase since the day I bought the vehicle.

I've been taking my vehicle here for just over a year ( due to my warranty agreement) and every time I get an oil change I have a different experience. There is no regularity to the visits. One time It was over the top amazing, they even did a quick wash of the outside of my car.. but then another time switched my oil from regular to synthetic without even telling me, I noticed it on the bill and had to ask about it . Today they did a long check list of things but then when I got the car back some of the things were not done ( like filling my washer fluid, which it said was done but clearly wasn't. Had to call and have a guy come out with a container of fluid, didn't even fill it up all the way) . As a regular customer I'm quite upset at the differences of service.

Started of looking at a Nissian SUV and Matthew let us take a test drive. We liked the car very much. We were told it was a 2017 Rogue and negotiated a deal. Gave the deposit and purchased the car. We sat down with another representative and they said congratulations on you 2015 Nissan Rogue. We were very shocked and confused that in writing we had purchased a 2017. Turns out Matthew had made a mistake and sold us a car that’s 2015 actually. We were embarrassed and disappointed and after making this mistake they tried to convince us to take the car anyway. I felt very embarrassed and the like did not care about what they had done. They refunded the deposit and we left. Not a single person reached out to apologize or offer any restitution. They don’t care about the customer service or making customers satisfied. They didn’t take any responsibility for the mistake or try to support the customer through such a horrible experience. I called back to speak to manager and he was like ya well he will learn from his mistake we gave you a good price.
Avoid this place!!! Terrible customer care on all levels!

Seriously good service and well priced cars not to mention a competitive warranty and service package.
I like the Elantra because it comes in a sport model and in 6 speed.
I also like the Kona, but no manual transmission, which makes me sad.
My wife is sold on the Tuscon. Very nice on the test drive. You can feel the safety and security of the superstructure as you drive. I like the front and rear heated seats and the vents.
But Android Auto and Apple Car Play? Wish my Dart had that and maybe I'd keep it.

The service department here is not a place I can trust. Let me explain three experiences:

I have a Sonata 2013 limited that I bought used from the same dealer.

My engine check light went on. They diagnosed it twice and charged me for it and said there is a small leak and I need to pay a few more hundred dollars to replace a part that "possibly" fixes it. My battery died and I replaced it and the light went off and it is now off for more that 3 months.

Same car, the turn signal light on the side mirror was cracked and I asked them to fix it. The price was about $800 because they said they have to replace the side mirror and it needs ordering, painting, and installing. I ordered the signal light online ($30) and replaced it by myself.

Same car, the backup camera works on and off. I can guess its a loose connection or something similar. Again their recommendation is replacing the backup camera at about $1000.

Anyways if you are going for an oil change, then they are nice people and they have a good coffee machine which also brews hot chocolate and mocha!

I purchased a vehicle here last week and I've noticed a few things I'm not happy with about the vehicle. The vehicle I purchased is 3 years old with 100,000 km. First off the salesman that sold me the car told me he'd call within a few days to make sure I was happy with the vehicle which he didn't. I noticed quite a bit of rust on the roof..... Keep in mind this is by far the most I've spent on a vehicle.... I called the salesman and talked to him about my concerns and he in turn told me..... It's Saturday and he's really busy so just send him pictures and he'd get back to me. I waited until Tuesday and then I walked into the dealership and talked to the manager and he left and came back and told me my salesman Jason would definitely get back to me. I asked for that in writing and he just brushed it off but assured me he would call. It's now Friday and haven't heard anything back. Horrible customer service. Don't buy a car from this place!
