Being from Grimsby, I was hoping to work with my local dealer. Didn't happen, so ended up buying a Dodge in Milton for a much better price...seems much more expensive everywhere down here to buy any car :( So now I have a Dodge, I figure to use my local dealer for service. Went well at first, but then Grimsby Chrysler denied a warranty item saying it wasn't an OEM part. I took it back to the Milton Dealer for them to cover the item on their warranty, and they took it to Milton Chrysler themselves for the warranty part, and MC DID cover it, no problem!!!! Then I had another warranty problem that I proved to them should need fixing, but since they had "no codes" to confirm the problem, they told me in there view it was working fine and there was nothing they would do for me :( I'm still going to have to deal with my Grimsby dealer as Milton is just too far to go all the time, but I don't know how they keep winning these Local Choice Awards for the service I've seen so far. And as for their Part prices, don't get me started!!! $30 for a 12" wiper I was told I could only get from a dealer, and I then found the EXACT same one on eBay for $5 a piece....not good! Also asked my local mechanic what his thoughts were on Grimsby Chrysler, and he said he hears about 50% good vs 50% bad from his local Dodge clients, so we know where I am now.
Service staff are inattentive and time frames are never accurate. Often don't have the answers needed and don't follow up
I purchased a new 2010 Dodge Ram truck from them with a totally positive experience. So when I decided to purchase a used car BMW 328i from them I felt I was in good hands.
Sadly that wasn't the case, first the car passenger mirror which are automatically retractable would swing out to the front of the vehicle while driving. When I return the following day after purchase I was told this wasn't a safety issue and that it wasn't covered, the repair being $800. A call to Performance BMW in St. Catharines was placed and the worst case $400 complete mirror replacement.
I was also shown a work order that all the brakes were done, new pads rotors etc. The rear brakes were never done and the fronts that they did replace they broke off the brake wear sensor. It's a $30 part from BMW and required when brakes are replaced.
Sadly I won't be back for a third purchase from this dealership.
update 10/23/2016 I did purchase a Jeep Wrangler from Performance Chrysler St Catharines, great experience, recommend anyone to take a trip down to St Catharines.
This dealership is top notch!! They return calls promptly, run a great shuttle service and really went beyond.
This centre has Professional and caring staff....We will definitely be going back for any service updates with my Dodge Grand Caravan! Thank you!!!
I could never of asked for unbelievable service , the tech Skip was very informative and told me ahead of time of what I could be looking at in the future (brakes, and Tires) . As a customer I appreciate the advanced warning so I can have time to save up. Great Service , Great dealership :)
