I have Tiguan 2016 and no use it very often . In 2018 the mileage only16800KM, they ask me do 30000 KM mileage maintenance and change $272+tax(include oil change). It seems over serviced for t
Now, my Car only 22500KM, it is already served for 45000KM mileage maintenance . It seems not necessary, we are paying over service for nothing.

An other case is , my car still in VW guaranty, check engine lights on, I went to Romar to solving the problem. Finally they tell me, every thing is ok. Then charge me $116.96 labor fee. I really don’t understand what is VW warranty meaning for. Unbelievable this service charge!

Worst experience ever. They never called me to advise that my car was ready for pickup. When I called to have some news, they told me they did call before which was not true, and that the shuttle service was over for the day. They preferred to lose a client over refunding me 20$ for my taxi, the explanation was that if they do it with a client, the should do it with all their clients. Never returning. If I could, I would not give them even one star.

My initial experience here was okay - the car salesman Ricky was great with both cars - I have purchased a Jetta and now a Tiguan. My Jetta was amazing. The Tiguan has been a disaster.

With the Tiguan I have had issue after issue - with 23,000km on the car I have had to put oil in over 10 times! After calling for advice, Michael who works in service made a remark to "have my husband call" because what I was saying (the car needing so much oil) didn't make sense. He mentioned every 5,000-7,000km the car would need oil but calling other VW dealerships I was told it's 7,500-10,000 MILES or 12,000-16,000 km so I really shouldn't need that much oil.

A few months ago we brought the car for an oil change and oil filter change, and were told "you won't need to add any oil until your next oil change," well guess what we have had to add oil 2 more times since then.

They continue to tell me there is nothing wrong with the car which is highly frustrating. I will never buy another car from here again or recommend VW to anyone. STAY AWAY

I have honestly never received such amazing and friendly service from a dealership as much as VW Rimar. Kathy has gone above and beyond for my husband and I from beginning to end on purchasing the perfect vehicle for our baby girl that is on the way. Even after the purchase has been complete, Kathy, along with Michael were always there to serve me at 110%. Including Tania from the service department was always there making sure I have everything and treating me with so much kindness. I really feel the love and the care everytime I walk in there. Don’t go here… avoid this dealership as if it were the plague! There are way too many other VW dealers in and around Montreal for anyone to settle for this shameful place. After getting robbed of my deposit I started reading reviews and quickly learned I’m not the only one.

They wanted to sell me a car for full retail price PLUS a premium and acted like I was getting a bargain. After signing and leaving a deposit, they refused to give me a printout of what I was signing for saying I would get all the paperwork at delivery. I went home and crunched the numbers and I quickly noticed I was getting played for a fool… it was ridiculous! What kind of dealership sells a car for MORE than MSRP and pretends it’s a bargain!

When I backed out, they refused to give me my deposit back. Management’s own smug advice was: “You shouldn’t have left a deposit”.

A bunch of liars and crooks!

I expect a “scripted” copy/paste response to this review about how they value my blah-blah-blah… and management will look into it. Don’t be fooled… I’ve been getting d***ed around and ignored for weeks.

Very lack luster. Take it from a guy who also used to work in car sales, this level of customer service was more than sub-par. Waited 20 mins beyond our appointment with not a single person coming to great us while in the dealership. No offering of a place to sit nor a cup of coffee, nothing. General Manager did not come see us to meet us either which is an industry standard. Delivery person did not want to deliver the car on the weekend either, which begs the question of his standards of caring at all for his clients. Sales man was condescending about how Volkswagen has high standards. And he may be right, but Rimar however, is a old dealership with new paint on the outside to bait people in.

No gas in the tank for a 40k$+ vehicle, simply to save themselves money.
When arriving to collect the car, they did not even have the promised winter tires and mags associated to the purchase. Then proceeded to make excuses that they will have to be ordered but have no indication of how long it will take to have them in.

I just walked away from Rimar Volkswagen in Saint-Leonard because the seller wants me to make a non-refundable deposit on the newly announced EV ID4 AWD, a model that no one has seen yet.

They just wasted 60 min of my life since I purposely asked the guy on the phone if the deposit is refundable and they said yes twice! They made me come to the dealer then say otherwise!

Stay away from this dealer!

Decided to change my wife’s Jetta. We bought that new from there in 2013. Contacted with them by live chat. Got answer and invitation for a Saturday. Went there with wife and daughter. The person who made an appointment, was not there. He did not inform no one. No one did not want to resolve the issue. There was just one person who could figure out the problem. He did not have time. I asked about any Saturday. He said he always busy in Saturdays !!!!! and asked our phone number to make an appointment in other days. No one did not call. No one to work on Saturday for clients. Horrible relationship. I like VW cars. But never go for them to Rimar again.

When calling to make an appointment for a check engine under warranty, they tell you they are not available until the next month, and when I asked if I can bring my car at 1pm, next month, the incompetent lady on the phone said that's impossible with an attitude, telling me that for a check engine it takes 2 hours and they close at 4:30...so not only they can't accommodate you, but on top of that they have people who can't even add 1 plus 2! Pathetic service.

Dont trust them. Went for my tire change and an alignment. Steering was shaking and the tires were making noises. Had to go back twice.. and spend many hours waiting with no result. Ending up going to Duval VW they check the alignment and the balance and it was totally wrong. They fix it and everything is working fine. I had to pay twice for the same job since they didn't want to refund me for their bad job.

Left my car for reparations and never call me to advice it was ready. Left two messages, never called back. I called later to have news and they told me they did called me when the car was ready which was not true at all. When I asked for a shuttle to pick me up from work as I had no spare car with me, they told me the service was over for the day. Asked to refund the taxi service to get there, and they told me NO, that if they did that for me, they should do it for all clients. Overall it was my fault for not having called earlier, which I did twice. They preferred losing a long standing customer over refunding 20$ for a taxi. So disappointed I will never return.

Unfortunately, this was truly the worst service I’ve ever received. Took 10 calls to get an appointment. After the appointment they had to order the piece which took 3 weeks. They never called me to let me know the piece was received, I had to follow up a many occasions. Once they received the piece we took an appointment for the piece and an oil change. They forgot the oil change and once I got home I noticed they had left tools in the back seat and that I was missing an wheel cap. Brought back the tools and ask if they could help me with the cap, but wanted to charge me full price. Never going back. I answered poorly to their survey and received an email that they would call me to excuse themselves, yet they never called. Horrible experience!!!!

Sales consultants (R.) are extremely pushy and dishonest. I was told I will get a better deal than the one I had, they gave me similar price to pay per month (for a purchase), with a cheque to cover some expenses, but i had to pay a certain deposit. The price to pay per month was calculated AFTER the deposit I pay, which means that (1) this is not a better deal , and (2) the cheque I receive as "gift" is somehow a return of the deposit I pay... Plus that amount is even lower than what I pay as deposit. It was a huge game, and i am happy that i noticed it early enough and left from the beginning. I did find a better deal at the end, with more honest salesmen. I do not recommend at all.

Since my Jetta 2013 was unable to start, I had to pay a towing to boost the battery. Thereafter, I called VW Rimar and was told that they can do a checkup for free if number of KM is not high, in my case it was 22000. So I went there and to my surprise I ended up paying almost $80 for tighten the battery cable which it was already well fixed. So I doubt that it was the cause of the car not starting up. I found this ridiculous for charging customers where their cars are still under Warranty. Good Job VW. I'm 100% sure my next car won't be VW. I just want to finish this lease soon.
