The overall customer satisfaction to this dealership would be 0. Initially I had issues with my AC compressor after one month from which I took the car. When I went to other VW dealership to fix this issue, they figured that the engine modification done by 401 dixie Volkswagen was not done properly due to which there were many leakages in the cylinder line. They said it’s a major issue and they didn’t recommend me to use the car in that condition. When I bought the car from 401 dixie Volkswagen they said the car is all inspected, and nothing is wrong with the car. Never again go to 401 dixie Volkswagen for anything. They don’t know how to work on the cars or how to speak to a customer.
I had very bad experience at this dealer. The deal was not at all good and the vehicle they provided me was not in good condition even after safety. Later, I discovered that the loan of my car which i traded in was not paid by the dealership. I came to know from the bank statement and then i contacted my bank regarding this. They confirmed that my assumptions were right. I called the dealership regarding this. When I talked this matter to my sales person Ryan, he texted back telling he have nothing to do with this. Is this the way you handle it? and then when i spoke with the finance department they were rude at me telling it will take time. Since i bought this issue in front of them they paid the amount in half hour. So are they waiting for us to find out the frauds which they have done? The bank already deducted one payment even after the deal was over. I dont understand this. It took them only half an hour for them to pay the loan. They kept my file for atleast a month so that they can grab whatever money I'm paying to the bank. When we enquire about this they treat us as if they are giving something free. Never again to them. Such a worse dealership.
So this is my second review regarding 401 dixie volkswagen. As i mentioned in my first review i purchased a 2015 jetta TDI from this dealer. There were issues to the brakes and tires. So the general manager Terry called me for an appointment since i was not satisfied with the purchase. I went into to dealership and Nick ( service manager ) inspected my car and he explained me everything about the car. He was actually good at what he does. However i was not satisfied with my brakes and i went to my local mechanic to fix it and he fixed it very well. Secondly the tires were in pathetic condition and they refused to give me a average tire. All they said was I'm taking a used car and i have to bear with the tires which comes with it . Really? The tires in the car wont last more than 10000 km.
Very disappointed with the after sales customer service. All they care is sales and nothing after that. Never again to this dealer. They wasted my 3 days telling they would fix everything.
Very bad experiance
I had a very bad experience at this dealer. I’m giving 1 star because there is no option to give 0. I purchased a used Volkswagen jetta from this dealer. Firstly, it took almost 2 weeks for them to deliver the car. They kept telling there were many paper works to be completed before they can hand in my car. But I doubt it since it took more than 2 weeks for it. Ryan was the sale person who handled my deal.
So finally I got my car after 2 weeks. When they gave the car I noticed that the tire was in bad condition. In addition to this the brakes were very low. Also the steering was very stiff. I said them this is not fair since they told me they told the 116 point inspection and the safety was done. All they said was its none of their business and I have to bear with that rotten brakes and tires. I even showed them how pathetic the brakes were during the test drive and I didn’t want to take a chance since I drive in highways. They said I should have told them before the deal although they promised the car would be in perfect condition after the safety. Now they refused to do any works in the car. I’m planning to give the car to the dealer back since I have the right to since the car is in bad condition. Never again taking a car from or service. Stay away from them
I was called in to evaluate my existing car even though I told them that it wont work out. I was assured that the dealer would work out something in my favor but they just went back on their word and told me the deal won't work out, which according to me is a very bad customer experience. I would never go to this dealership to get a car in the future.
went for service....Just little problem that car was pulling slightely right. They said they will charge 120 to diognise the problem. and if they found 2 problems, then the only inspection will cost 240 plus taxes and repair is another thing to cost further. what a bad inspection policy. Imagine that if they find 10 small problems in inspection, they will charge 1200+ tax for inspection only .
Dixi VW manager is full of drama . I agr wed the price on the phone and text but upon reaching there the sales guy Peter said there’s miscommunication. I it as just waste to my time . I’ll never recommend this dealership
A very well-run organization. Very professional staff members, extremely polite & non-pushy attitude.I was dealing with Mr.Peter Gonzalez. Unfortunately, I did not end up buying the car but I would definitely recommend this car dealership to everyone looking for a new car
TL;DR - Arrogance, disappointment, rudeness, lack of customer service. Go to other dealerships. Dilawri should be ashamed. I was explicitly told that everytime I use unhaggle that it costs the dealership $50 and that this would be factored into the cost of my car.
BEWARE: If you do not succumb to the dealership and sign on their offer, they will tell you to "sit in the lounge and decide there". In this day and age, who tells potential clients this? Complete lack of regard for professionalism will ultimately hurt their bottom line sooner than later.
Naturally, I will shop around dealerships to see what is considered "average" or fair to pay for any particular vehicle. The new vehicle sales manager, Matthew Clark sits in his glass bowl, and refuses to come out to speak about the purchasing process.
The sales rep Chris Smith, was hesitant and reluctant to even propose an offer to Matthew, if anything, at least humour me. Chris would be the only redeeming factor for this dealership. Though I do not like the fact they will say one thing in text/e-mail, only to immediately backtrack once you are in the dealership. Bait and switch tactics. The only time Matthew came out to speak to us was to say goodbye, presented his business cards, and said that he would like to make $1000 on a vehicle, and if we do not like this offer we can sit in the lounge and decide there. Not sure if he is inexperienced, arrogant, or this is the culture of this dealership (perhaps all of the above) - often touting that they are the #1 volume dealer in Ontario, but perhaps their management is last place in customer service.
At other dealerships, the process was transparent, positive, and welcoming. Sales managers would come to help the sales consultant answer questions, and business was usual. The price ended up being similar, though of course, they were able to provide competitive pricing whereas Dixie would not entertain the idea. Ultimately, I would have even paid a little more to avoid this horrible experience at Dixie.
Part one of the story.
I'm very angry. In December I bought the Atlas and as I left, I immediately heard a knock at the rear. But there were holidays and I did not have time to address this problem at once. I work for a dealer where I deal with old and new cars, and over the years of my experience I know well what is good and bad. So, for some time, I made the appointment to fix the problem. I left the car for the whole day, Calling me and saying that everything was done. I left the dealer completely unchanged, with the same knock.
Part too.
I understand that people can make mistakes so I made another destination. They called me and said they could not find me. I went out of work to take the mechanic to test about on the road with him. We ride together in the car began to become and I asked if you hear, he said several times that he does not hear and when I looked at him he said that it is normal. In a brand new car ??? Then another mechanic went with me but before they sat in the car, they talked to each other on the side. And he repeated all the same. Then they took the Atlas manager to compare but he had a lot of things in the trunk and there was nothing to hear. My friend has the Atlas and no bad knocks. At the forum, I read that the same owner had the exact same thing and eliminated the problem, I even got out from him a list of what they did and now a really new car. I'm thinking of appealing to General Wolfswagen and asking for what they are paying for because the list is huge, but the problem has remained.
Staffs were very friendly, felt welcome.
The person who inspected my car explained very well in details.
Sales agent was really helpful in finding me a 2017 Jetta
Offer made was great
As a first time car buyer, I can say with confidence that Volkswagen provides excellent customer service. Buying a car for the first time can be overwhelming and intimidating, but the staff at 401 Dixie Volkswagen made the experience enjoyable for me. The sales staff are friendly, welcoming and patient. They never pressured me into making a decision and let me take my time looking through all of the models they were offering. Unhaggle referred me to Peter Gonzales, who was super friendly and patient during the whole negotiation/purchase process of my new 2017 VW Golf. After the purchase process was completed the dealership had my car ready the same week for pick-up! I couldn't be happier with my new Volkswagen Golf.
I recently bought a new 2016 VW from Dixie 401 from a gentlemen named Blake Elliot. From the moment I connected with Blake I had a wonderful experience. He is professional and patient. He answered all of my questions and my fathers carefully and with detail. I can say confidently that I really believe I received a great value for my purchase and would not have asked for another Sales Rep.
I definitely would recommend Blake to anyone in search of a new car - He is insightful, direct and easy to get along with!
Thank you Blake -Wish you continued success :)
Pleasant experience
I recently purchased a 2015 VW Golf from Blake Elliott at 401 Dixie. I don't really know too much about cars, nor do I really understand the intricacies of what a good engine consists of, or how much horsepower a car should have or any other technical terms. What I did know was that I wanted a safe, affordable and pretty car, that would be good on gas, and I couldn't be more grateful to Blake for making this happen. Not only did Blake explain everything in detail, he remained patient when I asked him a million questions, and he worked with my level of knowledge to help me choose the right car for me.
Blake's approach to selling me my car was simple: do what's right for you. I never felt pressured or uneasy about decisions and Blake was there to provide anything I required in order to ensure I felt comfortable through the whole process. And now, thanks to Blake, I made an awesome decision purchasing my Golf!
To anyone buying a car, go see Blake - he will totally take care of you! Blake, thank you so much for everything. I truly appreciate everything you did!
I recently bought a 2015 Golf, and was assisted by Blake Elliot. I looked a lot of different cars (VW, Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Nissan) at a lot of different dealerships and have to say that 401 Dixie had the best service by far.
I appreciated the very simple and very quick negotiating process. There was no continuous back and forth between him and a manager (I really dislike dealerships that do that). He simply offered me the best price he was willing to give, which also happened to be lower than all the other VW dealerships.
Something else I appreciated about Blake was that I never felt pressured to purchase the vehicle. He welcomed me to take my time to think about my decision and didn't pull any tricks such as "I can only offer you this price if you buy today" (something else I also dislike about some dealerships).
As a bonus, they managed to prepare the car for me in 2 business days (other dealerships said I would have to wait up to 7 days). When the day came to actually pick up the car, Blake spent a good 30 minutes going over all the various features of the car (some that I didn't know about) as well as tips and tricks. He also was kind enough to call me a week later and check in on how I was doing. I find that it's these small touches that all add up to great customer service. 401 Dixie is one of the nicer looking VW dealerships, but I definitely recommend you go and get Blake to help you out!
Very nice dealership and nice staff.
Getting my car from this place was a dream. Blake Elliot was the one who contacted me Unhaggle. I went in a few days later and he had everything laid out in front of me, everything was very open ended and there was nothing that was hidden from me throughout the entire transaction. In the end I picked up my Jetta TDI and cannot be happier. If you are interested in purchasing a car, don't hesitate to go see Blake, you won't be disappointing.
My daughter recently purchased a new Golf TSI from Blake Elliot at 401 Dixie Volkswagen. I have purchased several new vehicles over the years and this was by far the most enjoyable and satisfying car buying experience I have been involved with. Blake was knowledgable, courteous, never pushy and kept us informed while we waited for the ordered vehicle to be delivered. Buying your first new car is a special occasion and Blake made sure that it was perfect and memorable. The car was properly prepped and was absolutely gleaming with balloons tied to it. Thanks Blake for a great experience !
After spending some time researching for a good deal on what I wanted, a 21015 GTI, Unhaggle helped me!
As soon as I provided my contact info, Blake Elliot at 401 Dixie contacted me to setup an appointment. It was by far the most professional and transparent sales experience I dealt with at a car dealership ever.
Blake is very knowledgeable in what I was interested in, he provided me all details I needed. He was not pushy to close a sale, he gave me the space I needed to make my own decision. It was a great and pleasant experience from start to finish. I highly recommend reaching out to Blake if you are looking to buy a Volkswagen.
Very happy with our new 2015 Golf TDI and would like to thank Blake Elliot for such a smooth no-nonsense transparent car buying experience through unhaggle.com and 401 Dixie Volkswagen. Really appreciate the time you spent with us after getting in touch with your dealership through unhaggle.com. Really appreciated your no-pressure sales approach. All of your extensive knowledge of the Golf TDI passed on to us then has been of great value. It’s not often we meet a sales person that seems genuinely interested in building a good customer relationship, especially after closing the deal. The unhaggle experience with Blake Elliott and 401 Dixie Volkswagen was amazing not to mention the money we saved as well.
If any of our family or friends would be interested in buying a Volkswagen, we would without any doubt refer them to the unhaggle website to hook up with Blake Elliot at 401 Dixie Volkwagen, Mississauga.
Thanks so much for all your help.
New car buying experience at 401 Dixie was excellent. After spending time at other dealerships and on-line searching for vehicles, Blake Elliot made the experience positive with his follow up in the initial stages of the search and with the delivery of the new car. Highly recommend Blake if you are searching for a VW.
I spent a good bit of time researching what I was looking for in a new car and reached out to several dealerships in the Mississauga area including Mississauga VW, Humberview VW and Oakville VW. Blake Elliot at 401 Dixie was by far the most professional and personable sales consultant I dealt with. He was very knowledgeable in the models I was interested in and made sure my experience with him and the dealership was pleasant from start to finish. I highly recommend reaching out to Blake if you are looking to buy a Volkswagen.
Blake called us the day after we looked at cars on Unhaggle.com. We came in shortly after just to grab some pricing information and look around and maybe go for a test drive. At the end of our meeting, WE HAD BOUGHT A CAR! Blake is an amazing salesperson, and really helps narrow down the field of choices for you and make you feel confident about the decision that you came to together. My father and I are beyond pleased with the seamless and hassle free process. Blake laughed at our brutal jokes and answered our constant onslaught of questions with a smile that never faltered. We got an great deal and even got a little freebie or two thrown in. I love my new Jetta and could not have imagined a better sales person. I think I will forever be with VW because I don't want to deal with anyone else. Blake, you better not quit.. ever. We will be back, and will refer everyone we know to 401 Dixie VW.
Without hesitation, I am able to offer my recommendation for Blake Elliott and the entire team at 401 Dixie VW. 401 Dixie VW provided me with an unmatched level of friendly, courteous customer service. From purchase to delivery, the entire process with smooth. Although some delays occurred in my delivery, 401 Dixie VW used that as an opportunity to once again show how much they valued their customers by contacting VW Canada and ensuring my car arrived prior to the earlier stated date by the company. Thank you Blake for your professionalism, knowledge, and open channel of communication. I look forward to dealing with Blake and the 401 Dixie team again.
Hi, I'd definitly recomend 401 Dixie VW. We were especialy happy with Blake's patient approach in walking us through the process of purchasing new 2015 Jetta TDI. He was awesom and delivered without any pressure what we wanted. Everyone at the dealership was grate and treated us well.
Thank you Blake and 401 Dixie.
Beautiful dealership, walked in with the intention of buying 2014 Jetta in September I was told unfortunately they could not find any 2014 anywhere so I should consider the new 2015. Thanked Blake and walked out then I called Orangeville VW and dealt with Don Eng, assured me he could get one and I was driving a new 2014 Jetta a week later.
Never let a sale walk out your door.
Orangeville VW excellent service, from Don Eng and Maxine Nowlan. I highly recommend taking the time and going up to see them.

We don't like to let a sale out the door - but we also don't write up a sale for a vehicle we cannot deliver. Glad you were able to find yourself a Volkswagen and congratulations once again!
6.Sep.2013 I called the dealership and spoke to Joe Kim who I think is no longer there and explained to him how I was interested in this used 2012 Golf wagon and put in a serious off and my only condition was to contact by email no phone calls .I told Joe that I believe the car was sold but made my offer before knowing that and he assured me that it was still for sale at that point and couple of hours later he emailed me sure enough saying "This is Joe from 401 Dixie VW.
We spoke on the phone and you have put an offer but
right after I went over
to my manager and
find out that this car is sold and it is going almost
99% to that
customer.
Sorry about this but it is what it is.
I will let you know if there are anything incoming that
is similar and
we’ll go from there.
Thanks for your interest but unfortunate that I
couldn’t do anything this
time."
Never heard from Joe again .
I would not recommend 401 Dixie VW to anyone

We are sorry to hear that your experience with 401 Dixie Volkswagen was not a great one. We strive to deliver world class service. You are correct in stating that Joe Kim is no longer at our dealership, and that’s why he did not get back to you.
If you are still in the market for a vehicle, I’d be delighted to assist you. My name is Blake Elliot and you can reach me at 905-238-7188.
