We were in the middle of a deal, even checked the car by our mechanic and was waiting for them to get back to us. But they got back and said the car is gone! Someone else bought it!!

To clarify my point here (after seeing their customer service reply): During this process, no one from the dealership called to ask if we are willing to purchase the car as is! We told them that we are serious about buying this car, waiting for them to check the issues that our mechanic mentioned, and get back to us. VolksWaggon shop (not surprisingly!) confirmed the necessity of fixing the issues upon the sales department request to recheck the car (which they previously assured us that it is already done and they are super savvy about it). They agreed to fix one item and told us they will get back ti us for the rest.
"Being professional and responsible" would be to just call back before putting this car back in the market and say, "Hey! we know these problems exist but we're not fixing them and we're not dropping the price. so do you want this car or no?"
Their method of choice: sending an email that said: we are not fixing the car [although we prevoiusly told you that we would] and we already sold it to someone else! Goodluck!

After my first visit to the dealership, Dan (the sales manager) sent a personal video of the vehicle I was looking at, which highlighted some of he features I might've missed, a recap of the potential payments and of course an invitation to come back for another look. I thought this was a really unique marketing tool and certainly grabbed my attention.

This is a hard review to write. Their Service Center I'd give a solid 5. I dealt with a guy there that was super professional and saved me quite a bit of money.
On the other hand. I will likely never buy another vehicle from this dealership. Super disappointed with the after-sales customer service.

Sorry guys - not recommending this service. I appreciated all the effort to make this positive. I had booked a Grande car cleaning which included bug and tar removal. Bugs and tar were removed.
Upon seeing my black vehicle after detailing-there are swirls and scratch's everywhere from the waxing making me feel terrible. I had to go back and show the dealership. They agreed to take in and buff it. After doing so- the paint still has swirls and looks worse then before F'ton VW detailed it.
This review will sound like a set-up but here’s the truth: If you’re thinking of buying a car, you can quit searching now and call Fredericton VW. They’re brilliant. I’m a suspicious older dame who looks sideways at auto dealerships, car salespeople and most dealer mechanics. But right from the start, the folks at FVW were straightforward, kind, honest and helpful. Not pushy. They patiently answered my 1,001 questions in person and via email. When I bought a second-hand Golf back in March, they excavated all repair records and were transparent about its history. When I traded in that vehicle (the Golf was great, but I decided to swallow hard and get a new car in July), they handled the trade-in generously and found the perfect Jetta. All financial dealings went smoothly, and follow-up has been reassuring. We live in strange times when the words “honourable” and “integrity” mean little. But at Fredericton VW, they seem to mean everything. Speaking of strange times, the dealership is extremely careful about managing Covid-19 which, as an older person, I appreciate beyond measure.
October 2018 i had filed a rust warranty claim. Nearly two years later AND a 2016 jetta from that dealership later, i found out my claim has been closed because the dealer “called” me and couldnt get in contact with me. Although they could certainly reach me if they wanted me to come in and buy a brand new car! I thought this customer service was great, but not anymore. The blame has really been placed on me even though i had called a few times asking whats going on and they said they would call me. Now my vehicles out of the policy, much more rust is on the vehicle. Extremely disheartening as a loyal vw lover. Will not be returning.

I was in the market for a used car since pre covid and had been looking around for awhile. once covid changed the car buying experience up Fredericton VW was quick to adapt. Shelby my sales woman was very knowledgeable and informative. I preferred to wait till I could test drive vehicles before buying. Shelby kept in contact and provided up to date information. test driving and the sales experience was awesome. I'm a chronic car buyer and have been through many different brands over 10 years and nothing compared to experience at fredericton VW.
shortly after driving a minor issue arose I was extremely impressed with the swift response from manager James and owner Rob. both were extremely helpful and made sure to get the problem addressed promptly which took any worry off my hands.

I was in to pick up a part for an Audi and they were very helpful - they had the part although it was for a VW but an Oring is an Oring.
Staff are not in your face but they are very accommodating and don't forget that you're there. I've never owned a VW but if I was buying one, I wouldn't feel like visiting Fredericton Volkswagon was a chore.
Tried to buy a car from this place on two seperate occasions. Tried to get a GTI, had everything all drawn up and went in to sign my paperwork and get my keys and they tried to get me to sign off on a +$100 more monthly payment than we had talked about the day before. Went back the next year because my gf wanted a beetle and they low balled us super hard for a trade in. Went to St John VW and got ten thousand more for our trade in. Drive to St John. It's worth it. Don't trust these people. They're crooks.

We just purchased our second VW (Tiguan YAY!), from Fredericton VW. Our first car was a 2007 VW Rabbit which I purchased in 2006 and finally after 12 years and 351 987 KMs it was time to upgrade to a bigger vehicle. I have had nothing but great service throughout the years at Fredericton VW and would recommend Fredericton VW to anyone who is looking to purchase either new or certified-VW car. From dealing with JT, Troy, and Jenna, the process was easy and simple and an absolute pleasure.

The service department at Fredericton VW is very untrustworthy and will tell you car needs an abundance of unneeded parts constantly. If they say your car needs anything done to it, consult a mechanic you trust before getting any work done to the vehicle. For 6 years they have badgered me to put parts on my car that where not necessary or work that had been already done and they still claimed it needed replacing. When I said no to these ridiculous claims they even started calling me at home to try and get me back in the shop. Here are just a couple examples out of many I will share.
1: They told me 2 years ago that my front brakes where basically gone. I told them I would have them looked at and they tried to use fear mongering to get me to commit to the work right there. I left and had them inspected by another mechanic and he told me I should get another 2 or 3 years out of them and they lasted that long. This year (2 years from the date they told me to replace them) I had the front brakes replaced in January. In February I took it to VW for an oil change because VW had cross threaded my oil plug during my previous service. The brakes at this point are 1 month old and the service manager said they need replacing right away. I ask them to explain this and they could not give me an answer. The service manager backpedaled and kept talking about "my safety" to change the conversation and never gave me answer. .
2: I asked my wife to drop my car off for a service appointment as I was going to be away. I had replaced the air and cabin filters myself the day prior to a service appointment as it was recommended and I did not want to huge mark ups. They told me over the phone that they checked my air filter and cabin filter and they needed to be replaced. I asked how this was possible since it was all ready done. Again, more back pedaling and another list of things to replace. Afterward, they told my wife that my brakes needed replacing and tried to get her pay to have it done as I had all ready told them no.
This is basically how every service appointment has gone over the time I have owned the vehicle. I will never perchance another Volks vehicle because of this dealership and their service department. To be honest the sale experience was not great either when I bought the car, but I really liked it. I have regretted it ever since. I had such good luck with Chrysler and Ford that I should have not switched.

I was treated with respect and courtesy by everyone. When I had a problem with the car in the first week even though I did not have the extended warranty, they were right on top of things helping me get it fixed at my local Ford dealer in Grand Falls. I recently purchased a new 2017 Golf 3-door from Jenna and had a great time. The only hard part of the whole process was waiting on my car to arrive from the factory, but it was well worth the wait! A few calls and emails back and forth I got the deal I wanted but didn't expect. Then everything took a turn for the worse from being talked down to in harsh toned and patronizing attitudes....getting hung up on before i finished my sentence via phonecall....was told I would be called with updates never got one single call...not a good start whatsoever...will be talking to owner.
