We called on November 8 when our van started making strange noises over the Coquihalla and spoke with service manager, Ryan. When we pulled in an hour later, his staff knew we were coming and called him immediately. He pulled a technician off his job to confirm his own suspicions. Yes, our water pump was failing. His shop was booked for a week, but his quick-thinking advisor, Brenden had booked us in for the next morning when a cancellation came in 5 minutes before we drove up! They ordered parts immediately and we were on the road just after 1pm the next day. Stellar performance, everyone! Thank you!
had a collision with a highway divider on the coquihalla on our way to banff, which bent the front left rim on the car really badly. ryan & the front desk ladies were super friendly and understanding. they got us back on the road within a few hours, while we were sure we were going to have to stay overnight in kamloops & cancel our banff trip. simon the driver was also super lovely. highly recommend the service shop here.
Always have a good experience here. Carl is our car guy:) he always comes through for myself and my family whenever it's time to get a new vehicle. And Cam was very helpful for the finance portion. There is always someone greeting us , and the staff are always smiling.

Hertz rented me a Rav 4 with worn out wipers. Dropped into Sun Country Toyota without an appointment, and they supplied and fitted a new set of wipers for $22 and I was out the door within 10 minutes. Great service - thanks Simone and David!

I was shocked today by the poor customer service I received at this dealership. I drive a newer Ford Escape and experienced some major mechanical issues and was left stranded on the roadside. Since it was in front of Sun Country Toyota I went in seeking any help they could provide. I am a mature lady and the temperature was 46 degrees outside, but I was told that there were no technicians who could help me. And if there were any, they do NOT service any other brands than Toyota. I found the receptionist to be very rude and unsympathetic of my situation. I would have appreciated being able to get any advice or even a drink of water while I arranged other options. I understand that you need guidelines in your business that is specific to your brand, but when stranded and in need of help, some flexibility or kindness would have been appreciated!
Alisdair is fantastic. Dropped in on a busy Saturday afternoon expecting to have to make an appointment to come back later, but boom, In and out in under 2 hours arranging my new Rav4 hybrid. Thanks very much to Alisdair and Cam for great customer service. Really appreciate it.
My wife and I purchased a new Rav4 from Mike Hanemaayer at Sun Country. He was incredibly friendly and helpful - we felt no pressure at all unlike a number of other places we'd been, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and informed about everything. We would highly recommend Sun Country if you're looking for a new vehicle.

Over all an uncomfortable and unenjoyable experience... the sales lady put alot of pressure on us to buy their vehicle right then and there stating "I highly recommend you don't go anywhere else to test drive vehicles because the chances of you getting approved for financing will be extremely difficult and no body will take you"... well I went to another dealership and I got financing no problem with a way lower interest rate. Beware of scare tactics when you go to this dealership.
This was a 2nd time buying a vehicle from Sun Country Toyota and we wanted to deal with the same salesperson. Jo-Anne is very knowledgeable & helpful as this was our first time buying a hybrid vehicle. It took a bit longer than we had anticipated but Jo-Anne is extremely thorough. We enjoyed the experience.

I am always impressed with Ryan and the team at Sun Country's Toyota Service Departments. They are very professionalism and when they say something needs to be replaced I have no doubt as they are 100% honest.
The staff take time to know your name when you come in and most importantly they "Do" what they "Say" they are going to do; which a ton of businesses struggle with. I feel very welcome when I go there.
I do find their prices a bit higher than other shops but they are a dealership thus they sell "Toyota" name brand parts.
I have two vehicles bought from Sun Country Toyota and just recently have had a family member buy a vehicle from them based off of my recommendation.

Purchased a 2020 Sienna from the staff at Sun Country Toyota this year and couldn't be more impressed with the service we have received! Sales staff were easy to work with and found us exactly what we were looking for, and delivered it quickly after purchase. The service department was very kind and helpful in explaining what services they can provide. We love our new van and will definitely be back for any needed maintenance!
Just got my Toyota Corolla service and was so impressed with the care they are taking with COVID. They have it all covered, even cleaned my car before and after the mechanic had to be in it. I've been taking my car there for 6 years now and am always more then happy with the service.

Recently purchased a 2020 Toyota Tacoma and I absolutely love it! My salesman was Alistair and he is knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. From the initial test drive to pickup date he was very helpful with product knowledge and making sure I was setup for my first drive.
I also found Cam in Finance to be very helpful. When you are making the second biggest financial purchase in your life it is very important to have someone who can answer all of your questions with confidence and make recommendations.

I went in with my 2019 Camry for a simple tire repair. Was told the tire was un-repairable because there were two punctures right next to each other. Toyota would cover the cost of the punctured tire but I was told the other side would also need to be replaced at my expense; $300 plus mounting and balancing.
Took the car to another tire shop and got the punctured tire fixed for $32. The tire had only one puncture and I've been driving on it for two weeks with no issues.
This is proof that even if you go to the dealer for service, doesn't mean you'll get good service.
The staff at this dealership are friendly, knowledgeable, professional and worked well with me to provide an excellent car buying experience. Body shop, parts dept, trade-ins, new and used cars all available on site. Highly recommended.
I spent about 10 minutes at the parts dept asking for a serpentine belt for a 2005 matrix. The two that were helping me had no idea which belt on my car. I know the one guy has been at this Toyota dealership for about 30 years, with no help, I went to lordco I was helped without issue. With very quick service . I will never deal with this Toyota dealership again.i will go to the coast before I shop there again. The dealership in maple ridge is excellent.

My check engine light was on. Sun Country Toyota charged $113.26 for the diagnostic and told me, 'both catalytic converters are gone and it will cost $3522.60 to repair them'. No explanation, just $3522.60.
I took the vehicle to a reputable repair shop in town, and was given a detailed explanation of the problem, and that it was only the left catalytic converter that was bad, not both of them. Total repair bill including the diagnostic is $1250.
Needless to say I won't be going back to Sun Country Toyota any time soon.
I was in a pickle...starter went on my old 4 runner around 12:30pm on a Saturday and there aren't many shops open on the weekend. They squeezed it in, trusted that I knew what the problem was, and my old girl is running like a top again! I even made it to a party that night! Thanks so much Sun Country Toyota!
Update to my review. On my third vehicle purchased here a 2018 Rav4 hybrid. It's a amazing vehicle but it's had some issues. Alistair in sales is awesome to deal with but that's where it ends. The Service department has gone down hill. Customer service is about being nice to the customer and listening to the problem and issues, not answering the phone rude and arguing with the customer. The whole reason I bought my first Toyota, a tacoma, here was negative experiences at another dealership and Sun Country Toyota had a great service department. That has changed. It's too bad a service department has to ruin the name of a brand that is a better build and quality.

These folks are top notch! Recently had some car trouble on a road trip from Edmonton, they were fully booked but the manager brought the mechanic out to have a quick peek and let us know we were safe to continue on to our destination. They were so nice about it. If I lived in Kamloops I would buy a car here.

Purchased 3 new trucks from them in 24 months, the trucks are OK; the service is the worst in town. I drive to Salmon Arm if I need anything from a dealer. Toyota Kamloops does not value your repeat business or your time.
Recently purchased a new CHR from Jeeven Bains. I had some car trouble with my current Jetta that caused me to push my purchase date up by five days and Jeeven came through with flying colours. Car was ready all paperwork was done in a super timely manner and got me to my meeting out of town in time. Thanks Jeeven. While I like Toyota vehicles in general, I doubt I would buy a car from this dealership. If you drive up in an older vehicle you may have trouble finding someone willing to help you. Also, be prepared to be called 'difficult' if you want to look at base models rather than the ones with all the extras. Trying to get someone to show us payment and financing options was a headache. They just want to do test drives. Was told I could go home and figure it out myself on the website. Honda is looking pretty good right now.
I have to say after having my Toyota Matrix rode off. This is an absolute honest caring company. They helped me in so many ways, I was speech less. When I decided to buy a new car, Alistair the salesman was absolutely wonderful, the finance manager Cam I believe he was amazing. The best part about this company especially the Kamloops dealership was they treated you like you mattered not a $ sign. They take you around introduce you to every division. Amazing and thank you for everything you do.

I just bought a new Tundra from Sun Country. Best vehicle buying experience I've ever had. Cam and Connor were excellent to deal with. They made certain I knew all the choices and options but there was no pressure...just good information. The transaction was efficient and easy and I was on the road quickly. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. The truck itself has been everything they said it would be.
My wife and I stopped in to look at used Rav 4's and it was a pleasant surprise to not be rushed by an onslaught of sales people. We had a chance to look and see what was available and then one very nice sales lady named JoAnne asked if we needed any assistance. She was more than helpfull telling us information on the different units on the lot, and asking us what we were looking for and what was important to us regarding a vehicle. Needless to say, we ended up purchasing a used Rav 4 which more than met our requirements, and at a price we feel was both fare and equitable for all parties concerned. At no time did we feel rushed or overwhelmed and the entire process was painless and pleasant to experience. During the process we met every one of consequence at the dealership to ensure we knew who to speak to in the future for whatever service we require or any questions that may arise. All in all, this was one of the best vehicle purchasing experiences we have ever had, and we look forward to future dealings with the dealership without reservation. Thank you to all the people who assisted us in this transaction especially JoAnne, Cam, and Ken. This dealership knows what Good Service is and they deliver it in Spades.
I walked in wanting to buy an FRS and they let me test drive two of them right away. They went through a lot of hoops for me as my co-signer was out of the country. They shipped the papers out and covered all of the costs of doing so. The salesman who sold it to me was a really cool laid back guy and never really gave me any vibes of trying to oversell me on a car - I even asked him for his opinions and he seemed pretty honest. I never got the feeling they were lying to me or trying to pressure me into something - they even gave me 1,000$ off because of some grad promotion.
It's rare that you find something like this from a dealer. Usually you just get some guy who walks up and tries to sell you on something or gyp you. The guy who sold me my car was likable and felt human. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody who wants to buy a scion/toyota. They even touched up with me after buying to make sure everything was good.
Honestly probably the best dealer in kamloops from my experience. If you want a vehicle this is the place to go. They never gave me my 100$ for referring another person there based on some "technicality" with the paperwork which was kind of lame - but outside of that they have been amazing.
Great people - again go here if you want a Toyota/Scion there is no better place. Also to alistair you are forever a bro man (God tier salesman)

Every time I have taken a vehicle in for service or dealt with the parts staff, they have been very helpful and in my experience ( in contrast with some other reviews) have never tried to upsell me. Excellent body shop as well. Highly Recommended in my books.
