Saint John Nissan: Take your fully functioning Rogue in for a simple wiring harness recall check and accept a “complimentary” 27 point inspection, leave their lot and your engine stalls repeatedly on Rothesay Avenue… expect you to pay $1000+ for a “faulty” mass air flow sensor and the tow truck bill…the engine air sensor is located right next to engine air filter they had apart.

I don’t think so… we weren’t born yesterday.

We have never refused to pay a bill before, anywhere. This is the first time. It's not that we can't pay (registered nurse and mechanical engineer). The issue is a total lack of accountability by Saint John Nissan. They made an error and refused to own up to it.
In addition, their error endangered my wife's life. The vehicle stalled as soon as she pulled onto Rothesay Avenue, and stalled two additional times before she managed to pull into the former Park Plaza motel (only several hundred meters down the road). She could could have been t-boned or rear-ended.

We do not trust this dealership.

Your finance dept needs to learn that self employed YES really do work ...insulted once but twice and almost left...we called Chloe with our concerns as at that time the deal was going to be cancelled...she immediately said we would NOT deal with that person again and we thought we'd go in and see how things would be handled...Certainly with more respect and he had personality plus...because of him..yes we did get another new Rogue

Paid a deposit, organized financing, and paid for insurance on a car that was slated to be delivered in early November. I was told that delivery dates were actually coming slightly sooner in many cases, so I was careful to ensure my financing was in place ahead of time.

Then came multiple delays on Nissan's end, pushing it over a month from the original date. While I do understand, and believe them that the delays were out of their hands, this still left me carrying a loan that I took out based on information they gave me.

And delays are one thing, but to send emails saying "you can cancel or wait patiently like everyone else" is really not a strong way to inform a paying customer of their situation. It left me feeling like they simply didn't want my business because I wasn't financing through them.

So I canceled the deal.

I purchased a new Nissan Sentra last year. It is under complete warranty. I had a previous Nissan Sentra that expereinced the same problem I came into this dealership with. It had a clunking noise when taking foot on/off break. I brought it into dealership and wanted the service tech just to take for a test drive and he would notice issue. Instead they took vehicle inside for diag. test and wanted to charge me for having the vehicle looked at. Problem has gotten worse however another Nissan dealership in NB will look after the issue and fix it under warranty. Case and point It was simply a money grab, I will never ever step foot into Nissan Saint John or any of their other dealerships they own like Honda ect here in Saint John. Then I got a lecture how there is nothing wrong with the vehicle as such I have to pay, just for a test drive where in fact there is an issue with certainty. I understand its diffcult to please every customer, this was a valid issue on warranty, I only had 8000 kms on the car for gosh sakes. I contacted the Nissan Dealership in Both Fredericton and Moncton and was aasured there were never be a charge to check out a warranty issue or any issue

The people at Saint John Nissan literally made the difference between scrapping weeks of our once-in-a-lifetime vacation plans versus being able to continue and complete our amazing journey to and through eastern Canada. They helped us through a very difficult and unfortunate situation.

If we lived in the Saint John area, we would be devoted regular customers of this place for all things vehicle-related. The folks here--the GM who made so many good things happen for us and the staff who went far out of their way to help--are fine people, and we will be forever grateful that fate put them in our path.

Charged my gf over 1300$ when we brought her Versa in.

At first they claimed they tried "an aftermaket" alternator but charged her the new price. Then when it didn't work, they put a new one in. They also replaced the battery. Then they claimed the cluster was damaged by the bad alternator and a new one would be required to make all the lights go out (check engine, exclamation mark, etc).

She brought it to her honest backyard mechanic when she went back to her place (out of town) and he charged her 200$ to fix the actual problem. All the lights on her cluster are gone without needing to swap it. The dealership tried to charge her another 800$ to replace the cluster. Brilliant.

Either they were trying to rob her, or they were incompetent. Neither option is acceptable. We both agreed neither of us would purchase a Nissan ever again after this ordeal. It needlessly cost her 1300$ and caused her a lot of stress.

Do not bring your vehicle here. On September 8th I brought my Nissan in for a key fob. They destroyed the electrical in my console. September 17th they tried to fix the electrical but said they couldn’t and would need to contact Nissan tech. Months and five unreturned phone calls later - they told me on December 8th that it couldn’t be fixed and Nissan recommended I buy a new ‘radio’ for $2000.
TL:DR brought in vehicle in better condition than it left. Service department damaged my vehicle and took no responsibility. I have never had such a horrible experience with a dealership.

Imagine my surprise when me and my friend Mary Sue strolled into this brilliant establishment. Nissan? Mary sue asked me, more like NisCAN she remarked. I chuckled knowing someone who sits at the front of the bus like her would think that is hilarious. Looking for our new pimping ride we gleamed over the cars in the lot. I was looking for something sleek and cool, Mary sue clearly did not know her sentra from her micra. I scoffed, a micra would be perfect for her. We peaked through the glass into the salesroom, wow! Car salesmen or MALE MODELS? We giggled. We were too shy to approach any of the gleaming stallions that were the salesmen. Maybe next time, as we walked back to the bus we checked out a Nissan Altima, my reflection looked amazing and so did the car.

Service department doesn’t know what is or isn’t covered under warranty even when you tell them and show them. Revolving sales staff not familiar with important information needed when someone is buying a vehicle and will just guess when answering a question to be clarified as wrong afterwards. Service advisors don’t seem to know what has been done to your car and will usually just say yes even though you question them knowing that the work was not actually done.

After passing an inspection on my 2016 Versa Note, 2 months later after a service appointment for a very very intermittent noise when braking, to be told I needed new brake shoes. after a private mechanic inspecting them i was told there was nothing wrong, a further inspection by Nissan confirmed this. I was refunded the cost of the service appointment. but no refund for the waiting time, cost of travel, cost of a private inspection. no appology from Nissan Canada. Lost Faith in their Service Dept.
