I bought a new car from Connor at Donnelly Mitsubishi. I am from Newfoundland and was moving to Ottawa and wanted to have a deal done before moving so I could pick my car up the day I got there. Connor and the staff at Donnelly Mitsubishi were very welcoming and supportive of this idea. It was a new experience for all of us but Connor and the staff handled it extremely well. We did the entire deal via text and Connor was awesome at responding promptly. When I arrived in Ottawa, my car was on the lot waiting for me and all we had to do was sign the paperwork. The professionalism, willingness to help, and superior customer service shown by Connor and the staff at Donnelly Mitsubishi were a big selling point for me. I would strongly recommend Donnelly Mitsubishi to anyone looking to buy a car. I had a far greater experience dealing with them than I did trying to get any help from Bank Street Mitsubishi.

I had the absolute worst service I've ever had at a dealership at Donnelly Mitsubishi...

I booked an appointment to get my windshield wipers fixed and look into an engine light coming on/ light advising electrical service is required.

The service rep Blake was nice at first however my experience/ service turned into a joke.

I brought my car in at 8am and called around 2pm for an update, which someone advised that Blake went home for the day and the technicians were just starting to look into the issue which was fine. I also had to re-explain what my car was in for to the new person.

However, I got a call back around 4:15 pm from someone completely different and they mentioned they needed another half hour to do the diagnosis (when I already signed off for an hour) and mentioned the tech will be done for the day and asked if I could leave it overnight.. all good.

Where this took a sour turn was the next day...

When I returned to pickup my car and complained how I was frustrated with the service and unresponsiveness, Blake explained he was out sick and quote 'hugging porceline' so that's why I didn't get the best service? Needless to say, this was unprofessional not to mention we are in a GLOBAL pandemic; so illness should be taken a bit more seriously and professionally.

At the end of the day my check engine light was still on, the wipers turned into a bigger issue and felt dismissed.

I called Blake after I left the lot to mention the service light was still on and also tried to reach the service manager. Once again, I did not receive a call back from either.

I'm not one to usually write a review like this but I will not be doing business here again. Try bank street Mitsubishi instead...

Vehicle had a recall, also wanted a safety to sell it. Booked an appointment for Monday at 130pm.

Was asked to sign a blank form for "dents and scratches" but nothing was labelled or marked.

Was called at 430pm (3hrs after booked time) and was told about stuff for safety however nothing else could be done that day as tech goes home at 430pm (service center "closes" at 6pm?)

Was told "funny story" we need service managers approval to do your recall, so it has to be done Tuesday and that they had all the parts.

Tuesday
Had to call for an update at 1pm as it's been 24 hours and no word. Asked for a blinker blub to be changed and for the recall to be done. Was told manager is in and tried contacting Mitsubishi but no word from then about approvals.

Annoyed - Tuesday night unavailable to get my car

Wednesday
I go pick it up at noon and recall still is not done after 2 full business days.

The service advisor told me his hands are tied until Mitsubishi Canada approves the recall. Not really the clients issue. Not how customer service works and this dealership isn't worth the time. Moral of the story don't buy a Mitsubishi?

Well organized during pandemic - they were on time, took good care of safety, did a walk around before service , briefed in what was being done and estimsrmted cost. They even came outside to let us know our vehicle needed 5 more minutes - so they could disinfect all surfaces before we drove away. All in all, very good service.

I dropped my car to have my winter tires changed to summer ones and wipers changed at appointment time. Was grateful for the no contact drop off and pick up. I was called when the car was ready. The bill included an oil change and a tire storage fee both of which I never asked for. The bill was rectified but the oil change went against my prepaid plan. Then I couldn’t get out of the parking lot, this really annoyed me. There were 2 other customers who were blocked in. The lot could have been left open til customers left. I do realize people want to go home at the end of the shift. But come on ...

Connor, Ben, Rejean and the rest of the team were very honest and transparent when it came time to purchasing a car. My wife and I had a rough time with another dealer and I sought the same vehicle and kanata mitsubishi. Upon inquiring about whether or not it would be worth it to pursue another car at a second dealership, I not only got my desired car but a better deal as well.

I highly recommend these guys and their team.

I was mistakenly given an appointment next door at the kia dealer. When I got there, they said they couldn't do the work I was booked in for, and sent me over to Mitsubishi. Even though I wasn't booked with them, and they were booked solid, they squeezed me in. Which I was really thankful for because I had driven over an hour to get there. Wasn't impressed. I got a Hyundai Genesis from the Kia dealership and was given a Mitsubishi warranty. All of this has been difficult and complicated wasn't informed of any of these complications at point of sale.

Send the car in for service and they didn't properly be attach components before saying it was good to pick up. I should have personally inspected the engine before driving away but I think it's kind of an indicator if you feel that way about a dealership.

I wouldn't convince you not to buy a car here. I probably wouldn't advise it though

I had my car in to be looked at due to a/c issues.

When i called to book an appointment there was a weeks wait to get my vehicle in to be serviced. They also notified me while I was on the phone that my car had 2 outstanding recalls, of which I had never been notified of.

We ended up making an appointment for the recalls and to have my a/c problem looked at. Day of the appointment I got a call from the dealership notifying me that there were at least 6 or 7 “recommendations” to be taken care of. I agreed to two of them and asked about my original issue and if it had been fixed. I was told there was just a plastic bag stuck in the intake.

At the end of the day I paid 35 $ in parts and around 140$ in labour. I was charged an enormous amount in labour to remove a plastic bag from my intake. And they weren’t even able to finish one of the recalls because they didn’t have the part. I’m very frustrated with my experience and haven’t had pleasant experiences there in the past. That being said each person I spoke to was very friendly,no fault to them , but the dealership itself.

"Run-arounds and "We are not responsible.""
I brought my 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander in for a subframe Recall on May 21st, I didn't get it back until June 10, 2019. Please see timeline below:
- Bring car in on May 21st expecting car to be ready by May 22nd.
- Wed., May 22nd - Text Peter B. to organize my day, he texts me back that my subframe is corroded and my car is a risk to drive, I can drive my car but have to sign a waiver. I leave my car there as I don't want to risk injury to myself, my kids or others. They have to order the part which takes 3 business days and they only do these recalls on M,T,W.
- May 21-May 29th (9 days), I have 2 children and no car. I take the bus, Uber or walk.
-Thurs., May 30th I get a loaner car, I'm grateful.
-Part arrives, car is to finally get done on June 3rd.
- Mon., June 3rd Peter B. calls, leaves message, "His Techncian didn't show for work, he is sick." Hopes to be able to get car done (7hrs/work) somehow by Friday. Interesting, because how could that be, the car has to be sprayed with anti-rust toxic chemicals in a contained area, only on M.T, W....
-Wed. June 5th, Peter calls with update, hopes car ready by Thurs.
-Thurs. June 6th,11:12a.m. Peter. B. calls, your coolant line is corroded. They can give me a deal on the labour, what could be $500.00, they can do for $239.86. I give him the go ahead.
-June 6th 4:33p.m. Peter B. calls, car is almost ready they need to replace the ECU computer, (recall) but is absolutely certain your car will be ready by noon tommorrow.
-Fri., June 7th, noon, I arrive at Donnelly's with the loaner car, ready to pick mine up. Peter B., tells me, it's not ready, they still need to do an alignment. One of their KIA tech. to do it because his Mitsubishi tech, was on holidays. He hopes it'll be ready by 2:30p.m.. I ask him to call me to ensure it's ready, so I don't arrive here again and it isn't ready. No one calls.
-Mon. June 10th, 6:58a.m., Peter B. calls, leaves a message, one of his guys was supposed to call and tell me my car was ready on Friday. The loaner car is promised at 7:30a.m. to someone else, he needs it.
7:30a.m. I arrive at Donnelly's with loaner car, only because I don't want this other person who needs a car, to go through all the b.s. I just went through. When I arrive Peter B., is boosting my battery to get it to start because of inertia!!! I leave with my car.
- As I drive, I notice my exhaust doesn't sound right, weird because I had my car into Meineke for exhaust work two days before bringing it to Donnelly"s for the recall. I had my muffler replaced and the exhaust fixed. I don't have time in the next 2 days to get it checked, I just got it back.
-Wed.June 11th, I bring it to Meineke to have them look at it, since I trust them. They tell me that it is another leak in a pipe that has to be replaced, they can't weld it, the pipe will cost $600.00. I find out in order to replace the subframe, Donnelly's would've had to remove this section. IT'S NOT A COINCIDENCE THAT THIS PIPE IS NOW DAMAGED AFTER BEING AT DONNELLY'S.
-Thurs., June 13th, I drop by Donnellys, to tell them about this. They say all kinds of things. The car is 10 years old, has 200,000 km on it, it's due to age.( My car only has 119, 000.00 km on it!) It could be the flex pipe.
They book me in for June 18th to check it.
-Tues. June 18th 1:00p.m. I arrive at Donnellys to have them look at it. Alan and Technician Manny look at it. Manny thinks it's the gasket that needs to be replaced, this is apart of the subframe recall. The techncian that did my car must've missed it. Car is booked for service on June 25th. Note: Peter B. wasn't there.
- June 25th I drop my car off, come back at 3:00p.m. thinking it's all taken care of, only to find out it's the pipe as Meineke said, and Peter B., says they're not responsible for it. But has the audacity to give me a quote of over $800.00 for the work to be done. I SMELL A WEASEL!
Mitsubishi Can. and the GM, Jim Low won't do anything about it!

OMG Really?!

I bought a brand new Mirage less than a week ago. Within 2 days, the brakes were squealing, the electrical system stopped working, and the coolant signal on the dash lit up. I brought it in this morning and the sales manager had the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Made me wait half an hour before even talking to me. Even though I had made an appointment for the car, it sat waiting for another half an hour as well. Their only redeeming factor is Peter the head service guy. He's figuring out what can be done. The sales manager couldn't uncross his arms long enough to figure out how he could make things right with my BRAND NEW LEMON

I went here to purchase my first car. After travelling from dealer to dealer and looking at many cars, my hopes weren't very high. However, Donnelly was the most pleasant dealer I have ever dealt with. Each salesman and manager I spoke to was very patient and understanding. Unlike most car dealers, they gave me time to decide, and weren't rushing to close the deal, which gave me a very good feeling about the dealer.

I ended up buying a Mitsubishi Lancer and am very pleased with the service I got. They had my best interest in mind at all times. I will definitely be going back to Donnelly for my future cars!!
