Mazda Pacific followed up promptly after I got my Unhaggle report. Over the course of a few interactions with Jamie at Mazda Pacific we worked out a deal including a trade-in as part of the transaction. I had clear transparency of my buy and sell costs, not just my cost to change vehicle.
What made the experience even better was that my trade in was involved in a rear ender after we'd agreed our deal but before handover. Mazda Pacific could have made the deal difficult, but they were awesome. Dealers often get harsh press but Mazda Pacific were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks to their understanding in exceptional circumstances we were able to complete the deal as agreed. I'm very happy to recommend both Unhaggle and Mazda Pacific.
My best advice, take your time, gather your information, go step by step. Stay in control of the process. Be clear about what you want, but also be realistic about the transaction. Look for a fair deal that works for both parties.

A few weeks ago I was in for an oil change and a check, because my car was not driving right. I spoke with the service advisor, Laura. Laura was absolutely fantastic, through text messages she kept me updated on the progress, I texted her back and she called to discuss the issue. I needed a new transmission computer. It was ordered right away and installed very promptly. They were very accommodating with the time I could drop off and pick up my vehicle. I could not be happier with the service I got. I always had great service at this Mazda location, but this last visit, although the most expensive due to the issue, was the most pleasant and convenient. Thank you.

Worst service repair experience. Our car had 02 sensor light on and went to their repair shop. When they gave us a quotation( paid 99$ for diagnostic) it’s 300plus for the part; then when they are going to fix it they would like to charge us 700 plus. when we refused, the cashier lady forced us that we have to pay the labor charges without any fixed happened in the car. It was so stressful and insulted us that we better sell our car.

I bought a Mazda 3 from Pacific Mazda at the beginning of September.

When I was test driving the car, the salesman brought up the fact that a person who previously had test driven the car noticed it was pulling to the right during that test drive.

I noticed the same thing during my test drive and so when I was negotiating the purchase of the car, the salesman showed me the car inspection that Pacific Mazda service shop had put the car through and then offered to put it thought a second inspection to ensure the car had no mechanical issues.

After keeping the car for 5 days to conduct the 2nd inspection, I got the car back and the salesman told me the 2nd inspection didn't show any mechanical issues with the vehicle.
I asked for a copy of the original car inspection and the 2nd inspection, but to this day, I never received a copy of either inspection.

To my mistake, I took the salesman's word that the car showed no mechanical issues and carried on with life.

After driving the car for a few weeks I noticed the car was pulling to the right more and more and also making a shuttering noise. After saving up some money for a few weeks, I took the car a mechanic to have it inspected.

After receiving a $700 bill to have the car inspected, the right wheel hub replaced and a tire alignment, I'm sharing this valuable lesson I've learned from this situation to get everything in writing and not just trust the word of the salesman.

Bought a CX-5 from Pacific Mazda 2-3 years ago. Now I am looking for a CX-9. They advertised on their website that they have a CX-9 Signature for a certain price but when you call and speak to them they will tell you it's actually the lower trim GS-L. They blamed Mazda headquarters for the errors in advertising. This has happened on at least two occasions. Be careful what you see on their website it might not be correct. Disappointed.

I am a young woman looking for my first SUV and was very interested in the Mazda CX-5. I got into contact with a sales rep named Frank and due to my lack of responding because of my busy schedule at the hospital, he found time to send me a rude, passive aggressive text about “ignoring” him. During our previous conversation on the phone I mentioned I may have found a good deal on a Hyundai Tucson and he then insulted me in the text message saying it was an inferior car and sarcastically told me to “enjoy” the Hyundai. I have just bought a car from them 3 weeks ago. While I am happy with the general performance of the car, I'm not happy with the how many issues I have had to deal with as a result of the carelessness of the sales/service people. They forgot to make me a second key...so I had to return again for that. Then I discovered that the car they gave me had sat on the lot for so long the rotors had rusted over and were causing me braking issues. They shaved the rotors down but I'm not happy that I have to drive on thinner rotors and that NOBODY bothered to check if a brand new car was in proper condition. Then I got a low tire pressure warning and checked all 4 tires. All 4 were 10 psi below where they should have been, so again I had to waste my time filling them. Again, nobody bothered to check before it was given to me. Once you sign the paperwork, it seems they don't care any longer. I'd buy another Mazda, just not from these guys.

Very bad customer service. Many hours of waiting time for a simple maintenance work. Service Department will not bother to notify you about delays. Over-booking is prevalent at the expense of customers waiting somewhere outside premises due to COVID-19 where in fact you're at risk of being infected by someone. I could have gone home. Not sure if car interior (steering wheel, etc.) is disinfected after maintenance.

I have noticed a repetitive concern which impacts mazda owners in Victoria. Pacific Mazda low balls trade in values both in their store and when other dealers consult Pacific Mazda on a value of a Mazda product being traded in at other dealers. Recently I attempted to trade in my Mazda and 2 different dealers in Victoria to find out that the trade value was $7500 different at the 2 dealers. It was explained to me by the manager of the lower trade value that pacific Mazda had determined this low value.  This is outrageous, greedy and potential unethical. It has happened 3 times where Pacific Mazda has low balled a trade value in order to gain a high quality Mazda product to sell at their dealership. Stay clear of Pacific Mazda. I will not purchase another Mazda product from Pacific Mazda or its Carson Affiliates and send this to Mazda headquarters in Canada.

Just finishing purchasing a 2015 Mazda CX-5 GT with my daughter. The vehicle was immaculate and had a perfect 3rd party inspection.
Al Hache did an amazing job! He was professional, personable and truly knew the product. When my daughter took possession of the car, Al went over the whole vehicle and showed her all the features. Called 5 days ago for a quote on fixing my interior door handle. Drivers side door won't open from the inside. Still no call back and no quote. Less than stellar customer service. The lady at service sounded put off because I told her there was no need to charge me for diagnosis......I removed the handle panel and can see the cable snapped at the handle. I have 2 Mazdas that are getting up there and will be looking for a new one soon. Guess where I wont be going.

I request for a 48 k interval maintenance, but found the coolant significantly below the low line . I paid for fluid top up .. but was not received , I called and the desk clerk give me the run around saying the overflow tank is normally below low line , such BS. Lost my trust permanently, how can I bring it back in the future when trust is lost?.. now I am wondering if other maintenance procedure is done properly 😬

Had a fantastic experience at Pacific Mazda. My fiance and I were having a quick look in the lot, scanning for some of the vehicles I saw online. A salesman came out and introduced himself as Todd.

Todd was amazing! He was very casual, and friendly, and we did not feel the cliche sales pressure at all. Todd asked us if we wanted to take one of the vehicles out for a test drive. Again, we did not feel pressure. We felt Todd's excitement of just wanting to show and tell us what the vehicle is about.

We left the lot feeling really confident. Todd responded to my email that night after hours. We went in the next day to purchase the vehicle. Again Todd was very honest and kind without being pushy. Todd listened to any concerns and answered all questions with respect.

I recommend Pacific Mazda, and highly recommend speaking with Todd.

Pacific Mazda has restored my faith in car dealerships. I had been perusing some lots and online (auto trader) for a used truck. I happened to drive by Pacific Mazda one day back in October and saw a truck that could suit my needs. I stopped in and had a look and met by a friendly sales person (Glen). He listened well to my needs and was very relaxed about hearing me out. Took the truck for a test drive and it was nice to just go for a drive and just talk about both the vehicle and make personal connections. At no time was the typical pressure sales talk initiated. Finished the test drive and went inside to talk about pricing. I felt that I was treated with respect and fairness and we were able to work out a price that suited both sides which gave time to think it over. Ended up going through with the deal and the process was smooth and felt well taken care of by Glen, Angie (one of the managers), and Ben (finance dept). They all took the time to explain all aspects of the process and we never felt rushed. There is something to be said about smaller family owned businesses compared to the larger conglomerate owned dealerships. Thank you Glen, Angie and Ben for your time, professionalism and friendliness during the whole process. I am loving my new truck!

After a lot of looking around to find a replacement family car we settled on a CX-5. Jamie worked with us to put a good deal together. We got a nice price on a new vehicle and an acceptable value on a trade in. In the end, the cost to change is what counts to the purchaser. In addition to the sale price of a new car, the dealer is also going to make some margin from the trade in. That's okay, that's the price of being able to sell your trade in with minimum hassle
All good so far, but then disaster struck. After agreeing the deal but before handover someone ran into the back of our trade in, pretty much writing it off. Jamie at Mazda was super and Pacific Mazda were willing to honor the deal with cash replacing the trade in value. Realistically this is the dealer losing the opportunity to make some margin on the trade in. Car dealers don't always get good press but I can't speak highly enough of the way we were treated in difficult circumstances. They could easily have balked on the deal, I had a good price on the new vehicle, but they didn't back out.
Pacific Mazda is a family business, pretty unusual for a main dealer these days but it makes a difference. We now have our new CX-5, and Pacific Mazda have some very happy customers.
We'll be back to spend some money on servicing and maintenance. It works out for both parties in the end.

I have never written a review of any sort before but our experience at Pacific Mazda was quite surprising so I wanted to share. We have visited with this one particular sales person twice in the last month, he was great, and we were getting close to purchasing a 2016 CX-5 but we wanted to think about the offer as we had a different offer from a dealership on the mainland which was better. The sales person respected that we wanted some time to think about it but asked if we would come meet the manager before leaving, so we agreed. The manager brought down the price a little more, however, it was still not enough to convince us to buy. When we tried to wrap up the conversation to leave, the manager said "after all the test driving and meeting with you guys, if you guys go and buy a car from a different dealership, do you know how much the sales person is going to make??... $0!" We were quite surprised that he would make such a comment and his condescending way of communicating. Making customers feel guilty for not making a purchase on the spot is not a way to start a relationship. When making a purchase this size, we expect to have a good experience and some respect and we certainty did not. We will happily take our business to another dealership with better customer service.

As promised, I visited the showroom's sales office today after work at 6 pm but the place was already locked. I was shocked and double checked the timings posted on the door and it clearly indicated open "Mon-Thurs 9.00am to 7.00pm" and it was a Wednesday yesterday??? So yet again I wasted my time driving to Pacific Mazda. I think the owner should really take a hard look at this showroom and try to buckle up, as customers like myself will be driven away by the sheer lack of customer service and misinformation. If you were waiting for new signboards/stickers or had to close earlier for an company outing etc., then please be professional and put up a temporary sign on your doors.So was it just another "perfect storm"? The first time I made an appointment and could not test drive and the second time I wanted to walk-in for service but was locked out. So it looks like Pacific Mazda is making it easy for me to make my car buying choice this time.

Update on Nov 14
I walked into the showroom today and was greeted by Brian who immediately got Mike from Sales to assist. I finally managed to test drive the Mazda CX3 and the Mazda 3. Overall I see changes in the showroom had had a pleasant day, thanks to Mike & Brian. To be fair to the owners, I am including this update and changing my 1 star to a 5 star rating - keep up the good job!
