Recently moved to the Truro area. It's impossible to get a service appointment. I've tried the online appointment scheduler multiple times and I've called the service department on three separate occasions and left messages with no return calls. Never had this problem at any other dealer.

I have a had a booking with sales agen name Jen, we booked a sportage with them but after 3 days they told me that they sold the to somebody else... They did the same thing with me for kia forte. Jen is most irresponsible sales agent i have ever met. She says she will inform you and she never does. She sells your booked car to somebody else and bever inform you that she did this. I just dealt with the most unprofessional customer service rep ever. It sounds like he didn’t want to do his job. I bought 4 year coverage for my tire and rim and they’re trying their best to not honour it because apparently they don’t cover ‘normal’ wear and tear yet my tires are bald to the wire after one summer season! -100/10 would recommend. They’ll help you as much as you need but will NOT help you AFTER you purchase a vehicle. Definitely go somewhere else for your next car purchase.

The dealership I went to get my summers put on would not switch my tires over unless I got a new set for for my safety.

If I could give them a 0 I would for professionalism. The sales manager is rude!!!!! You tell him you are having a problem with your brand new vehicle and he doesn't care at all. They are all about getting the money not about fixing the problems. The lady who sold me my vehicle was super nice but thats about it. I will have to find another kia dealer to do my service at as I will not be back there to be treated like that again. That was way toooo stressful for me!!!!!

Today, the transmission for my 2021 Kia Seltos blew out for a THIRD time. A brand new vehicle should not need a new transmission after 7,000km, 21,990km, and then again at 36,228km. Although another dealership sold me the car, I was told that Stuart Kia would be dealing with any issues I experience with my car from there on out.

Stuart Kia's response to these frequent transmission failures has been with a bandaid approach. Sure, after the first transmission was replaced, everyone (except me) thought that the problem was resolved. Unfortunately, the transmission failed another two times after that.

I am now being told they won't be providing any loaner vehicle or car rental while my car is being repaired. Stuart Kia isn't tell me how long the car will be in repair for. The first transmission took 2ish weeks to fix and the second transmission took MONTHS. I'm no millionaire (I drive a Kia for christ sake), so to be responsible for my existing car payments, as well as potentially thousands of dollars for a rental, is unacceptable.

As a small business owner, these frequent and consistent breakdowns have had a huge impact on my ability to be reliable for my customers. Does anyone at Kia care? Absolutely not.

At this point, it's safe to say no one will be surprised when more transmission failures occur with my vehicle. I don't know what needs to happen for someone at Kia to acknowledge that this car isn't safe and should be taken off the road.

If you're a fool interested in getting a Kia... don't. You'll only experience nothing but frequent breakdowns in the middle of the highway, be without your vehicle for several months out of the year, and experience some of the worst customer service you'll ever have to deal with.

Find yourself a dealership that will take swift action on a lemon that jeopardizes the lives of their customers. Also, find a dealership that employs more than one person who is capable of providing their clients with respect. Crazy to think those two aren't basic requirements.

We had worked out a deal for several weeks to buy a vehicle. They had a great price and we were excited to buy. We had made arrangements for them to order us a vehicle and we’re excited to pick it up in a few weeks. They then messaged us and told us the exact same vehicle with less kms and an added accessory was available a week sooner. We were excited by this but were very firm on our price so clarified we’d be happy to get it for the same deal otherwise we’d wait for the other one.

We were assured the price was the same so we cancelled our personal plans and an appointment for the following day and were excited to go buy the vehicle. We woke up early and as we were preparing to leave they told us that the vehicle was now 3 dollars more biweekly due to the accessory we never wanted in the first place. We told them they could remove the accessory to keep the price as agreed but they refused. We then said we’d be happy to do the deal for the other similar vehicle in a week but we’re told that vehicle was now traded.

The manager then tried to guilt us into buying it saying he put hours of work into trading vehicles and told us we were being unreasonable not accepting the last minute price change. I told him that isn’t our responsibility. We moved appointments, cancelled plans, paid a deposit, quoted insurance changes etc only for them to change the deal at the last second. I reminded him we would’ve happily waited for the original vehicle if we weren’t lied to about these changes . He just kept repeating “I’m very busy so if you’re not happy don’t take the deal” hopefully he’s less busy in the future so he can give proper numbers to future clients

You always hear the horror stories about dealing with car dealerships - going into buying our first car we were anticipating a nightmare of upselling and dealer tactics. If you read any online articles, you hear stories of models not being in stock, silent upgrades at exorbitant rates, hidden fees, drivers licenses mysteriously going missing while you talk about interest rates, and my wife and I were prepared for the worst (and had already seen several dealers trying these tactics on us in Nova Scotia). We were pleasantly surprised to see nothing of the sort here. We never felt like we were being taken advantage of or pressured into an upsell. On the contrary, they talked us out of upgrades we were considering (ultrabright headlights) because they would be unnecessary, and they proved absolutely correct.

We had a specific vehicle in mind, and were quoted a competitive price that beat out dealers in Halifax, New Minas, and New Glasgow, and the price we were quoted was exactly what we paid. To quote a conversation I had with Anthony "So this is the out the door price?" "If you came down to the dealership with a cheque in hand for that price, you'd drive off the lot with it." In fact, by the time we were done, I was still wondering if there was going to be some hidden catch or 'gotcha' that we had missed - I couldn't believe it had gone that smoothly.

There is only so much I can say without sounding like a paid endorsement, but we were highly impressed with how the overall buying experience went. They've certainly earned our future business, and I'd strongly suggest you consider them if you're looking for a vehicle.

Phil Jones is the best. I have a long story about my dealings with KIA / KIA Finance and MOST of it TERRIBLE and just I'll never deal with a lease with KIA again. But PHIL JONES is the ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT MY WHOLE EXPERIENCE. I called him a bunch of times when I had already moved to Ontario and he had already made the sale. He didn't have to help me, he could have just hung up. He made an effort to help me EVERY SINGLE TIME. That's customer service. If you want long lasting old school customer service, go to Truro KIA and ask for Phil Jones. I write this 3 years later after having calling him about my lease end in ONTARIO because no one here or at KIA Finance would help me. Guess who actually answered his phone and guess who actually tried to help. Yup... Phil.

He got me set up in a vehicle of my choosing within in a day in Nova Scotia because I was on a job and needed a replacement vehicle FAST. It was a good price too boot. KIA Finance was a bunch of D's after that when transferring the vehicle to Ontario and when returning it, but that's a different story. THANKS PHIL!

I can not give a lower rating than one star! The service manager and the owner are condescending, and make you feel as if YOU are the reason the bags of crap they are selling are breaking. They only have a "limited budget" to repair customer "concerns or issues" and want you to feel bad for THEM that they are not "permitted by KIA" to repair your car. They sell you on all the warranty's and then tell you its " normal wear" when something goes wrong.
I bought this 2012 Forte with 25 kms, NEW with extended warranty and Diamond Kote electrode B\S and walked out of there under the impression that IF there were ANY problems in the first five years and less than 100,000 kms , I was covered. WRONG!!!
After 1-1\2 years and being told the noise I was hearing was "injector knock, there's nothing we can do about that" I contact KIA Canada about it. Stuarts calls me a couple days later and wants to take another look at my car and find out THE ENGINE BLOCK NEEDS REPLACED!!!!
Close to the same time I develop a hole on the side of the driver seat, told, once again, "normal wear, from a foreign object", Like what!?!? a belt loop on my PANTS??? After only a year and a half???
You cant order the plastic grommets that KEEP breaking on the floor mats any longer. I guess they realized they were a bad idea to begin with. Stuarts suggestion???? You could buy a new set for $200 PLUS!!!
Lets talk about their courtesy cars. First of all I WAS offered a car to drive while mine was being "fixed". Had the same car twice, told them the first time there is something wrong, shakes over 100kph and breaks are grinding AND pulls to the left BAD. "Thanks, we'll have that looked at." MONTHS later same car same things wrong. Stuart KIA cant even take care of their OWN cars!!!
After being told its normal wear and made to feel as if the problems were MY fault, I mentioned to the service manager that i would not buy another KIA, THAT is when he was no longer "helpful" nor was there any efforts made to retain me as a customer. I was told by the service manager? "Since you've mentioned numerous times you would never buy another KIA, I'm not going to put out the effort to fix the problem since you've made it clear you won't buy another one."
Owner- "Your car is the only one we're having this problem with" "This is coming out of MY pocket"................
That was the end of it for me.
