Walked in excited to get an appraisal on my trade in and buy another vehicle. No greeting, walked past employees, nothing. Waited over 5 mins then asked for some help, which didn't even come. Normally at dealerships there would be an immediate approach or acknowledgement, maybe an offer of some coffee, or to sit in the lounge to wait, but nothing. Felt like I was being avoided the minute I walked in.

I leased my first car at Richmond Kia about a month ago. Kundan and Eddie helped me with the process and they were both gentleman. It was my first time, so my knowledge was a bit limited going into it. I appreciated their help in finding me my car. The only feedback I will provide, is I felt talked into signing my lease with 16,000 km, when I voiced that 20,000 km would probably be better for me. They ended up convincing me to go with 16,000, but as I’ve driven the car for a month now, 16,000 doesn’t seem enough. Other than that, I had a pleasant experience and I love my new Kia Seltos!

I dropped off my Kia for a regular service on a Monday. A 3 hour maintenance became an overnight one due to other “issues”. Overnight, my car was not stored securely in the garage but out in the parking lot. Passenger window was smashed, and at least $600 of personal items stolen.

They reached out to me Tuesday afternoon and I had to leave work to go take a look at the car. Had to wait for them to ship a new passenger window in. They could not offer me a courtesy car and never attempted to make it convenient for me in any way. Spoke to the Operations Manager (Ryan) and they said they would come up with a plan regarding compensation. Had to reach out myself to get an update on my car on Thursday. Was told shipping was delayed so hopefully in a few days. My car was finally ready for pick up on Saturday. Went to pick it up and they compensated service fee and replaced the window. Was still out several hundred, and was told I would have to speak to the Manager. Went back to the car only to find broken glass still on the floor and in the cup holders, center storage console was stuck open with bits of glass still jammed in it preventing it from closing. Had to go back to have them clean it out while they made excuses that the internal detailing guy wasn’t in.

Upon bringing it home, I found more shards of glass all over, including my child’s car seat and cup holder. I’ve called the Manager Ryan multiple times and been passed around to different associates, none of whom are on the same page, and told me the “compensation plan” was that my service would be compensated. Still haven’t heard back from the Manager since the very first conversation almost 3 weeks ago. Everytime I call, the Manager is either not there or “in a meeting”. I’ve continued to leave messages to call me back. No response. It is evident that this problem isn't a priority to them at all. Poor service, poor customer care is what you will get at Kia Richmond.

Purchase a vehicle from Kia Richmond, from line/out of town. They made arrangements to have me picked up at the e-bus depot and taken to their dealership, where they had everything waiting. Car was spit spot, full of fuel, immaculate, and ready to go with a red bow on top. They had all the paperwork lined up and all in perfect order. I can't thank them enough for making the process streamlined and efficient. Staff were kind, considerate and informative. Answered all my questions and no issues at all. Just bought a brand new kia sportage sx 2022 from them. Liam was great to work with and talk to. Eddie did a great job explaining all the different packages (like warranty and protection) and guided me to one that suited me. The rest of the staff was friendly. The sales manager was really welcoming and friendly (sorry can't remember your name because we only talked twice). Only issues I had was that the hybrid version is not out yet and I had to wait a while for the insurance guy to come and get me set up.

It’s such a pleasure experience of buying a new Kia Seltos for my mother-in-law. My sister-in-law has referred us to Kia Richmond because they have already purchased 3 vehicles from them. We were served by the sales Jack and the manager Danny. After the test drive, it only took less than 20 minutes to sign the deal, because Jack was well explained, and Danny was very straight forward. Even the finance manager, Eddie has a good sense of humor. The entire dealership has provided great atmospheres, almost everyone who has passed by us, greeted my mother-in-law and me. To be honest, I was expecting my car purchase to be an exhausting process. I've been to a few dealership through the years and I know how mentally draining it can be and how it could make you feeling like you've been cheated somehow. But that was not my experience here at Kia Richmond. With Eddie and Kundan helping me I never felt pressured and they even worked with the budget I had in mind. I'm not sure if they do this all the time, but I also really appreciated that the other staff shook my hand and assured me of my purchase and their customer service. I didn't feel like I was just another commission but an actual customer that they want to have back...so I'm definitely coming back here again.

After waiting for 15 mins, one more sales came in and helped a walk in after us. This was the best vehicle buying experience I've ever had in my 38 years. I just happened upon the SUV that I ended up purchasing on a car buying website. I called up the dealership, spoke to Cody and was driving my SUV within 24 hours. I would like to take the opportunity to share my experience again with Richmond Kia. Just like my first visit at this dealership a year ago, I went in for one thing and came out with an upgrade! Last year, I went in for an upgrade from a Volkswagen GTI to 2015 Pilot they had, and walked out with a 2018 Kia Sorento EX, it was an amazing experience from my first call with Cody, to my final signature with Sandra.

This time around, I went in for a service on one of my windows on my Sorento and my first familiar face was Cody. He greet me and asked about my family and how we were all doing. Cody mentioned that during this difficult times, Kia has promotions going on for upgrades and it wouldnt hurt to check them out as it could mean an upgrade to me without loosing anything. Turns out, with the help of Cody, James, Mehdi and Sandra, they were able to offer me a Loyalty offer to upgrade to the 2020 Sorento SX.

I can say that, I have always received the best service when I have taken my car for service, but the sales team is just amazing. They really go out of their way to show that they are for the customer and not just to make money. They are amazing and understanding the needs and finding the best way. They dont play around and say here is one offer, then come back with 2nd, 3rd, etc. They go straight for the best offer. I would say, if you are in look of a new vehicle, its worth checking Richmond Kia out. Give Cody a call and he'll take it from there.

This is probably one of the worst KIA dealers in the lower mainland. Most of their staff (especially on service side) have been let go in the last 1 year. Every few months when I go back, I realize most of the service reps I spoke with aren't there.

The service manager Harry is absolutely garbage. He has a high temper so if you don't agree with him, he will flip and end up saying that you're being aggressive and will hang up on you.

I came in there to fix a noise in my driver side control arm, they ended up replacing sway bar links & struts which never fixed my problem. It was under warranty so their service reps were literally ripping and replacing pieces. Still today, it is not fixed. And now that my warranty is expired, they're saying that they have to charge me. Fact of the matter is that I came in during my warranty period and they never fixed it. Now they want to charge me for their inadequate service reps.

One time that I came in, I realized that a service rep had done about 25 KM on my car (to test out if the problem was fixed). This was likely a joy-ride as I had shown them an area to replicate the problem. The guy decided to take it on a 25 km ride instead. I have this stuff documented and I'm now planning on taking legal action against their dealership.

Another thing I found interesting was when I went on a test ride with Harry as he was looking to try and help me again (just called me and said he wouldn't be able to help me now) - is that he was talking poorly behind the backs of his service technicians. He said the owner asked him to come in and reorganize everything because they were getting some of the lowest ratings in Lower Mainland. Clearly remember him saying poor things about his advisor Gill. He mentioned that Gill is hot-headed and will often not be motivated to look too deep in problems and sometimes isn't good with customers. Unfortunate to see a service manager talk poorly about his advisors behind their backs.

I'll be creating a post to detail and journey the legal avenue (unfortunately this is my last option and I've tried many many times to work with them) so stay tuned!

After VERY negative experiences at Kia North Shore & Kia Vancouver, Kia Richmond was my option. Sales people were not as pushy. Mind you, sales people are supposed to be somewhat pushy, and that aggressiveness is part of the job - I know that as a sales person myself.

At NORTH SHORE Kia, here's what happened: This guy tried to convince me to take a $2000 cheque to pay off old Honda lease and get out early to get into the new Kia. BUT. He had built in the $2000 into the 4 year lease of the new one. Essentially giving me a loan with interest that I would pay off anyway, so essentially trying to get me to pay for 2 cars for 5 months!!! Even when I said I'd rather wait 5 months until I make a decision, they pushed pushed pushed.

In Vancouver (2nd attempt at a Kia), the guy wanted a higher lease price than what was on the website. As if I wouldn't know how to check the internet before I come to a dealership.. deal was off. He was trying to pocket extra commission. I double checked the model & specs, exact same thing. If anything it should be cheaper in Vancouver, as this port city is closer to Korea. If I were in Toronto, I could understand a surcharge for having to travel a few thousand extra kilometres.

3rd try at Richmond... These guys were so much better at RICHMOND... Instead of trying to coerce me into getting an expensive deal on a lease while losing even more money on a previous lease with 5 months left, the Kia guy at RICHMOND, named Reza, told me, "it's financially best for you to come back when your previous lease with Honda is over, you'll get the best value out of it all." That's when I knew these guys were better people than the other ones.

The Richmond Kia dealership was the best of all 3. I came back a few months later, signed a deal with Reza at Richmond, and I'm very happy.

I was shopping for a new car a few weeks ago and decided on a Kia, and chose the Richmond location because of its rating and ease of transit access.

Upon entering I was greeted by Snow, who was polite and knowledgeable. After an introduction and discussion, I decided to take a Kia Rio SX out for a test drive. I was rather impressed by the vehicle as it came with many features, such as a sunroof and reverse parking camera, that cars of comparable price and style did not have. After the test drive we continued our negotiations and came to an agreement that worked for both sides. By that time, the office had closed for the night, but I'm thankful to Snow and his manager for staying past business hours to accommodate me.

While the colour of the vehicle I wanted was not at that location, it was delivered there the following day and ready to be picked up.

I'm currently enjoying my new Rio, and would very much recommend anyone who may be looking for a new car to at least give the Kia Richmond location a try.
