Went to this dealer today and was offered a fair price on a new vehicle by the salesman and met the manager. Shortly after leaving the dealership (with plans to call in the deposit), the manager called me and told me the owner over rode their decision and the price was $1500 more and there were several fees that had not been explained. Although the sales guy clearly felt bad when he called later, it was really unprofessional and we will not be back. Ended up buying a different vehicle and we’re very happy. Recommend avoiding this dealer where the owner clearly doesn’t stand by his staff’s commitments.

This is as unfortunately the second visit for warranty work on our Sedona. We’ve been having a couple issues, and sure enough when we bring the vehicle in the issue cannot be replicated. So then we’re left with taking our van home. Then a short time later, the issues happen.

I bought my 2010 Kia Forte koupe used, however I had a traction control light one thinking it wasn’t a big deal. After a little research I realized it kind of was (a recall, meant I also had no brake lights) so I immediately called Kia they booked me in initially for the following Wednesday for 3-4 recalls but once I realized I had NO brake lights I called back and said can you please please get the one done today I need my car.. WITHOUT hesitation they said YES!
Meanwhile the entire time I got nothing but AMAZING customer service. I will definitely recommend and go back to Eastside Kia!!

Last week, we took over our new car, the 2019 Forte EX Premium, and we couldn't be happier. We got a lot of information and had help from Sales consultant, Sam Racko and Finance manager, Charles Enns. I highly recommend both. In terms of customer service and professionalism, we were treated by the best.

We're first car buyers in Calgary, Canada. In the process of searching for information before buying a car, I noticed that dealerships in Canada are very different from our home country. That means a lot of pressure, hidden costs, and a suddenly changed attitude (in a bad way) after signing a contract, etc.
So, on the day I signed a car purchase contract with Eastside Kia, my husband and I were scared and stressed. And we were going to visit not just Eastside Kia, but also two other Makers of car for test-drive, and getting quotes.
East Side Kia was the first dealership we've ever visited. We read on Reddit that some sales associates ignored their guests, however, when we entered the dealership, our salesperson, Sam, welcomed us warmly. Then Sam was extremely helpful with going through the benefits of buying Kia Forte which was a really good fit for both our needs and budget. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, very patient and totally answered our questions. He melted our feared hearts. So we cancelled our plan to go to another Maker dealership and just settled down at East Side Kia.

Charles, the finance manager, also did outstanding and attentive service throughout, from talking about vehicle purchase options to getting the financial stuff worked out. Even he explained in detail all the different insurance-related options, but never put any pressure on us.

I think the ability and quality of a worker depend on how they cope with an unexpected problem. Not all of our car purchase was smooth. The delivery of our car was delayed than expected; usually, they have cars customer want, but the car we wanted is the second highest trim with a rare colour which was not even in Alberta at that time. Charles contacted us first with the unwelcomed news and offered us a solution; I read so many cases that nobody contact or update information to customers when problems happen, so usually customers have to call salesperson or dealership many times to get the answers. To tell the truth, if there weren't Charles's help, we'd cancel the car contract when the delivery was delayed.

And the thing that moved us the most was that Sam's attitude. The day we signed the contract, he told us that the car might arrive on Saturday, the day he was off, but he would willingly come to the shop and hand over the vehicle to us. Also the actual day we took over our new car with only 14 km run, he told us he checked everything by himself, even washed the car for a perfect condition. I was so glad and grateful to hear about that because I knew that many salespersons are interested in only selling a car and making money, so they make no further effort after a contract; however, Sam seems to care about our satisfaction truly.

Recent recall service was great. When I bought the car I wasn't told there was no cruise control, which I found strange for a 2016 and so did the service guys who took care of my recall, but my fault I guess for assuming and not asking. I also was never give a second key so if mine dies I'm totally out of luck, when I called about it shortly after I bought it I was told it would be 300.00 for a new one.....another frustration. Because of the key and no cruise control I'm looking to sell my car and will likely not buy a Kia again. I feel like I was treated like just another commission not like a person who was looking for a good, long term vehicle.

Have to stay that this dealership actually really cares about their customers and will go the extra mile when addressing your concerns. Had an issue and was very frustrated, however Kirk the service manager, went above and beyond to address this and put my mind at ease. East Side Kia is by far the worst dealership we have ever visited. They will try to rip you off at every turn and make it look like its a legitimate charge. I also know someone that works there and off the record was told they will continue to charge people outrageous admin fees to make an extra buck!

On top of that, they tell customers that if they aren't willing to pay for certain "fees" they are wasting their time and not to come back. I have no clue how a dealership like this can still be in business!!

They are rude and treat customers like sh*t when they get questioned regarding their so called "admin fees".

Don't believe me, get a quote from them with all the fees broken down and then get a quote from another dealership and see for yourself how much they try and rip off the customer!!!

TRUST ME WHEN I SAY, VISIT ANY OTHER KIA DEALERSHIP BUT THIS ONE! THEY ARE AWFUL! WE WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK AND I PROMISE TO SHARE OUR EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS!!!!!!

Poor service. Purchased a used 2008 mitsubishi lancer sedan I was told the tires needed replacement, along with brakes and rotors (to be completed by the dealership). The brakes and rotors were done, but the tires were not replaced. While driving north on QE2 to Airdrie, my front left tire went flat while driving 110 on the highway. Luckily near an exit, i was able to make it to fountain tire to have my tires replaced. 775 dollars out of my pocket later, Eastside Kia has not only jepordized my life, but did not replace the tires like agreed upon in the contract, and have yet to reimburse the money that i had to pay for something they agreed to replace, and the AMIVAC inspection said needed replacing. Allowing someone to drive away with 2/32 of tread left is terrible service.

UPDATE:
After this post was made, the GM personally contacted me to help me quickly rectify the situation, after speaking with him on the phone, and then in person, Kelly explained that the used car sales manager was in the wrong, and should have worked with me to fix the problem versus laying the blame elsewhere. Now that the problem is fixed I can honestly say that it was an excellent experience dealing with Kelly and shows that a GM really does care about his customers experience,
