New Car (Sales)

Leonardo Gottschald, director of sales, has proven to be disorganized, dishonest and amateurish in treating our file. It took almost 9 months and the threat of a formal notice for our deposit to be refunded. He blamed us for not picking up the deposit in person, though every time we went to the dealership, the check was not ready. Every time we called to have it mailed due to my employment's COVID restrictions, they would say the check would be in the mail, though it never was. Save yourself the hassle and go to any other dealership on the island, you won't be disapointed.

1 star is too high a rating for their level of customer service.

Used Car (Sales)

Went to buy a used car but they don't have parking for customers so we had to park on the street. The whole process took longer than the parking time allowed because we had to wait for sales director, so we ended getting a ticket. I tried to get them to pay for it, but the salesman didn't go out of his way and just gave up after not being able to talk to his boss. They don't care after the car is sold. They don't see the problem of having their customers get a ticket because they can't provide parking.

During the sale process, they put a good amount of effort to sell additional products with high profit margin, but negotiating repairs or discount is barely possible because they become closed and very defensive in their argumentation. The vibe is really "give me your money" type of sale experience, not win-win for the customer and dealer. I ended up buying a used car there because of the car itself, definitely not for the service.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I expected a more genuine customer experience.

Good, courteous service with salesperson Willy and finance manager Andres. Willy explained things well enough although there were a few details I would have liked to have known before using my new car ex: going over charging. Reaching them to discuss what I consider a minor misunderstanding has thus far proven to be an impossible rigamarole. I’m happy with the car, but if you read this and get back to me, I do have words of advice for future reference.

I bought a new car recently through Coiteux Hyundai and I had an amazing experience.

The seller who assisted me, Ruben, helped me a great deal to choose what was best for me and most of all, I never felt pressured by him to make a choice on a moment's notice. He answered all of my questions (and I had a lot ;) ) with patience and helped me feel more at ease during the process. He had no problem admitting what he did and didn't know and if I changed my mind about something, he never made me feel bad about it.

I can say that this was one of my best experiences with a seller in my life. I highly recommend Coiteux Hyundai and especially Ruben for his dedicated and respectful approach.

STAY AWAY! These people are liars and scam artists. Really disgusting people. They have no respect and try to scam you with invalid charges. Trying to make an extra buck off of innocent people during these hard times. Spoke to Mr. Coiteux himself and he's probably the worst one! Only cares about being right and was very unprofessional. An utter waste of time at this Hyundai dealership. I came in to look for the Kona Electric 2020, they've sent the most clueless rep to help me. It was a young blond girl, we asked about the car, it was like she was just describing what she sees...like girl, we see the same thing too, tell me about the features, the updates, something that makes this car stands out compared to the competition??

We went for a test drive and she awkwardly sits in the front as we drive...IN COMPLETE SILENCE. No attempt to upsell or introduce any of the features. While driving, I had a question about a button, I asked 'what does this button do on the steering wheel?', she actually turned around and PRETENDED like she didn't hear me. Then she suggests that I press buttons and play around with it as if it's my own car, so I asked again what the same buttons do, to which she replies she doesn't know.

After 20 minutes at this dealership, I still have no information about the car, and I felt like I've completely wasted my time. Don't bother with this dealership, you're better off going to another Hyundai dealership where the staff actually has any knowledge about the products they're trying to sell.

Just purchased a car from this agency today.

Our salesman (Stanley) had no idea what he was doing most of the time, he had to go ask someone else every time we asked a simple question.

They kept using our wrong address on our paperwork and kept saying it was ok, but excuse me of course I don't want incorrect paperwork.

We asked for English paperwork and we only received French (I speak French but my husband doesn't).

They're not taking our insurance proof even though it has all the information they need, just because the paper doesn't have the words "insurance proof" at the top.

Stanley doesn't know how to print a single page of a 30 page pdf document. You have to be kidding me.

They gave us wrong information for our insurance process, and now we're stuck trying to get an update on our insurance while sitting here in the agency.

I'll come back to add more things later today once I calm down.

Amazing and fast service, yesterday i visited the service in Coiteux Hyundai after my Elantra 2019 showed check engine light for minor issue and without appointment as it was urgent and they took my car and promised me to check it asap and second day they called me and the problem solved, also they gave me few instructions, really i am so grateful that they fixed my car and specially in this difficult time with few staff working and also as we need to use our cars instead of public transportation during covid19 time thank you very much.

I had an appointment with Leonardo to sign the contract yesterday and he was not there and he didn't call me before to let me know that and try to reschedule it. Nobody was aware that I would come to sign the contract. Every time I call him and he is busy he does not call me back. Besides that I bought the Kona EV on June 4th 2019 and the initial estimated time was 6 months to delivery it. Now it's been more then 9 months and I still don't have the car. He said on January 31th I would have the car on the first week of March and it is still not the case.

I regret convincing my girlfriend to rent her car from this location. I’m so surprise to even read positive reviews in English because NOBODY speaks English at this location. They promised us to have an English copy of the lease and never provided one. Furthermore, calling for services done on the car is a total nightmare, they never call back or barely communicate the issues since they can’t speak English. Even taking an appointment for oil change couldn’t work because the person couldn’t make the difference between Tuesday and Thursday and we came two times for no reason. Everytime she has to communicate with Hyundai I have to call the location since I speak French and quite frankly there’s no difference. The receptionist is rude and unhelpful.

The worst place to by a car.

I bought a GT (used) from them, after 3 days they gave me the car and they said we need 1 day for touch-up but car wasn't even polished and no touch-up at all. Same day I took the car, I realised front break had a bad noise and wheels were shaking in highway. I went back to them and they even don't allow their mechanics to check my car and they said " we did inspection and car is OK" but in inspection paper only Rear breaks was inspect not front one and I showed them car breaks are noise but the owner of dealership said " deal with that as it is or take your money back.
so I had to take my money back and pay penalty to insurance company.

Honestly, it’s the first time in my life that I am experiencing such a poor customer service and communication with the client.
During almost a week that my application was considered, I haven’t received a single phone call or email with concrete requirements or updates on the status. Instead, I had to call and email them three-five times a day to get piece meal information. The cherry on top of the cake was that the car was not ready when we came to pick it up (which, by the way, was a day later than initially promised to us).
We lost a lot of time, energy, and money (Uber trips and day offs in vain). Totally obnoxious and outrageous experience.

Si vous avez besoin de réparation, cela vous prendra plus de 20 jours pour avoir un rendez-vous. De plus, ce concessionnaire fait tout pour ne pas respecter la garantie. À quoi bon acheter une auto avec garantie si ceux-ci font tout pour l'éviter ?

Exemple, si vous avez un problème de rouille, vous prendrez rendez-vous. Dans 20 jours, vous manquez le travail et le gars responsable de la rouille ne se présente pas. Vous devez attendre un autre 20 jours et encore une fois, il est absent. Si vous n'avez pas de temps à perdre, allez tout simplement ailleurs. Nous avons une autre auto et le service à la clientèle est efficace.

They helped me get out of a bind! I was driving cross country from Washington DC to Montreal for vacation and my car broke down in Montreal. I do not like going to dealership because they overcharge. But I had to get my car fixed. When I called to explain my problem they told me to bring the car down. I had to leave later that night so that I would have enough time to get back D.C. in time. They were able to get the car fixed in less than 2 hours for a job that usually would take all day! I was so happy! And the bill was lower than I expected.

I am so happy that I found them when I was in trouble. The service was great and they helped me when I needed it the most.
