New Car (Sales)

The last new car I purchased was from Hyundai of Oakville, and I swore I would never buy a new car again after a terrible sales experience. But as Shakespeare said, "the art of our necessities is strange, that can make vile things precious", and I found myself back in another dealership, much against my will. I was greeted by Greg Berg, who immediately put me at ease by not trying to 'sell' me a car. He was familiar, but professional, and absolutely not what I had experienced from many sales reps in my past. His knowledge of the cars and of people led me to trust him, and he came up with a solution for my wife and I that worked financially, and practically. He treated us both with utmost respect, which again, is often rare in a sales role. We are both very pleased with our new CRV, and with the overall experience. There was a two week delay in the delivery of our vehicle, but Greg and Halton Honda were on top of the communication at all times. I strongly recommend Halton Honda, and definitely recommend you ask for Greg when you arrive. As soon as Greg can get his hands on the Civic Type-R, I'll be back for a less family oriented car. :)

I was concerned about one tire being low. Your service department checked and informed me that tire air pressure was low. They fixed that at no charge and advised me that tires need changing. I will do that at my next service appointment. I am very appreciative and surprised that I was not charged. Thank you Halton Honda.

We'll keep buying Hondas because of this level of service. Though we'll likely hold out for a fully electric like the Honda e.

The absolute best car-buying experience we've ever had. My family has bought multiple vehicles from them and we've pledged to never buy a vehicle from anywhere else. Will, our salesman, has been outstandingly helpful to us from our very first purchase, and everyone on staff is extremely friendly. They're very loyal to their customers and they are experts at putting that final little touch to perfect a sale (like a basket of chocolates, a cutting board or other small touches). Called this morning asking about wait time and the service department said an hour and a half for an oil change, but told me if I came after noon, he would expedite it and it would be a lot shorter. Took my name and everything. Just went in to get it done and was told the same time and that expediting isn’t possible. I get that you guys don’t do appointments, but please don’t waste my time and have me move my schedule around to try to come in at a certain time if it’s not going to make a difference! Otherwise I don’t usually have a problem with their service department, but really disappointed with this experience.

Unfortunately, I can't put a zero star rating. I called this morning about a warning light on my car. They gave me an appointment 45min later! I was thrilled... jetted over and checked in. Waited patiently for 2 hours, then asked politely for an update. Car wasn't even taken into the garage from the parking lot!!! "We have you booked in until 3pm - these diagnostics can be a bit long." No kidding, when you aren't even look at the car! Because I had other commitments today, I had to rebook where I drop off the car for another 6 hour stretch for it to sit on the lot because Halton Honda can't book in a more time efficient manner. At least a heads up at the time of booking that the planned appointment is 6 hours is the minimum I expect... Absolutely zero communication, professionalism, courtesy, or respect shown.

After a VERY negative experience with Barrie Honda and having rude associates trying to be tricked into deals that didn’t make sense for me, waiting for 9 hours to be called back buy an associate who asked me to call her and never being called back and being put into a deal when they didn’t have a physical car. I was told that there was no more of the car I wanted (2019 Honda Civic touring coupe) my boyfriend and I refused to believe it and he ended up finding out that Halton Honda had one in their lot. When we called we had the pleasure of dealing with Kirsten, she was extremely helpful and accommodating at every point through out the process working around my schedule, answering my text messages while not on the clock and going as far as coming in on her day off on a Saturday of all days to accommodate my busy schedule so that I could do the paperwork for the car.
Kirsten makes me wish the Halton Honda was my local deal-ship. Also felt the need to mention that we also worked with Carlo he was very helpful, personable and explained things very well for me making sure that I was in a deal that made sense for me and that I didn’t have any surprises.

A little disappointed... Went in to drive a couple of 2019 vehicles and was so disappointed (and a bit repulsed ) at being given such a filthy 2019 Pilot Touring to drive. I've been to Chrysler, Ford, Cambridge Honda and Toyota in the last few months .... Have never been given such dirty cars to drive - brand new, no less ! It was very interesting to me that they'd put a potential lifetime client in a vehicle that was so dirty... It definitely ruined the experience (was afraid to touch anything in the Pilot). The sales guy was very nice to us which is why I'm rating it a two star Instead of zero.

I had such a great experience at Halton Honda for my first oil change. I had a scheduled oil change appointment, but I also had a minor issue with the trim around my window, which I advised Marc of and he told me he would have the technician look at it for me. The technician advised he would order the part for me free of charge as I have warranty and to book an appointment and he would do it for me. For my second appointment, I needed to use the shuttle service and needed to be dropped of at work and then picked up on my lunch hour. The service I had was just amazing, the shuttle service employee Stan called me right at 2:00pm, and was at my pick up location within 10 minutes. I felt very comfortable with both Marc and Stan as my car was being repaired. I would highly recommend Halton Honda as the staff go over and beyond, are extremely friendly, and the overall customer service was excellent!

I have, only in the past eight months, been to this Dealership for Service such as changing my winter tyres to summer tyres and vice versa, oil change and some minor things. Except for my very first phone call, when a woman answered the phone and sounded very abrupt, I have found this Dealership very good. The Service Staff all look very contented which reflects on Customers. So far I have found the staff very pleasant and helpful. This Dealership needs commendation for its good Customer Service. Their Showroom/Service Area are clean, bright and spacious. They have two very nice Waiting Areas, one with a large TV and comfortable sofas. The other Waiting area also has comfortable Pub style high table and chairs, sofas, Internet Service with two computers for Customer/children's use, a kids play area; a very clean Coffee area with a variety of teas/coffees and a good supply of everything needed and also treats and water bowl for the dogs. What more can one ask for. I was explained about charges for routine Service which is also in a print-out, i.e. Check-ups, Oil change etc. Hopefully, honesty is their Policy, because word of mouth brings more business. I would recommend anyone to this Dealership.
