Sheldon was so patient and he took the time to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the car that I chose. While making my decision on the car I texted and emailed Sheldon with many questions and he always responded immediately with helpful answers. If you are looking to purchase a new or used car at Steele Honda I would certainly recommend Sheldon, you won’t be disappointed. Great Sales team but ignorant service team. I brought my 2019 Honda Civic in for a fuel pump recall, while the fuel pump was replaced this dealer decided to add services without my consent, I asked for proof of consent (Email, Text , or Phone Call) and there is none because I was never contacted for the services. The dealership is currently trying to charge me for services I have never asked for or needed. (I had a oil change two months prior to bringing this vehicle in with less then 2000KMs on that oil change).

I was called by the service manager who called me a liar, I asked them to pull/play the phone call to prove I had consented to the services and the service manager said they cannot retrieve the call. He was extremely condescending on the phone. I have never in my life dealt with someone in customer service that was so rude.

Brought the car in on a Tuesday because of every warning light coming up on the dash and to get an oil change. The car was there for a week between them having issues figuring what was wrong and getting parts in. The lady at the service desk was great to deal with and very understanding about getting a rental and shuttle service. Reason for the one star I paid for an oil change and they must of done that first before addressing the other issues. When I got the car back it had 350km put on it and down to 60% oil life. Must of had the car running the whole time it was in the shop for that to happen and plus it not sounding the same as it was before I put it in. Good thing I purchased the 8 year warranty with this rig I’d say seeming it’s only a year old

During my time there I was inquiring over a power steering oil change at the service station, I was told the "it was sealed system and you do not need to change it" I can tell the clerk did not know what they were talking about, the person eventually moved me up to another person in an office where I inquired about that being in the service list, it wasnt, that's exactly how you get your power steering pump to fail, excess pressure build up ruining high pressure hoses, and premature rack failure and one of tech around agreed with the clerk from earlier, both of that just put me off, ended up buying some power steering fluid and just doing a change on my own instead of a flush.

The civic has a recall for an airbag, that was the other reason for the visit, so I got what I needed done at the end.

My car was scheduled for a recall. I dropped my car off in the morning and my partner had to take the full day off work (vehicle required for the job).
They had the car all day and realized 3pm that they forgot to order the part, AND their "machine" to fix it was broken? I was late for work and my partner taking the day off cost us over a hundred dollars as my partner has to book another day off.
Service advisor said sorry once and sent me out the door. They forgot to call me to book a follow up appointment and sent an automated video thanking me and asking how it went. Felt like they were laughing at us or taunting me.
Terrible experience, AVOID. I'd recommend another shop for work on your vehicle.

With all that said, I do like my honda car and thanks to the corporation for doing the recall. Local experience was not the best.

Management will call you a lier indirectly and not take ownership of their mistakes. They are rude and they will belittle you in front of others. They lied to me on a few occasions. I will always get a "survey" but I have not got a survey in 2 years. Service is gone down here from management. Kelly the advisor there is the only one there who is nice and will help you out. Been a loyal customer for 8 years but I will never be coming back again. Management will not help you at all and make you feel like you are the problem. No point in talking to them either. At one point, the manager wrote back saying basically, I am done with this conversation. If I could give no stars, I would.

Didn't have a good experience buying a used vehicle from here. Won't go into detail but it was inspected twice and failed to see 4 problems. Sales was okay, the salesman was friendly but soon as he found out I had issue he spooked. Had to go to the manager. They questioned me as if I was lying and I had brought it to a reputable garage and had proof. In the end their fixing the issues. My issue is I shouldn't have gone threw so much trouble buying a suv that was inspected twice and had obvious issues.

I got a 2019 Honda CR-V. I got a horrible experience with Steele Honda St. John's NL. My car was booked in for paint warranty and it is scheduled on August 19 - 21. They told me they will give me a loner car and I ask them if I can have the car till the 23rd and they told me YES I can have the loner car till 23rd as long as I pay the extra days that I'm gonna be having the loner car.( I agreed to pay ) So anyway I drove up this morning and was told that I have to bring the loner car back on Friday 21st because they don't have enough loner car. I was totally ROTTED because I got everything planned and won't be back till SUNDAY! They told they will rebook the paint job!

What a terrible service! Also It took them over A month or two before they got me booked in for warranty!

Extremely disappointed in this Steel Honda Dealership and their misleading customer service online & accusatory approach of in person Customer Service Representative Kelly who accused & embarrassed me in front of other customers & Honda employees present a week after I made the horrible decision to bring my vehicle to their dealership. It has been a nightmare for myself & my family (with two toddlers)during this difficult time and we moved to St.Johns a few months ago from Grandfalls, NL.

I have been a loyal Honda customer for years (and my family); this is the first time I have encountered the in-expertise of their technicians in Service Department (who provided an advice on what my vehicle needed in order to fix a problem (rattling noise from the front of my car that only got worse, especially when driven on the hwy with my children present in the var) My vehocle was serviced & a road test was apparently also completed by Honda Steele staff in St.John's - much to my dismayed, the problem was not fixed & my car was not safe to drive)

To make matters worse, I personally went to the dealership & was accused for possibly getting my breaks replaced by a “third party private company” hence the quality of my breaks was blamed AFTER the supposedly service completed before ny car was returned to my family & I.
I was eventually told by the Service Rep. (After being conveniently Acccused) that I’d have to spend about $1000 to get my brakes replaced and THAT should fix the problem for sure this time. It was apparently my Own fault for having them replaced by a "third party company" that mislead & replaced breaks of the lowest quality - that wouldn't havr been by a Honda Dealership (her justification: she couldn't confirm my Honda client
File: she didn't have access to the service information from other Honda dealerships
In NEWFOUNDLAND!) I was to be blamed as a customer for asking the question.
I have ONLY ever had my vehicle serviced at the dealership & to date, relied on their expertise and was Never embarrassed, accused in this manner. I left their dealership extremely frustrated as no one was able to help me, and told me to rent a car UNTIL the next appointment I was asked to book to get the breaks replaced. Or just drive it back to my house - while I was told it may not be safe to drive. It was "demanded" of me or politely Asked" - I really did not have a Choice as their Loyal Customer; did I? My family & children, during these difficult/uncertain times - we ALL rely on our safe vehicles for commute & our homes. Just like
I asked WHY was this not done earlier? As they had to replace the wheel bearing and align the wheels. Why didn’t they recommend breaks (it was ALL done within 2 weeks from the service date) - the reply was “maybe they didn’t look at the breaks then.....” It is beyond me how my situation was being handled.

Online chat platform - I talked to Samantha for MOST of my day via the social media chat (on Steel Honda’s website) - long story short, I ended up calling the dealership before they closed as I didn’t get a call back as promised and talked to the Real Samantha (who works at the dealership& confirmed Her picture is used but the conversation I had was with someone Else pretending to be her to provide service)
Samantha was a pleasure to talk to....
However, after a Long frustrating and stressful day to get my vehicle fixed so our family had a car, NOTHING was done.
My breaks were changed at a Honda dealership (their Service Manager then confirmed) and in August, 2018! I was under the impression that he was familiar with the issues well, however, we just went in circles and eventually hung up on us.
Online chat was ALL misleading & wrong promises to resolve the matter and basically you’re just fooled as a client. With COVID restrictions & online platform being promoted for communication & help. How is your dealership okay with providing wrong information, provide appointment times & confirmations so openly which not only extremely inconvenient, a complete waste of time and nothing gets rectified.

Disappointed in Honda this morning. I had used their website chat service on Thursday to book an appointment for this morning, and was supposed to receive a call regarding availability of a loaner vehicle. I did not receive a call on Friday or Saturday, so called out this morning to confirm. Good thing I did. I learned that the chat feature is just a robot, and I don't even have an appointment, let alone a loaner car. When I asked about getting one, I was informed that I can never have a loaner because I live locally. Under normal circumstances, sure, an inconvenience but not a huge deal. Due to covid-19 however, they don't even have a shuttle available, and I wouldn't be comfortable using one anyway with all of the distancing recommendations still in place. I was basically told if I can't find my own ride, I'm out of luck

Brought my vehicle in for service and was greeted immediately at the drive-in facility by a customer service agent who took my keys and provide me a ticket stub to give to the customer service agent.

At the service desk, I was greeted by a professional customer service representative who took my information and processed my work order immediately. She was courteous, professional and certainly appeared to be knowledgeable about the service required. Looked after me in a few minutes and I was on my way. I then received a call from the same representative to advise my vehicle was ready for arrive and this was followed immediately by an e-mail with the same information. Excellent service!

Surprised about the lack of new car warranty coverage on Honda's
Do not trust in their own vehicles enough to provide a decent all inclusive warranty like Ford does??
I pay nothing for maintenance on my F150 but there's always a cost involved for the same or similar maintenance on the Civic.
In hindsight the second vehicle should have also been a Ford.. next time it will!
