OpenRoad Hon da Burnaby was not on my mind initially as I was shopping for a new Civic. However, after having a myraid of bad and insulting experiences with other Honda dealerships , we decided to check this dealership out. And we ended up buying the brand new Civic through them. June Zhang is the best saleswoman I have come across. She carefully and patiently listened to our requirements and managed to convince us to get the car from this dealership. The supporting personnel working in this dealership also made us feel at home. There were no pushy sales tactics or scaremongering. If we said we didn't want something, they said ok and we moved on to the next part of the overall sales process. Honda Financing was also on our side and offered financing for the car - despite us having a little to no credit in the country as we just arrived in Canada a few months before writing this review. I would definitely recommend this dealership over any of the other Honda dealerships in Vancouver.
We test driver the Honda Civic touring/Honda Accrod touring has more space then the civic.. over all there both nice car but I still going Accrod is great to say my salemanger brain woo .. I really want the mats throw in the Deal...
When to purchase a new vehicle. The sales people were good, but they were unable to offer me a lower price. In the the end I was able to get my Honda Touring cheaper at Westwood Honda.
It's a scam like dealership. I went to Open Road Honda in Barnaby, looking for a used car. I was greeted by sales person, everything was good until we negotiated the price. It's a certified Honda pre-owned car, as it says in auto trader and their sign on the window. However, when I wanted to confirm if it's a certified car or not, the salesperson talked to his manager and told me I have to pay additional $500 for it to be certified, because Honda Canada charges this fee. Then I hesitated and wanted to leave. At this moment, the manager asked me to stay for negotiation but I was not convinced. The next day, I visited a few more Honda dealerships, none of them charges this fee for a certified car. I don't believe that Open Road Honda would lie to me, so I phoned Honda Canada in Ontario, and I was assured that Honda Canada dosen't charge any fee for certified cars. So I decided not to go back there for a car any more.
Alex is a great guy. He just made all the thing convenient for refunding the deposit as soon as possible when I called and told him not to buy.

Please don't go on a lock smith or they will ripp you off, the asking price was $90 w/o tax but here at Honda i just got it from $35 with tax. that was a life saver. Probably ill stop reading posts on some random sites that dealership will open your wallet wide open but in my experience it did not so i was so happy going on this dealership!

Felt like royalty there. Bought a used car, and there was no pressure to buy. The road test was "fun" to say the least! Rome is a great seller. Easy going, answers as best as he can and very chill. Times have changed and so has how buying a car, but everyone treated me like royalty. Absolutely pain free.

I went to this branch of OpenRoad Honda when my lease was up. I was decided on a mini van but I was still comparing a couple options when I went down to this store. Zack and Vincent were very helpful with all the information I needed. They showed me which trim will be best option for my budget, and really took time to explain everything clearly. Excellent service department at this dealership. I just relocated to BC from Ontario and had an absolutely horrible experience over a bunch of issues with them - some I only discovered after bringing it to Open Road.

I purchased my car from Honda in May this year. I kept putting off writing my review but issues with my car keep arising and therefore, I have to write it as I was not happy with my purchase or experience.
Initially during the process, I was pleased with the car salesman as he seemed very genuine and honest about the whole process. However, the process was just difficult and annoying. One example is when I went in to do my financing and was told I would get a call back within 3 hours to see if it was approved, I did not receive a call back. I then called Honda and the sales representative informed me that I would receive a call back within 20 minutes. After waiting one hour, I decided to call back again as I was told I could pick up my car this day and I was excited to do so. Upon calling, I was informed that they were all in a meeting. At this point I was just frustrated as I had waited all day. I had to text the initial salesman who took initiative to ensure the lady I had spoken to about financing called me back so I knew whether I could pick my car up or not. Of course, I had to wait another day to pick up my car without any good reason.
After purchasing my vehicle, I have discovered that my car had winter tires on in May and I had to change them to the all season ones. I had to spend money for no good reason when my vehicle should have had all season tires on during the summer months. I have also discovered that my spare key does not work. I'm not sure why, but dealing with Honda was a headache and not easy at all when I was purchasing my vehicle so I can't imagine how helpful they will be when I am just trying to replace my key that never worked.
I'm a student and I purchased a used car. So not sure if that was the reason I didn't feel like a valued customer. However, I hope Honda does ensure every customer is treated well as purchasing a car is a lot of money (especially for a full-time student). When my parents purchased both of their new vehicles from Honda (Odyssey and Accord) I was the one who influenced their decision and told them to choose Honda. However, after my own experience, once I decide to upgrade my car or my parents decide to upgrade theirs, we won't consider purchasing from Honda.

I was able to get a very nice and elegant car for a very good price. I bought 3 vehicles from this place, was looking at another one for my father, and one for my brother as well, was not able to make deal as manager wouldn't move on their price stating its import not domestic car blah blah....so much for loyalty, will take them somewhere else, maybe different Honda dealer or different brand after all...perhaps Toyota or Subaru might be more flexible....
Bought a newer used car off ORH and the transmission died right at the end of warranty. I would have been completely screwed, but they covered the cost of repair, which would have put the entire transaction at a significant loss for them. We had a great experience when we purchased our new honda civic hatchback. We went during their latest midnight sale and Leo Lou was very busy and probably tired but he was still all smiles and was ready to answer all our questions. We never felt pressured. Excellent and friendly service. Initially I was going to buy used CR-V and even put down deposit already. Later on, I decided not to take that offer and I'm able to get refund without any hassle. Financing manager is also not pushing you to buy any extra and just straight to proceed with you business. Salesman I dealt with is friendly and helpful. No hassle during test drive. I recommend checking out this place. 4 stars because it seems like used car sales and new car sales has different treatment. Used car dealership seems like old building, no good coffee machine whereas new car section (across the street from used car dealership) has latte machine.

just purchased a 2014 honda odyssey touring a few weeks ago. my previous was a 2005 honda odyssey touring as well. but 9 years has advanced the vehicle to a new level.
took my van in for a service issue because we were headed on a road trip the next day. leaky tire. was ready to rip into honda. but apparently i ran over a nail and it was jammed in the side wall. so i was the sucker at the moment.
guys there were kind enough to give me a break and looked after my needs and didn't rub it in on me. can't ask for a better group of customer service people.
then went on a road trip with the family for a weekend. if this isn't a family vehicle i don't know what is.
they say it sucks ... and it does. the vacuum in the back was handy when my kids poured out a bag of dorito's chips. pulled over crawled into the back to get the hose and we found ourselves cleaning at 100km/hour.
why? because having crumbs all over the place aggravates me even though we got rubber mats to cover the carpets. 4 and 6 year old kids just have no sense of cleanliness.
with the mess out of the way we continued our drive in peace. the rear entertainment kept the kids happy. kept me even happier because the back seat driver sitting in the passenger seat ... also know as 'the wife' ... moved to the back to enjoy a movie with kids in the added 8th seat. it was almost like movie night at home but we were hurtling down the highway towards Seattle in the afternoon.
the 2014 seems to sit a little lower than the 2005 and the suspension/tire/wheel combination made the drive very sedanlike but with the comfort of being in an oversized chair. new chair is larger than the old one.
a typical drive to seattle and back was about 45L in the 2005. the 2014 did it in about 35L. 10L. big deal? not really dollar wise but still impressive enough. probably will have a larger impact if you did a longer drive. the 6th gear really sips gas.
if every saturday afternoon could be this enjoyable.
