I purchased a vehicle from there about a month ago, I’m sorry to say the sales guy I dealt with drop the ball many times, don’t get me wrong , he did everything in his power to get us what we wanted, hats off for that but the deal was going sideways and I was getting very upset, so I decided to call the dealership and talk to management, Andrew Kingsley was his name and did a great job closing the deal, very easy to talk to , a man of his word, if your in the market to get a vehicle talk to him he’ll get things rolling smoothly and get you in a vehicle you want without any hiccups

Worst waiting time. I was called at 12noon by my service advisor that the car is ready for pick up at 1:30 pm. Booked their shuttle at 3:00pm to give some time to make sure there's no rush on the repairs and winter tire replacement. Got in at 3:40 pm and was informed that alignment has not been done. Waited for an hour for the alignment, and waited for an extra 20 minutes just to have the car ready. Please don't call your customers if you are not 100% sure of your schedules.

It took lots of convincing from Mr. Gauthier for me to buy a Chevy. Lots. But, he then got me to watch a film called the Two Minutes of Hate every day for a week. Though I couldn't feel any emotion after that experience, I was convinced all the other auto dealerships in Winnipeg were true enemies of the state, and I promptly bought a Chevy. Though I can feel no joy, sadness, or anger, I'm sure I made the right choice.
Full of empty promises. Adam McAlpine is very hard to get a hold of. No one from the dealership will reply to my emails. He gave me the impression that the car was under my name and my mother was willing to co-sign, but turned out the contract was all in her name. The very pushy truck driver who delivered the car pressured her into signing before I could get to her place. Feeling ripped off and gutted. Caused me and my family a lot of stress.
I have purchased one vehicle at this dealership a 97 Cavalier. Unfortunately I do not appreciate the sales staff here.
I come back because of the Service Staff. I started with Justin Kuchinski who has since left as a Service advisor but is still in the building. Justin had been my go to guy for years whenever I had a GM vehicle. Now Rob Miekle takes care of me, these guys are very knowledgeable, fair, and really do give you good advice.

Not very happy with the service here, i paid 37 dollars for the mechanic to lift my truck up and say he didnt wanna try and repair my thread on a part.
I took it to mechanic shop down the street and they completely repaired the part tapped and threaded for 67 dollars.
30 dollars more to get the job done at a professional shop.
Terrible, terrible experience. For the life of me I will never go to this dealership again. How they have such high reviews is astounding. Watch out for the shady products the finance officers try to sell you on at the end. You're going to be paying for something you'll never actually be able to use. Post customer care is nil. As long as they get their initial sale from you they do not care at all.

I can’t speak for the work they do. My mom had work done, here, and was satisfied which is why I decided to give this place a try despite being 30 minutes drive from home. Only gave three stars as I had issue making it past the appointment process, online. Customer service was good in contacting me. I received a call notifying me that they needed more information from me as it was assumed I had purchased a vehicle from there. I called back and sorted out the issue that I am a new customer. The woman I talked to asked me to make an appointment. I informed her I had an appointment booked for a specific time and day already and I had texts and emails confirming my appointment. The lady said that slot was no longer avaliable. This frustrated me as I probably would have wound up driving all the way to the dealership with someone else in my spot had I not called the dealership back to sort out the issue. The voicemail they had left me did not specify my appointment was not final as a result of not having completed information. Confused, I just made a new date and time and wound up cancelling and going somewhere else.
My parents recently bought an SUV from this place and they couldn't be anymore happier with the service that they received. Thank you for making it a smooth and easy process for them! They love their new vehicle!
I have bought 4 trucks over the yrs from both Gauthier Chevy and most recently their gmc dealership. I continue to take my truck to the Chevy dealership for the fact of the great service I receive there. I have mainly dealt with one service rep who’s name is Gerald and he has always been courteous, polite and he knows how fussy I am and always goes the extra mile to make sure no matter what my truck is in for that I’m completely satisfied with my truck. Larry Rode was great to deal with from start to finish. Easy going, no pressure. He really tries to find you what you want/need, the right fit and then works to make the deal happen. So kind, attentive and so helpful. In Finance, Salar was knowledgeable, efficient ,super pleasant and patient. Our shopping time was short and they got it all done. Everyone was helpful and pleasant. My Mom ,cousin and neighbor deal there and are very happy ,too.
We went to this dealership because of an ad for a Silverado truck. I went online and checked their inventory on-line but could not find the truck advertised through the stock number they published in the paper. I got hooked up with a salesman by the name of Manny. I made an appointment to meet with him to look at the truck. I left him my phone number and e-mail address in case he needs to contact me. He assured me the truck was in inventory.
When my wife and I got to the dealership we sat down in "Manny's" office and told him we'd like to test drive the vehicle. He goes through the process of trying to find the vehicle on his list but is unable to. He goes to talk to his sales manager and comes back and tells me they sold the truck 3 days prior. I asked him why he told me he had the truck available and why he couldn't call me and tell me it was sold. Also if it was sold they should have advised the Free Press and the Free Press could have made changes to the ad. I walked out of the dealership.
One week later on Saturday I look at the Free Press and there is the same truck, the same stock number and the same price advertised again. Then I find another ad this time in the Winnipeg Sun again same ad, same truck and same price.
After posting this review I received an e-mail explaining what happened and why the dealer was advertising the truck more than once. Apparently, the original deal did not go through due to the customer not being to get financing.
This makes total sense and most certainly appreciate having the Vice President and General Manager advising me of the details. Obviously this dealership cares about it's image and has taken the best steps to ensure this. I find this approach from the dealership caring and respectful.

I recently brought my vehicle in for service and the service team did exceptional work to my car and had me back on the road in no time. I am very impressed with this service department and will be returning to Jim Gauthier to have my vehicle serviced in the future.
My experience was excellent. I wasn't sure I could get approved for a car loan. I spoke with Michelle in finance and she said no problem just come down here and we will help you. When I came I went and saw Liz and she took all my info and was very helpful. When selecting a car my sales person Dennis showed me a couple different vehicles and helped me pick out the right one. The biggest and happiest part of my purchase was when the lot team and Dennis arranged to have my previous vehicle shampooed, cleaned and ready at the same time I was picking up my new car as I was giving my previous one to my daughter for her 18th birthday and it surprised her greatly. Thank you Dennis, Michelle, Liz and everyone else who helped make my journey amazing. I look forward to the next time I buy a vehicle from them.
