I would like to give a shout out to Olivia Burleigh and Kristen Smith on making our experience buying our new GMC Terrain and amazing experience. Olivia's sense of humor, personality, and knowledge of the vehicle was outstanding. My wife could not make it into the dealership with me that day so she let me take the SUV home for the night for both of us to try and fall in love with. Just being given that opportunity to experience the suv and get familiar with it over a 24 hour period totally sealed the deal for us and also not to mention when Olivia brought her puppy Angus in on the Saturday to get the SUV back from us was another reason to say yes to this car :). I highly recommend Jim Wilson chevrolet invest in a dealership puppy cause it definitely breaks the ice and makes for a great conversation starter because nobody can say no to a puppy :).
Kristen Smith was amazing with all of the financing side of the deal and even did it via text and email on her long weekend off. Both Olivia and Kristen took time out of their own weekend and personal lives to make this deal happen. Normally a pile of paperwork can be overwhelming and a lot of signatures but Kristen made it so simple and easy for us and the time of pick up was super quick and easy.
I would recommend Jim wilson chevrolet to anybody looking for a new vehicle and definitely ask for Olivia and Kristen because you will not be disappointed whatsoever.

My experience at Jim Wilson was a no doubt 5-star experience. Olivia B was my sales representative. She was truly professional from the very beginning. Quick replies in all messages back and forth. If there was an answer she didn’t know, she didn’t make up any BS just for the sake of giving an answer, but would go out of her way to make sure she found the answers for me. She was honest from the beginning, and that truly goes a long way for me. She went above and beyond.

Kristin was also very pleasant to deal with, and was able to answer all questions I had.

Both ladies always greeted me with a smile, and displayed professionalism throughout the whole experience.

I was not overly impressed with the detailing upon taking delivery of my new vehicle. There was a fair amount of left over wax that was not wiped off the paint, smudges and streaks all over the glass, engine bay was never cleaned.

Other than that, my experience was top-notch at this dealership. Felt much more comfortable with purchasing from the dealership than any of the others I was shopping around at.

10/10 recommend Jim Wilson Chevrolet, would be happy to shop there again for future vehicles.

A month ago, in the heart of the pandemic shutdown, I was in need of a new vehicle. I messaged many dealerships in the area with used vehicles I was interested in and Jim Wilson's was by far the quickest and easiest to communicate with. Adam Moon was the salesman I spoke with and he gave me his personal cell number so we could easily communicate at any time of day due to me being in the healthcare field.
The process was so smooth and I never once felt taken advantage of. Pricing was fair and service was amazing.
The day I was to pick up my car at 4pm, my vehicle at the time blew up on my way to work. I called Adam and asked if I could have my car earlier and he got it all sorted out including getting me transportation to the dealership!

Terrible service. Don't waste your time and money taking your vehicle here for repairs. I had them do my fuel injectors and they botched it, had to bring back and pay for my own rental so i could get to work. They refused to cover cost of rental on a job they had to do twice because they couldn't get right the first time. Also botched my bumper replacement, got it back with one of the license plate lights not working. They refused to fix saying it was like that when i brought it in (it wasn't) i had to call gm Canada to get them to fix it. They did, but what a hassle. Ill never go here for service again

Amazing service here. My first time at the dealership auto service and I called, they were so busy 1 week later in bookings...but once I explained my car was overheating and had to get off the road they said come and and they will try to have someone look at it. Theresa and Cathy looked after me and sent me home with their shuttle service and had it looked after in a hour. Amazing quality service. When I was there it was very comforting. i Got my truck from Jim Wilson and initially it was sold to me with a crushed oil filter which eventually failed roadside. I took it in later for warranty work on injectors and my truck was returned with a dented tailgate. Most recently I had it in for transmission work which took two weeks and was returned with an exhaust leak so bad I had to shut the truck off at any stops. I had the exhaust supposedly fixed which lasted two days and now have the same leak and exhaust in the cab and when I call the dealership they tell me it’s no longer their problem. This dealership has been a pain since day one. Constantly being given false repair advice and fixing parts that are non issues on my truck and given the run around when trying to have repairs repaired. I will never spend a single dollar of my own money at this poorly run establishment. They claim to have a 100% customer satisfaction approval but when they send out the questionnaire they ask you not to fill it out if you have anything negative to say or cannot in fact give them 100%. I don’t give them 50%. How can you claim full satisfaction when you are censoring the feedback?????

Service department told me it was the condenser unit and they would not have the part until Monday. Service department was going to send me home with NO A/C on the hottest weekend of the year until Bernie stepped in to get me a loaner. If i could give less than 1 star, i would!
I gave this place a second chance after a 2 hour oil change my first visit. This time it was a multi-point vehicle health check. I was assured by the guy checking me in that it would only be 45 minutes...1 hour max. Well, again, almost 2 hours later it was finished! Asking why it took so long, the same guy says, well we don't bring the vehicle right into the servive area, there's about a 15 minute wait to get it in. Maybe add that on to your time quote??? They think people have nothing better to do then sit around a car dealership.
Then to try and rip you off $200 for lubing your breaks, and another $70 for replacing a cabin filter? I guess they can suck some people in.
Will never go back again.

Buyer beware...last year I bought a 2018 Equinox at Jim Wilson in Orillia. My vehicle only has 25,000km and they said they need to clean and grease my brake pads and charged me $250.00 said not under warranty. They also didn’t come and ask me promission to do this work because if they would have I would have definitely questioned why only after 25,000km I am paying for work on my brakes...I am guessing this must be an issue with the Equinox vehicles because we should not be paying for brake pad issues at only 25,000km the brakes are hardly broke in at this mileage.

When I bought my truck from Jim Wilson, I bought from Sam Green. She was amazing, and respectful. (5 stars for Sam). I went in with my Girlfriend to look at the Trax. Unfortunately, Sam was not in that day so we met with Bernie. He was disrespectful and rude. I challenged him on a couple charges he included on the quote, and I said I wasn't charged those on my truck. He responded with "wanna bet?". I said yes, and he got very heated and said "OKAY MAN. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BET!?!". He was also dropping F bombs during the entire conversation. Because of this interaction, my review of Jim Wilson goes from 5 stars to 0 stars if possible.

I'm in Ottawa and was searching for a used 2011-13 Volt for months. The few that popped up here were either beat up or overpriced or both (one 2012 had been hit twice, for a 20K asking price; another had rust and a 24K asking price). I saw one at Jim Wilson's internet site on Xmas Eve 2015, a '12 with low miles. Within two emails, I had an excellent offer for my trade and an agreed price.

When we go there, Brendan was ready at 9 a.m. on a snowy Saturday, and the car was gleaming inside and out. Not a mark on it and lightyears better condition than every Volt I'd seen in Ottawa. We were suitably impressed. Brendan had us in and out in under 1.5 hours and were home by about 3 pm after stopping for lunch.

I've seen tons of salespeople, most of whom you would call "typical", and Brendan is not like them. He really went the extra mile in terms of service and preparation. I contacted him a couple week later for a couple things and he mailed them right away, with no issues. So top marks for after-sales service too. He even thought to give my daughter a stuffed toy that she is still amazed he threw in the deal. She loves its Chevy t-shirt.

I've bought a sold at least a couple dozen cars in my time privately and have dealt with almost every kind of dealer, from used-car lots in Toronto to megabuck showrooms in Montreal to private sellers in New York. Jim Wilson says their prices are "all-in" on the Internet and that customer satisfaction is their priority. Both were 100% true in my case. I can say Jim Wilson's will be on top of my list when it comes time to upgrade the '12 Volt.

Well worth the 4-hour drive on January 1! Do your homework - don't be afraid to leave Ottawa for a better deal.

Impressed by the attention to our requirements. My wife and I stopped by Jim Wilson just to check out some pick-ups for a possible upcoming purchase. I finally had to scrap a 1997 Blazer and needed another 4X4. Being a lifetime Chevy guy, I wanted a new Silverado. We were greeted by Bernie Bartz in the lot and he showed us several trucks which met our requirements. After going over all the specifics, I got a little cold feet and needed some time to reflect on the possible purchase. Both Bernie and the sales manager encouraged me to go home and think about it - absolutely no feeling of pressure. First time at a dealer that it wasn't suggested that I had to buy right now or I would miss the deal. We felt very comfortable and at ease. A great buying experience from first visit to drive away.
