In an effort to keep sales high, automakers competing harder than ever to get retain or even grow their share of the market, resulting in major incentives available on some of Canada’s most popular SUVs. For example, you can step into a 7-passenger SUV this May with $5,000 in savings on the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL and $2,500 in incentives on the 2019 Mazda CX-9.
If a subcompact is more to your liking, the 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and 2019 Kia Niro can be purchased with incentives of $2,500 after tax and $750 respectively. As of May 1, the Government of Canada has introduced the iZEV program which offers an after-tax rebate of up to $5,000 on electric vehicles, such as the 2019 Kia Soul EV and the 2019 Ford Fusion Energi, that can be combined with existing manufacturer incentives of $5,000 and $3,500 respectively.
