They will not go out of their way to honour their product. A spring rusted all the way through and snapped after only 100,000kms on my vehicle, was told it is probably due to hitting a rock while driving. The spring itself has already been recalled in the US, however Transport Canada has yet to issue the recall... so despite it obviously being an issue, Volkswagen 440 prefers to blame it on the customer.

Have been visiting this dealership since it's opening a few years ago, this is how they treat loyal clients. Avoid this place at all costs, even if somewhere else will charge you more.

I have bought 2022 New Tiguan and it was wonderful experience!! For more than 2 months, I have visited so many dealer shops and have met so many dealers, but I can say Complexe Volkswagen 440 is the best dealer shop ever! Mathieu, Audreane, Serge, Stephane, Hugo, Marc! I really want to write down how kind they were in detail but I don't have enough English skill for it. They were super kind, whenever I had a problem they did their best to help me out. Especially, Mathieu and Audreane!! I felt they were doing their best to make me and my wife satisfied, not to sell a car. I definately recommand this dealer shop!!!

It was my first time at Complexe 440 and I am not planning on going back. I called to book an appointment for an oil change for my 2015 VW Golf with 44 000 km and was quoted for around $100 (what it's coated previously at other locations). After I gave my keys, Flavio at VW told me an oil change is 212$+tax then I told him the quote the girl on the phone gave me he immediately reduced it to $156+tax. Guys, 212$ for an oil change??? Flavio didn’t even apologize or gave me a legit reason why he charged me that much initially.

They are not transparent with their prices, and I would suggest taking your business elsewhere.

I had a problem with my transmission and the part was back ordered. They kept my car in the garage for more than a month. But honestly, Stephane and Flavio were so nice in keep me posted and going above and beyond to get that part for me!! Their service made me forget how long I had to wait for the car, cause at the end it wasn't their fault, they were trying everything they could to get it as fast as they could to me. Purchased car as demo last June with 11700km. Inspection was supposed to of been done. In may brought car in for scheduled oil change and inspection no issues where found. In july when braking the car shakes and there’s a knocking sound. Today july 19 2021 brought car to vw complexe 440 to get the issue at hand looked at, they gave an estimate of 800.00 to change all for brakes. I put 11300km on the car since I have it. I drive it every day from work and back. This does not make sense that a car with that little mileage needs new brake. The service manager David Tremblay was not helpful at all and didn’t seem to care that he just lost to customers, he answered me (it happens). We have purhased to jetta's from there last year. The clerk at the front desk Flavio Greco had not one concern about doing anything for me. Very dissappoont how unprofessional they are. Never going back there again. Cannot give 0 star. The worst customer care.

I am writing this review few days after my horrible experience at this dealership to be as objective as possible because this dealership deserves zero stars, but unfortunately that is not an option. I put effort into writing this long review to help you avoid my experience so read on. Most importantly, dig deep into what they are charging you and ask about every dollar. They will advertise a price, promise you another price and then sell you the car for a price more expensive than both prices they gave earlier. They will also hide charges in the price they give you so make sure to ask for a breakdown if you still decide to go to their dealership after reading the following. I saw a demo car on their website, I called and emailed the sales representative who promised me in the email and on the phone that I would get at least $2500 discount on this car after I told him that buying a new one would cost me less than the inflated price they're asking for the demo car. Before setting an appointment to meet, I reconfirmed with the sales representative on another phone call that I would get the discount he promised in the email he sent me and he said yes come visit us and see it yourself. The reason I called to reconfirm before going to the dealership is because I do not have a car and I live 1.5 hours away by public transportation, spending lots of time and effort. When I went there, I did not get the price he promised me. Instead, he wanted to sell me the car for a price more expensive than what they had posted on their website. To get out of it, the sales representative did several back and forths to his director and came back with different prices and lots of numbers to make me get confused and lost in the numbers. Finally, the excuse he came back with was that the price does not include the extra driver-assist and winter package whereas the price posted on their website explicitly mentions that the price includes everything. What is worse is that he and his director were telling me that their numbers are eventually cheaper for me, when I asked them to show me on a piece of paper they tried to jot numbers on the paper to compare to my numbers and then said my price is actually cheaper. When I told them that they promised me this price, the sales representative said well yeah I made a mistake in my email. Worst part about it is he wanted to charge me for freight and surcharges because it is considered a new vehicle but he would not offer me the special offer discounts from VW Canada for new vehicles. They did not even try to offer me a ride back to at least show some integrity or repair their reputation. Finally, attached is a screenshot taken from the trusted website of autotrader showing how INFLATED their prices are, even a naive less experienced consumer would notice that...

After personally acquiring 3 vehicles from Arbour Volkswagen and encouraging my son and my girlfriend to also buy from Arbour I would think the company might want to retain me and my family. In December my son went for a problem with his dash and told the service department that it might be a fuse related issue. They proceeded to take a lot of time to check everything and called my son back twice to add time to the job and ended up charging over $600 for something that was fuse related. I called to complain and asked for a return call.......that never came. I called the Sales Manager Simon Beliveau with whom I dealt with for all purchases (great guy and certainly not related in any way to this complaint) and he assured me there would be a follow up.... none came. A couple of days before Christmas I stopped at the dealership gave my card to the sales manager at Complexe 440 he again was quite direct in assuring me that the general manager would get in touch with me but again still no call. It is a question of principle when a client has injected over $100,000 into the dealership and we are talking about maybe a $100 credit you would think there would be some interest. I will not buy my next car at Arbour or Complexe 440 and the balance of service on my present car will be done at any other Volkswagen dealership as I will try to find someone who cares about thier clients! I certainly will not refer any other potential clients either but Simon Beliveau deserves a better surrounding!

From mouth to ear, it's super easy for your reputation to go down. Definitely not a recommended place to get a car from. Witnessed a horrible service while they could've easily fixed it. Very disappointed with the poor solutions this VW offers to their clients. If you do something to their courtesy cars, they charge you immediately. But if THEY do something to your car while they're "fixing it", they'll find ANYTHING to blame it on the client for them not to pay.

UPDATE: CAUTIONARY TALE!! AVOID! AVOID!
After personally following up with the dealership (VW 440), the Service Manager Stephane told to me to service my car elsewhere, specifically at VW Lauzon because of my initial review (see below). After countless charges ($$) that VW 440 made to @VWCANADA, the problem only got worse. The burden of this significant monetary imposition has impacted ONLY myself (the customer) and VW CANADA. I have yet to experience such a disrespectful encounter and service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS:
By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The dealership has no value for their customers’ time. As an alternative, I would recommend VW Lauzon.
Moments after picking up my car from the dealership I noticed a massive SCREW in my tire and informed the dealership as soon as it came to my attention. They advised me to return to the dealer so that they can take a look at it. They did not want to take responsibility for the damage caused by the staff witch drove my car in order to understand the problem i had brought my car for initially.

Went in to see a used vehicle yesterday, and was told the used car salesman would be right with me. He seemed very enthusiastic about cold-calling customers instead of helping one that was there.

I didn't have an appointment, but there was literally two other customers there, and they were speaking with another salesman.

I waited about 40 minutes, the sales rep disappeared. Receptionists started drinking wine like it was no one's business. I ended up leaving without a test drive.

If ever there is a manual on HOW NOT TO TREAT A CLIENT, this is the place to go. Absolutely horrendous service!!! I can't believe that clients are being treated in this manner and are still allowed to operate. Errors on top of errors...misrepresentation and lies. To top it off, they hand you the bill with a smile even after insulting you. It is so sad to see that a great product such as Volkswagen, is being represented by such unscrupulous, dishonest people. I am all for businesses making money, but to steal from honest hard-working clients, with a smile on their face is just plain nasty and arrogant!!!!
