Worst customer service and a dealership that will not give you a break or deal on anything! You will pay through the nose shopping here. From my experience I would recommend going to another dealership if your looking to purchase a car. The sales people lie and zero ability to follow up. The sales manager could careless about your business. Offered me the absolute minimum on a Touareg TDI that was sitting outside on gravel for 3 years. I ended up purchasing an even higher class for much less money and got a larger rebate. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY HERE!

We purchased an Audi Q3 from this location. Our CSR, Ashley, was great to answer all our questions and assist us in everything possible to make us feel content. We also went back for our first service and was welcomed and greeted by Ashley again. The service advisors were just outstanding!! Though we are from Mississauga, we may go back to them for our next service as we were quite impressed from their customer service :) it might be worth the long drive.

3 weeks after getting my brand new car, I got a nail in my tire driving through a construction zone so I took it in to be repaired. I was greeted right away professionally and got straight to the point. You can really tell they care about their brand and it shows as you walk in. I had my consultant Andrew show up and ask me how I was doing and hows THE CAR. After a short wait they brought my car around and to my surprise sparkling clean.. They make me proud to be a Volkswagen owner. Thank you Volkswagen service team.

Everything that was done was completed properly, within the expected time frame, and for less money than estimated. I was surprised that when I arrived I was told that my car was due for a service I had no knowledge of. I agreed to go ahead and have it done as it would take the same amount of time that the regular oil change I came in for would but not the extra dollars. It instead would have been nicer if when I was called to set up the appointment, to have been told then, that the car was due for this service, the expected cost, etc.(as the person who called did have my file on the screen and mentioned my vehicles low mileage). Otherwise the service was good and I was on my way in under the time expected to be there.

I was scheduled for winter tire change and 15,000km check up on April 8 and I was told there would be up to a 2.5 hour wait which I was ok with. During the time the mechanic was working on my car, something went wrong with a device required to do the tire change, so it added another 1.25 hours to the wait. The Service Lead - Shinde, was very apologetic and kept checking in on me, providing updates on the status of the repair, which was much appreciated and demonstrated his focus on ‘service’ and clear communication. It would have been an even better end to this long wait if my car was washed before I left.

Andrew worked tirelessly with me to find out exactly what I was looking for and that's exactly what I got. He was extremely friendly and treated me with the utmost respect. Super helpful staff when booking in. Took my car in on time. They said they needed the car for 2 hours, I told them call me if it needs any work as I will probably just give you the go ahead. I waited for 2 hours 20 mins, no call. Turned up to find my car outside and cold. It must have been there for over an hour, maybe I will check my dash cam to see how long it was in the shop. I was told the car needed a new fuel filter and a right rear sway bar end link. I asked why I was not called. I was told sorry about 20 times, but it transpires they did not have time to do it, hence no call. All they did was a vehicle check. I now have to book it all back in again, waste another three hours of my day. Pretty sure I will use a different VW dealer who will value my time. So frustrated.

Refused to tell me the price of a car battery installation without me providing all my personal details, including my phone number and registration! I gave them the car make, model and year, and still they would not give me a price unless I provided unnecessary additional personal data. They wanted to look me up on the system, apparently...
I find this odd seeing as there is a set price for the batteries and labour...or do they "adjust" pricing based on how much they have (over)-charged you before? Edit: to the response from the staff member below..thank you for replying. However, I didn't just "hang up"...your staff member became very short with me when I questioned the need to provide my personal details. When I refused, she didn't want to assist me any further..she just said "well, I need it because I have to print out your details and hand it to the service team... " I'm not about to argue with your staff, so I said "thank you" and took my business elsewhere. JiffyLube actually helped me out with a new battery, without the need for all my personal information! Again, you don't need my phone number or VIN to quote me a price!

This review is on my experience with the "service" department. I called several times inquiring about getting service and the calls were never returned so I went elsewhere. I dropped by to purchase a touch up paint stick and none in my colour were in stock. I paid, and was told they would call when it arrived around next Tuesday. I received no call so I went in 2 weeks later to pick up the paint stick. While waiting in line, the lady in front of me was complaining about how she had called and emailed inquiring about an oil change and received no reply so she went elsewhere. Clearly this is a normal experience here. When it was my turn at the counter Justin first returned with the wrong paint colour with someone else's name on the invoice. I then waited nearly 20 minutes for him to try to locate the paint. I finally just called him back to the counter and asked him to stop looking and to return my money. Justin was friendly and polite throughout the whole process; the staff's demeanor is not the issue. However, there is clearly a real problem with the way this shop conducts business if they are too disorganized to return calls, or to handle the simplest of parts orders. There are many places offering the same parts and the same services. What sets a place apart is how they treat their customers and how they deliver on their promises. I would recommend bringing your hard earned money to a shop that cares; Guelph Volkswagen is not that shop.

This has been one of my best experiences with a salesperson.... EVER! Deepak Suri went above and beyond anything we could've ever expected and ensured that we were satisfied with all aspects of our experience purchasing our vehicle with him. He not only addressed our own concerns, but was transparent in bringing forth his own concerns to us... then remedying them in a timely fashion. Everyone else at the dealership was also very accommodating and friendly, especially with my family in tow (including a very rambunctious two year old). Overall, a first rate experience! My husband I recently went in to the dealership to look at a used 2012 TDI Touareg and it was lovely. Our salesperson was Shelby, and she was fantastic. She was very personable, and provided us with the opportunity to take the vehicle for a longer test drive to ensure that the money we would potentially be spending, would be 'well spent'

She was great with follow up after the test drive, helping us to book the appointments needed to move forward with the purchase, and even after the purchase was made. I have received a few calls from her following up to make sure everything is working well with the vehicle and to remind me about the complimentary check over that VW provides to vehicles once they have been on the road a few weeks.

We really did appreciated her attention to detail and lack of the traditional "sales push" that you see more often than not with a dealership.

In the past we have purchased our VWs from a dealership in Newmarket, but since moving to Guelph, we had our previous Jetta serviced there, so we figured it was worth going in to look at trade in values when the time came to get rid of the Jetta. From the time we were presented the first "trade in value" to the time we received the better offer and moved forward with the purchase of the Touareg, it was a pleasant experience.

I don't know any of the other employees there, but I would personally recommend Shelby, as she is both informative and courteous without being pushy.

One of the worst customer service experiences of my life. They "sold" me a car on Saturday evening and told me to call and set up a time to come back on Monday to work out the details. When I arrived at the scheduled time i waited 50 minutes to be told that the car was not going to be sold at the verbally agreed upon price. I then got my deposit returned. At this point they were apologetic and tried to find a solution. They offered to buy a car from Simcoe and bring it to Guelph for me to test drive. We then agreed on a time on Wednesday to test drive the car. When I arrived on Wednesday I was told that they did not buy the car from Simcoe. What a waste of time! I wish there was a zero star option. I suggest leaving town if you are looking for a Volkswagen!

This dealership deserves a pat on the back for literally being the WORST experience I have ever had with a dealership. I live in Guelph and drive to Cambridge VW to service my car because these people are so unprofessional and sleazy. Next to nothing the sales lady said to me held any truth to it at all, I bought a brand new Jetta and there were problems only a few short weeks later, they tried to turn everything around on me so they wouldn't have to take care of it under warranty, they kept my car while they "checked it out" and replaced a piece.. To which they didn't even end up replacing ( because the same marks were on it when I received it back after the work had supposedly been done ) they had me in a renal car while they took a full week to figure out what the problem was and then came after me saying they couldn't find anything wrong and I had to pay for the part "replaced" and the hours of work they took to figure out what was wrong, they then sent me a bill for my rental car that they said they would pay for while they took the week to basically do nothing. I had to get VW Canada involved. After my problems with the dealership I was venting to co-workers in the staff room & two more people spoke up and said they had a terrible experience with VW Guelph too. Cambridge VW has been my go-to dealership for any service/recalls that needs to be done. The staff there are very friendly and truly care about your experience. Once Guelph VW has your money, they couldn't care less about you or your car.

These folks put on a very nice show. They act very polite but have serious daggers in their eyes as soon as you question what is on the invoice. I have to say I never really believed the sleazy salesman stereotype until I met with the (owner) today . I had an unexplained charge on the service invoice placed on by the service manager and asked to speak with the head person. I was told he was not in and that I must leave or the police will be called. I called the dealership to leave a voice-mail for the owner and the clerk told me that he was in his office. The ASIAN owner called me into his office with a smile . As soon as he shut the door behind him he began to yell and threaten me. I immediately stood up and exited . He stopped me in the showroom & changed his tone and attitude immediately . He began to compare his dealership to a restaurant and that if I was not satisfied that I should try Toyota right nearby. The employees reflect the character of owner . The service manager is under commission. The more repairs VW Guelph does the more he makes. The employees are under immense pressure to squeeze as much money as possible out of you. If you do not take kindly to that either 1) do business elsewhere 2) prepare for a police escort . There is a saying you can put lipstick on a pig , but it is still a pig . These people believe in the all mighty dollar One more thing I dealt with the owner , not this employee who is responding to all the negative feedback posted online asking people to get in touch with him top sort matters out. If the owner himself is a crook there is not much any employee can do. I would name names but they had my original review removed. Also please be aware that the person who is responding to all the bad reviews promising to rectify the issue immediately if given the chance has only one intention. It is his job to create an illusion that they are desperate to make customers whole. If you truly care about your customers you stop posting these fake reviews and making these fake promises . Just start helping people when they are actually on premises instead of asking people to come back or call you.
