I called shortly before closing with a coolant issue and the service desk person met me at the door with a jug of coolant in hand and explained what he was doing and answered my questions. Order winter tires with steel rims Toyota ice recommended 16 Inch.
Had them installed Nov 9/23. When registering for rebate notice tires are 205/65R15. Called dealership now told steel rims they have are for the 15" that is why the tires are 15. Not pleased would have kept my original rims that where 15" out of pocket expense, wrongly advised very upsetting misrepresentation.

Bought my 2014 Jetta from this dealership in 2017. It was a no pressure sale, a good price, and I still have it. I would buy from them again.
Took my car here a few weeks ago. Checked the torque on the wheel they took off and it wasn't torqued back on. It was practically loose, the lugs mignt have had about 10 N-M on them. Had to retorque them myself.
I want to start by saying this is the best volkswagen dealership I have EVER been to. The customer service at this location is 10 out of 10 which is one of the top things I look for. Daniel is so kind and extremely honest and will help you out, he cares about his customers. I am so happy I found this gem. I will be a loyal customer here from now on.
Brought my daughter car here for occasional stalling and Service light being on. First time going here. After it was diagnosed, service manager essentially told me the car was done. Timing chain, turbo was gone, etc. essentially I should abandon the car and buy a new one. Crazy!
Took it somewhere else for a second opinion. New place suggested I change and flush the oil again, as a first step. ( low hanging fruit). Tried it and now the car is 90% better. The car did not actually need to be scrapped.
Really disappointed with the Alliston VW. Will never go there again and definitely would not recommend the place.
Not sure if this was a one off or not. They could have recommended to try the steady stuff first, not scrap the car.

Daniel in Service is just absolutely amazing. I called him with my car troubles in a bit of a panic a couple days ago, and not only was super sweet about it, but was able to take a look at it sooner than expected. He called me and explained everything to me.
I could not be happier with my first experience at the Alliston location. If I need anything I will forgo the Barrie Location and drive the 25 minutes to experience the excellent customer service I received here. I can't give this place enough stars for the customer service I received.

Purchased a vehicle from here used, added the extended warranty package. Rust started to show on my fenders, took it to VW dealer to get this fixed. They refused to correct the issue as the fenders had already been repainted. Why would I void my own warranty?

Great, some VW dealerships could learn a thing or two from Alliston VW in terms of quality of service. They check for warranty first before billing you unlike other VW dealerships in Barrie-GTA area. They go the extra mile here which is hard to find nowadays in dealerships
My wife took her car for oil change, after few days when i opened the hood to check the engine , engine cover was missing...called them next day, guy on phone laughed a little and said its not a big deal bring the car and they will put it on.
When they installed the cover..it was full of dirt ,did not care about cleaning it before putting it on brand new engine.
I hope the engine cover was only thing missing from engine .
Not a good place i think even for basic oilchange .

Mechanic broke my driver handle. They said I brought it in like that. Service guy and mechanic gave 3 stories that were all different. Basically lied to my face. They couldn’t get their story straight.
Mechanic said he noticed it right away and took note. That’s was a lie and wasn’t in the notes provided to me. Also when I picked up my car after my oil change I wasn’t notified.
Only offer they gave me was to fix it with a discount.
I got extremely frustrated and left. I’ll never trust them with a car ever again.
2019 atlas
I like the car the company not so much I asked them to do a weld on a flange they said had to replace the whole pipe and catalitic convertor would cost 1500 before taxes had someone else weld it 106.00 taxes in asked VW for a 50 cent clip for the front headlight of my car 900 dollars had to buy the whole light assembly went to wreckers pulled one off a VW cost my time. There crooks
Horrible customer service! Went in this morning looking to buy a 2021 Atlas. It was a ghost town. Besides a man at the service desk, we had to walk to the very back to ask someone. Turns out one worker was running late. We left and returned later in the afternoon. Again, not one person approached us when we were in there. I spent 20 minutes looking around until I finally seen someone come out. I went over to the man who was sitting behind his desk and asked if he was the one who was suppose to be helping me? He replied with ‘well what do you need help with?’ I told him and Peter said that I will have to wait a few minutes. Another 15 mins goes by and still no movement. There was also another gentleman looking at a vehicle and no one approached him either. When someone walks through those doors there should be someone there to greet them.

Alliston Volkswagen is the only place I will get my cars serviced I been a few other places near and far from Alliston . They do great work ,let you know what they are doing and why . It is always done right and usually quicker than you thought it might take .Great people highly recommend them from the front to the back office .

I purchased my vehicle at Barrie Volkswagen. I live in alliston so it’s easier to go to alliston Volkswagen, ever since though it’s been nothing but terrible service. The service communication was terrible as I thought I was bringing my car in to get the work done but the part wasn’t even in. Then when the part did come in it was shoved into a crate and damaged on the way to the dealership. I waited a few more days and during all this I was the one who called every day sometimes three times a day to get the status of the car as the communication lacked. After this moonroof frame was fixed and I had no more cracking sounds I was out of my car for a full week! If the part wasn’t damaged or the communication was better I wouldn’t have been outta my car for a full week. We spend 50K on a car the very least I expect is communication. My second experience was just as bad, never did they call me, I had to call them every time. The gentleman at the service desk had told me he had temporarily fixed my car and it would get to Florida (trip I had coming up) then that same day my low oil pressure came on again which was misleading information. I then brought it back the following Monday to get fixed fixed and he had told me that if this doesn’t work we will need to do an oil change to see if that would fix it as he thought it may be a filter or oil. I told him I find that hard to believe and I’m not paying for an oil change on a hunch that this might work when I just paid for an oil change a week and a half ago.. he then told me that if I want him to keep looking into it I had to pay 160$ and get them to do the oil change to see if that was it first. I had put the correct oil in it and had a licensed mechanic (master mechanic) do my oil change. I kept telling him that and he kept saying there is nothing he can do unless I go ahead with the 160$ oil change. I would expect over and above to get to a problem instead of making the “valued customer” pay for another oil change. If that didn’t work then what? I thought it was unfair and unprofessional to put a stop to figuring out my 2019 vehicle problem until I pay 160$ to rule out that the oil change from master mechanic was done properly. He called master mechanic and verified they put the correct oil in so I seen no reason why he even brought me paying anything up for. Best way I could describe this dealership is they are calm spoken and nice in that way but I wouldn’t ever expect them to go over and beyond for you. I would not recommend this dealership what so ever buying or maintaining. When I spoke with master mechanic they said buy a VW oil filter and we will put it in for free to see if that is the issue. That’s the customer service I expect!

I bought a 2019 Jetta from this dealership a few months ago. This was the 5th car purchase i've ever made, and the first one from VW, and I can honestly say that it was the most pleasant car buying experience i've had to date.
Chris was a very helpful salesman, and at no point did I feel like he was trying to pressure me into making a purchase, like i've experienced at many other dealerships.
When I had begun looking for a new vehicle, I hadn't really considered VW, and happened to come upon this dealership by fluke, but between the reasonable price and the fantastic sales team, I was won over.
If i'm still in this area when it comes time to purchase my next vehicle, i'll definitely be coming back to Alliston VW.
I've brought in my car to get some service done as well to buy parts and other stuff. The staff are very friendly especially the gentleman at the service desk. Definitely recommend. Bonus if you have kids they have a little play area in the for them.
Amazing service! The representative spoke french with me and even told me about military rebate without me asking. Very friendly and detailed information was given to me.
The mechanic was nice enough to let me watch him do the service on my car but he told me that he might be rude if i ask him questions because he wants to focus on his job...which is absolutly fine. I didn't ask him any questions 😆

they pulled a bit of a fast one on me with my purchase of a used vw passat. needed 4 tires for the safety and 2 of the tires they put on were old new stock (did not even have manufacturers date stamp on them) only found this out when I went to resell the vehicle.
I bought a 2015 Jetta tdi in june of 2018. Graeme was very helpful taking a trade in of mine which was leased from another province/ manufacturer.
I've since been in twice for scheduled maintenance. The last time I was given a loaner vehicle and told to just fill it up with as much gas as I use.
I've had lots of cars and have been to lots of dealerships, but this is by far the best experience! Both sales and service are great! Well done!
