Excellent experience despite the pandemic. When moving around from behind their desks, sales staff wore masks. They had up plastic visors. They had hand sanitizer available. Appointments are encouraged so there aren't too many people at once.

I had some recalls fixed and decided to get my car cleaned with the Gold package$$$, I’m happy with the shampooing of the carpets and seats BUT it still showing a lot of dust where the speedometer , odometer ect... is? I paid then received my car and rushed to work so I was not able to speak up unfortunately...I will never pay so much ever again to have dust still in my car , makes no sense

Purchasing a new vehicle could be a very stressful experience, considering all the offers out there.

I went to this dealer on December 31, 2019. I was interested in the Toyota 4Runner TRD in white with yellow fog lights. I was told this vehicle had never been to an accident by the salesperson. That they would offer me an interest rate of 6.99%. I thought they were crazy, I told Mike, I was offer a much lower interest rate at another dealer. He said ok,”let me talk to my manager.” Tricks of the trade, then I said. “Can I take the vehicle for a test drive.” Mind you, I live in Toronto, and since I was visiting a friend in Montreal for the holidays, I thought I would stop by this dealership quickly. Once the vehicle was outside turned on heating up for my test drive. I took out my code scan reader in front of the salesman. His jaw dropped and demeanour changed rather quickly, from confident to worry some.

The front end of the car was very loose, sloppy for a beast of a vehicle like this. The wheels were slipping in very little snow outside. I though that was weird.

Then I told the salesman, upon coming back from my test drive. you know what!
2 very dangerous codes came up from the cars computer. He replied, “it was this or that one correct? And that the problem was from a raise suspension. “He has no idea what he was talking about.”
I said no not at all.
He replied,” then please tell me what they are so that our mechanics can erase them correctly. “TERRIBLE AND MALICIOUS PRACTICE.

The lesson here, is not to erase some problematic codes but to fix the problem this car has before it is sold to a potential buyer. That way the client does not have to deal with some expensive repairs he was not aware off.

Very shady practice from this dealer. I will not be buying a vehicle here.

I am truly disappointed with my last two visits at Toyota Spinelli Pointe-Claire. I have been servicing my véhicule with them for many many years. I brought in my 2002 Camry two weeks ago and did a full inspection in the car. There was some knocking noise coming from the front.

The service advisor called me and said it was my front links that needed changing and nothing else was mentioned that would potentially cause that noise and all would be good after the links change.

I told them to proceed and when I picked up my car later that night, surprisingly the noise was still there. When my service advisor said my car was ready for pick up and noise was fixed, why was there no QC performed? The mechanic obviously didn’t take it for a test drive and assumed it was fixed.

Last week my starter died and had the car towed to Spinelli Toyota, so perfect timing to verify the knocking noise as well.

I changed my starter and now another service advisor said since my car is so old, the noise could be coming from my shocks, bushings, shock supports, holes on top of my suspension plates, etc.

What i don’t understand is, if this is the case why was this not brought to my attention the first time when I paid for the inspection? If I had known that paying to fix the links may not solve the noise and I may need to spend lots more money to resolve the issue, I would not have said to do the links and live with noise as I am just spending endless money for an old car for nothing. I would not have changed my starter as well which was over 700$.

This advisor stated they have to start at the links first to eliminate the noise. REALLY? So if I have an infection in my stomach, I would have to remove my working spleen first to see if the infection goes away?

By the way, I also changed my suspension two years ago with them.

I sent an email concerning my frustration to the service Manager and his reply was “did the service advisor not show me the inspection sheet?” I replied all he told me was the links needed changing and I would be good but we all know that wasn’t the case. Obviously I was not shown the “ inspection sheet” they “allegedly” have and if they did have it why was I told it was only my links that needed to be changed?

In addition, my invoice states knocking from links, links replaced and good to go.

Again I paid almost $500 to not resolve my issue plus I paid for the inspection I never had. After I replied to the service manager, I never heard from him since. He only replied to me by email and never even bothered to call me to speak with me directly. Nice customer service!!

I will be reaching out to Toyota Canada to express my frustrations. Like I mention, I have been a loyal customer at Spinelli Toyota. I even spent over $4000 at the beginning of the year to fix some other issues and now I am beginning to think they are just changing parts that don’t need fixing and charging customers.

For this particular case, links changed with $$$$ down the drain but the real question is did I really need to change them in the first place? I think the sound got worse after the change.

I used to be extremely happy with Spinelli Pointe-Claire Toyota but now it went from highly recommended to avoid at all cost. Don’t make the same mistake I did and bring it to this dealership to get ripped off.

Called Nov 14 for an appointment for a calibration. Appointment given Dec. 6 at 7:00am. My 2017 Corolla LE was first car in garage. Told Chris (person replacing Michel) Customer Rep. who verified car appointment details on Dec. 6 for a Calibration (Pre Collision camera system & Lane Departure) that I have a terminally ill Mother at home And required to leave by 9:30am. Chris assured me it would only take 1 hour.for the calibration. Between 7am until 9:30am Mechanic/ technician did not fix the issue and was not happy Chris was B.S. that Mechanic was almost done which was not true. Worst is that now on my dashboard I see messages “Pre-collision system malfunction Visit Dealer” and “Lane Departure Malfunction visit dealer “ constantly appearing which I did not have these messages entering this dealership. Very poor quality customer service when Chris was informed of my request that I required leave by 9:30am which gave them 2.5 hours to fix my car and they did not. Worst experience with a dealership and I have been a 3 Time loyal Toyota car Owner. Will be asking for my monies back as they charged me $114.86 for incomplete work of not fixing my car.

Put my car through service there and had asked them to look at a chip in my windshield to see "if" it could be filled, I had specifically never gave any instruction to follow through with anything as I wanted a quote on how much it would cost beforehand. I left my car there in the morning and returned after hours to pick it up. When I entered the car I needed to take a double take, as I was almost positive I was in the wrong car because there was a crack running from one corner of the windshield to almost the other end that had no relation to the chip I had asked them to LOOK at. Also, the chip had been touched and was poorly filled in. MY mistake out of lack of experience was leaving the lot with my car in this shape (as I figured there was nobody I could talk to because the shop was closed and I needed the car to get home), but my integrity of what happened was affected as once I left the lot. This happened to me last summer and I have never returned because I was so unhappy with what happened. Thought I would share this for others to be aware.

Worst day in the morning!!! First time in the history I experienced such a thing! Wasted my time! Wasted my gas! Had appointment for car wash today and when I arrived I was told they don't have car wash on Saturdays anymore. Was so disappointed, wasted my time and my gas and all I got was "we are sorry, the guy that accepted the appointment probably did not know because he was a part time". I do not care whether your employee is part time or not! Management and employees should have a clear communications between departments!

Staff told me to reschedule on weekdays and can only send me via their limousine in west island area. WOW! what a convenient to say which I am from Montreal!

I went to 4 different Toyota dealerships between St Leonard and Pointe Claire and Toyota Spinelli pointe Claire has the best employees and customer service!!! They actually greet their customers, offer them water or coffee. Very warm and welcoming. OK- I have been a customer of Spinelli for a few years, but they never fail to impress. This time it was even better.
How is this ? - a week ago I thought about getting a new car, I went and spoke to William the sales rep, he showed us 3 options: high, mid and low price and a variety of features from economy driven to sportier.
no hard sell, pros and cons - explained in as much detail as we wanted or he thought we should know.
Angela greeted us like we were lost family, the receptionist was great and helpful throughout.
We chose a car after a second quick visit, and George took us through the options and finance side, no hard sell, clear and easy. Fast efficient, no problem.
They helped us arrange an optional GPS navigation system we wanted - all fitted in less than 48 hours, an anti theft tracker, the plate and insurance.
Finally, less than six days after walking in the door , Steve the delivery manager took me through the whole deal and the paperwork and I drove away a great new car yesterday afternoon.
No fuss, friendly, no hard sell, a great dealership, every time we have been to them.
