UPDATE: After sending a message to management via their website, I received a call from Sales Manager Jamie. He said their had been staffing changes and was apologetic regarding our situation and said that he would do what he could to help. Management agreed to pay up to $135 towards a hotel stay the next time we came to the city. We traveler to Thunder Bay, received the 2nd FOB, and Wayne Toyota stuck true to their word and sent us a cheque to cover the hotel. I would consider shopping for our next vehicle at Wayne Toyota, but next time ask more questions to make sure that everything was arranged and finalized prior to leaving the city. Rating upgraded to 5-stars once again.
UPDATE: We were promised a second FOB for the vehicle when we purchased it, but were not provided with all of the details at that time. About a month after our purchase, we were told that the second FOB had been lost by staff and we would be required to travel 350 km to receive a new one. I have had difficulty receiving a response from the sales representative with respect to our concerns, but am hoping that management will be communicating with me on this matter soon.

My children and I traveled a few hours from home to shop for our next vehicle in Thunder Bay. Wayne Toyota was the second dealership we visited in the city, and our experience there was very positive. The atmosphere was comfortable, relaxed and inviting. On this particular day, staff were hosting a charity BBQ in support of Ronald McDonald House. We didn't have an appointment, but we were kindly greeted and assisted in a timely manner. Our Product Advisor, Michelle, was top notch. She was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. She was very respectful of our input and our time, and her attitude was positive and courteous. Michelle helped to make us feel very much at ease when testing vehicles, asking questions, and making a buying decision. The General Sales Manager, Ed, sat with us and provided valuable information about the vehicle we were interested in. He was very friendly and easy to talk with, and he took the time to answer any questions we had. They were able to work out a satisfactory sales price and give us decent value for our trade-in. Once we made a deal, Jolene in Financial Services looked after all of the details in a professional and friendly manner to help make the transaction smooth and easy. After we returned home, Michelle's courteous follow-up communication made us feel appreciated. We have owned and loved our Toyota vehicles for years and years, but we had not been to Wayne Toyota prior to this purchase. This dealership made me feel proud to be a Toyota owner. I highly recommend Wayne Toyota as a dealership, and I recommend that you meet with Michelle if you are looking for a positive, low-pressure buying experience. 5 STARS!!!!!

Poor service. Almost like a taillight warranty once you buy your vehicle your put off to the side. I love my tundra crewmax but dislike the atmosphere here. Was lied too about a servicing and a rotating my tires twice never again to do business here.
Be advised: When you take your vehicle in for something simple, like a basic oil change, you may get surprised with an unexpected cost for another item (like a headlight bulb, for example). That's what just happened to me. The cost to replace the bulb effectively doubled my service bill.
When I questioned whether or not the bulb was actually burnt out (it was working just fine 12 hours ago), the tech had already removed the existing bulb--AND HANDLED IT--touching the glass surface and getting grease on it...thereby rendering it useless (it's a halogen bulb). Now I have no choice; I must replace the bulb. Not cool.
As a loyal Toyota customer for the past nine years, I've come to expect a more professional Toyota Service Department experience than I've received here in Thunder Bay today.
UPDATE: When I mentioned my frustration to the cashier while paying the bill, she was quite sincere in saying that she had never seen or heard of anyone in this service department deliberately pushing a customer to replace something that wasn't broken. In fact, she indicated that's why she works there; because that type of deceptive behavior does not happen.
So maybe it is just a coincidence. Maybe my headlight did in fact burn out on the way to the oil change. If that's the case, there is room here for quality improvement: The service advisor knew this was my first vist to the dealership. Both he and the tech had the chance to make a great first impression in building my trust by letting me see for myself that the headlight was out. Today that was a missed opportunity.
