Always a great experience with a great crew. Morgan, Brad, Laura and Rod have always been great to deal with over the years weather it was buying a new car, purchasing accessories for one of our Toyota's or going for routine or in the odd instance non-routine maintenance.

Thanks for all that you do.

My family and I including 2 toddlers, my wife, a dog and cat were travelling from Ontario to Alberta to relocate our lives. We own a 2020 Tundra with only 55,000km. A loud squealing sound started to come from the front end of the truck, around the serpentine belt (fundamental component of the vehicle). We pulled into this dealer on April 20th around 11:45am simply to see if the vehicle is road worthy to cross the prairies, as I'm no expert and not willing to take a risk with my family. The service rep was abrupt, rude and wouldn't even step outside to listen to the noise to help advise us if this is a major concern, or a common occurrence. We were simply looking for advice on whether to proceed or take the vehicle off the road and completely change all our plans. All we received was "we're booking over 2 weeks out there's lots of shops in town". It's a $70,000 truck still under warranty in a rather unique situation. Luckily, we made it to our destination to be received with open arms from another Toyota dealer in Alberta the very day we arrived. The tensioner and timing pulley were ready to fail any minute. If we broke down in the middle of the prairies, with limited cell reception and in a massive snow storm, this dealership would have had a massive human rights issue on their hand. Very entitled, zero effort given, people need to be aware.

As always, I had a great experience at Bayview Toyota. My purchase of a 2022 SR5 Tundra was a seamless transaction. Morgan was an amazing salesperson, and my interactions with Brad and Laura were easy and agreeable.

The service department is always pleasant and easy to deal with, and continually work with my schedules for pickups and dropoffs.

I have always recommended Bayview to anyone looking to purchase a new OR pre/owned vehicle, and will continue to do so.

Always an easy, pleasant experience.

I purchased a 2022 TRD Pro and I have had nothing but excellent service. Morgan was awesome to deal with as this was my second vehicle I purchased from her. The service and parts department were extremely helpful. I purchased winter tires on recommendation from Josh and they got me in right away to get them on. Would recommend them!

Service Manager ran out of his office while I was explaining issues needing service on my Tacoma, related to prior failed work from a frame recall conducted at another dealership, to tell me "Well, don't bring it here!"

I have had service issues with warranty repairs resolved at Beaverton Toyota, for a frame recall conducted at a dealership in LA; any issues with how to deal with funds were between the dealerships, not me and the dealer I brought the truck to. People should not be restricted from seeking service on their Toyota vehicles based on where they live or where they had to move to, but this dealership thinks that's the case.

Service on a Toyota CAN be conducted at alternative dealerships, there are NO POLICIES AGAINST THIS, but this particular dealer is not interested in providing service as a Toyota dealership, and instead hides behind a fake shield of independent ownership of Toyota dealerships, which is NOT the consumer's fault that Toyota decided to have each dealership be independently owned. The fact is that we bought a Toyota, and they fly a Toyota banner, and need to provide service to Toyota vehicles.

They lost a new truck sale that day as well, which I intended to buy as part of our fleet.

Just bought my first new car! A 2023 RAV4 LE. Morgan Potvin was amazing to work with in finding a car for me! Helpful, quick response time, caring and went above and beyond for me as her customer. Laura Duguay in finance was also super with the finance process and made the buying part a pleasure. I highly recommend Bayview Toyota if you are looking to buy a new or used vehicle.

I had to take my car in unexpectedly while on a trip and the service manager Rodney went above and beyond to help me with my car and coordinate with my home Toyota. Thanks to him we were able to enjoy our trip and get home safely! Not to mention it would've been a huge expense had he not stepped in to help us out. If you ever need somewhere to take your car - go to Bayview Toyota, you're in capable hands.

Bottom of the barrel, service manager treats you with contempt, and will go out of their way to make sure you know your existence is an inconvenience..
Their business model is arson, pathetic for a brand build upon longevity and reliability.. Buy a new car or get out, is pretty much the long and short of it.. Avoid.

lol, if you put half as much effort in-store as you do at mitigating damaging reviews online you might not have this issue..
took longer to have a brand new battery installed by a tech(warranty requires a tech to install) than it took for y'all to respond to this, and it's after hours..

shoot for the moon

We had such a great experience shopping at the Kenora Toyota dealership. Morgan was such an amazing sales representative. She was quick with her replies, upfront and honest. She was very welcoming and warm to deal with. I never felt like I was being tricked, taken advantage of or sold something I didn't understand. The rest of the staff was very helpful as well from financing to the service department. It felt like home shopping here. I highly recommend shopping here and this product. We are very happy. Thank you again for the great experience!

I can’t say enough about Bayview Toyota, both the sales as well as the service. They go beyond what any other dealership has ever done or have attempted to do. I feel like family when I walk in there. As we are a family of four, we all drive Toyota’s and they have all come from Bayview Toyota. I never look anywhere else, because there is never a reason to....best in the business. Glad I am part of their Toyota family!

We have had excellent service since buying our Highlander, dealing with all departments at Bayview. The service department has gone the extra mile to make sure we know what is going on with our vehicle every step of the way. The work is done quickly and professionally ensuring that everything is done correctly, we have never had to go back for any issue, or a new issue associated with an old one. Our next vehicle will be definitely be bought here as we feel appreciated and enjoy dealing with all the staff.

Since buying my first Toyota at Bayview, I have always been impressed with their service. Mike and Brad are amazing to deal with and with their product knowledge, they helped me find a vehicle that meets my needs. Rod and Wendell in the service department are also great. When taking my car in to get serviced, they always work around my schedule to fit me in. I highly recommend Bayview Toyota if you're in the market for a new vehicle.

Recently bought a Toyota Tundra from Mike at Bayview Toyota. The entire experience was professional and courteous right from the start. The transition from trade in to final purchase was very open, honest and hassle free. The staff took care of everything. First couple of experiences with service department have been nothing less than amazing. They even cleaned my vehicle on my first trip. What a great surprise.
It was not a difficult decision to buy from Bayview. Its a locally run business that donates back to the community in so many different ways. It pays to support local, and to a great family run business. 5 star rating for service, sales, and overall experience. Get in and see them, you will not be disappointed.

REPOST- it shows the integrity of this establishment when they flag my review because it’s dead on about this place and it gets taken down! Bayview Toyota you are the laughing stock in the Toyota dealership world!

Not sure what to say about this place....I felt like I was in another country asking basic questions and getting the “deer in headlight look”
I first asked about ordering a supercharger pulley for a Tacoma...the service lady had NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS? Wouldn’t look on the computer for the part and told me I had to contact mcphillips Toyota to get the part number? Is the Toyota parts system in kenora different from Winnipeg ? I then asked for 5 quarts of oil and a filter....she tells me that they don’t carry synthetic oil ??? How does a Toyota dealership not carry synthetic oil? (Que the twilight zone music) Then brings up 2 different filters and asked “if these look right?” Cause she couldn’t verify what one I needed? I didn’t realize there was such vast spectrum of filters that fit a Tacoma with a 4.0L engine...
At this point I was giving the deer in headlights look...said forget it and walked out! Why is this Toyota location so backwards? I’ve owned Toyota’s for 20 years and every other dealership was always able to help me with basic parts...all I can say...this place is an absolute joke and the management should hire people with some knowledge of the field they are working in!

Whereas majority of the staff is very knowledgeable and polite I was stuck getting a ride back by service advisor Wendell Alcock who was very disrespectful towards my coworkers thus family, stating that "the worse possible people in that place of work, are the ones working there" It took a lot for me to bite my tongue as there was another customer getting a ride as well.
I will drive to a Winnipeg dealership instead, thanks but no thanks..

Sales:
The Sales Department has never been anything but outstanding and accommodating. They have been helpful, knowledgeable and always tried to make their customers happy. In fact I have purchased 3 different brand new Toyota's at this location in my fleet of 5 Toyotas.

Service:
After several experiences with these guys I must say it was some of the worst human interaction with a business I have ever had. The service guys generally act grumpy, get mad if you question them, always complain that they are too busy, check your car in before lunch and then leave (even when they know you're in a rush and waiting right there).

Today topped the cake for me. I phoned them yesterday to ask if I can bring in my Venza to have the light bulb changed. They said sure, they would squeeze me in. I took my Venza there (more than a two hour drive) to get the headlight changed (HID lights are not supposed to be changed by the operator according to manual).

They took my car in for 45 minutes then drove it out of the shop unfixed. They told me the bill is for .9 hrs (impossible to work 50 minutes in a 45 minute time frame). Not to mention I was there the whole time and 10 minutes of the time the car was int he parking lot, when i checked into the shop nobody was looking at it).

After 45 minutes they retired the car to say that I need a new lightbulb... that it will cost $300 to order and they don't have one in stock. I have no idea what they did for 45 minutes to determine I need a new headlight since I brought it to them saying "I need a new headlight". They change the $0.50 fuse which I already told them I changed and it keeps blowing because the light is blown. So in effect, they took 45 minutes of my life (plus 4 hrs of driving , 2 there and 2 back) to tell me i need a new lightbulb, which is what I told them to change int he first place.

Then they give me a bill for $121.25 to tell me exactly what I already knew when I dropped it off without actually fixing the reason I brought it there. This is fraudulent in my opinion. They billed me for 50 minutes when checking the headlight and fuse is a 5-10 minute job for anyone. Second they could have saved me the bother when I called by saying something like, "oh, we don't stock those headlights".

This is nothing more than highway robbery. I am so disgruntled I do not plan to return to this dealer ever. My apologies to the sales department, you do a good job... but the service department stinks

Think twice before having your vehicle serviced at Bayview Toyota in Kenora.

What do you think was I taken advantage of? Should I have had to pay for the service?

On a recent trip I had the “oil light” indicator light up on my Sienna. Pulling over immediately I could smell burning oil and on inspection found there was a steady oil leak. I called Toyota Roadside Assistance, who were very friendly and helpful, and had the van towed to Bayview Toyota. As it was Sunday I left the van at the night drop-off and would follow up the next day. After not hearing back, I called Bayview Toyota late Monday afternoon. They said it was “in line” to be repaired and was informed the leak was related to a recall due to the engine oil cooler pipe. The following day I was contacted that my van was ready for pickup.

After driving back to Kenora from Winnipeg, I went to the service area and was informed there was a charge of over $100 for oil, inspection, and cleaning supplies. After explaining to the service manager that I felt there should be no charge as this was due to a recall, I was informed that these are the charges I am responsible for. I explained the recall indicated there would be no charge for the repair. He did agree to remove the inspection and cleaning supply charges but was left with the oil charges to which I was told to talk to my home dealership about.

This is the information found on the “Limited Service Campaign”

“Vehicles can exhibit oil leaks due to a variety of reasons which may not be related to the Engine Oil Cooler Pipe. If your vehicle exhibits an oil leak, Toyota, at no cost to you, will inspect the vehicle to determine if it is related to the Engine Oil Cooler Pipe”

And

“If you have previously paid to have the repair performed on your vehicle due to this specific condition, please contact your Toyota dealership for reimbursement consideration.”

I was aware of the recall but my dealership said I could wait until my next oil change to have the recall service performed.

So what do you think was I taken advantage of? Should I have had to pay for the service?
