Seventeen years ago, my wife and I bought a new Corolla from Funk's. It served us through 359,000 kilometers, and we always brought it to Funk's excellent service department for basic maintenance. When normal wear and tear finally suggested to us that its days were done, we have now bought our next car from Funk's. We have nothing but the highest praise for Chuck, Jeff, and their associates in the Service Department. The same goes for Helston Sales, who guided us in the purchase of our Venza. Helston was patient, thoughtful, and helpful in his dealings with us. Everyone whom we have dealt with, at Funk's, have consistently treated us as persons - as regular human beings, rather than simply a source of business income. Even though we live in Winnipeg, driving out to Funk's in Steinbach is definitely "worth the trip."
After looking for a specific vehicle in Wpg we checked Steinbach and got the best deal. Excellent explanation of vehicle. We dealt with a salesman named Yuriy. He was very open, honest, professional, engaging and responded to all our imaginaires. We outlined what we wanted in the vehicle and there was no pressure or upscale on things we didnāt want. Purchased my new 2023 RAV4 hybrid a month ago and the process was a breeze. I only had to wait a few months even though other dealerships claimed that it's going to be more than a year to get a hybrid. Guess I was lucky!

We have been dealing with Funks Toyota for close to 30 years and have bought five new vehicles from them. While I will say the perfect dealership does not exist, Funks is probably about as close as it gets. We have always gotten exceptional service from their sales and service departments and are treated like family whenever we visit. Recently I took my 05 Tundra in for a timing belt replacement, water pump, and several other maintenance repairs. They provided me with a loaner vehicle, and had all the work completed and my truck ready to pickup the next day. The parts and labour costs were very reasonable considering all the work that was done. My 05 Tundra still, looks, drives, and runs like brand new. I highly recommend anyone looking to buy a Toyota or service their vehicle to visit Funks Toyota.
There are no official Hyundai dealers in Steinbach, and driving to one in Winnipeg is a hassle. I asked around and got multiple referrals to Funk's. I have been happy with their staff and their service. Mostly standard checkups, but there was one problem with front end that they caught that explained what I had been sensing, and the fix seemed reasonably priced. Will definitely continue going there, and maybe trade in on a new Toyota in 2023.
I took my car to funks Toyota hoping a small independent dealer would not try to swindle meā¦.. my car had intermittent issues with staying running at idle progressing to not starting and otherwise runs and drives perfectly down the highway and does not burn any oil between oil changes!! funks service told me I had to replace the entire engine in my car to fix the issueā¦.. this is completely wrong and is just trying to take advantage of a customer that doesnāt know any better! Iām disgusted with this experienceā¦ had there been any need to completely change out the motor in my car Iād be burning oil like crazy!
I have now purchased 4 vehicles(most recently 2022 Tundra) in the last 15 years from Funk's Toyota and will definitely be buying my 5th in the future from Funk's. My purchasing experience has always been great. Peter, Kelly, Rick and Ray have been excellent and encourage everyone I know to deal with them. The Service Department(most notably Bob and Chuck) over the last 15 years have been top tier and have always treated me with respect and the quality of work also proves why they are top tier. The knowledge of products and respect Funk's has for their costumers proves why I continue to make Funk's my choice of dealership.

Went in for an oil change and a recall, took longer than I was under the impression it was supposed to take. When I expressed this concern to one of the mechanics (I believe his name was Bob) he took it upon himself to comp the entire oil change out of his own pocket. Always great service at Funks regardless of the situation.

If I could give 6 stars I would , dropped off vehicle New Yearās Eve (Friday was closed) owner drove by and due to the freezing temperatures brought it inside until they re opened Tuesday . I called Tuesday morning at 10 am and they already had assessed & fixed the problem.
Upon pick up of my vehicle it was freshly washed and ready to go.

Picked up a new Tacoma last Friday. Worked with Ray who was great, and later with Kelly completing the paperwork. Ray went out of his way to find a truck configured how we wanted it, as I know trucks are hard to find these days. The offer for our trade was reasonable. Was looking to purchase a brand new vehicle back in October of 2016. After contacting all of the Toyota dealers in Manitoba, I had narrowed it down to Crown Toyota in Winnipeg and Funkās. In the end, I went with Funkās because of their transparency and openness when it came to the deal - the salesman at Crown (a nice enough guy) offered me a āpossible discountā whereas Amanda was straightforward with her competitive pricing right from the very start. Moreover, Amanda was extremely helpful and kind throughout and I always felt like we were working together to meet my goals - different from sales folk in the city looking to meet their (sales) goals.
Whereas other dealers in the city are concerned with their own priorities, Amanda and the entire Funkās team went above and beyond, helping me track down the exact trim and colour for the vehicle I wanted, finding the exact tires that I wanted instead of the OEM, responding to many of the other questions, concerns, and requests that I had, and much more.
Itās been more than six months now and Iām here on my 2nd service trip for straight-forward maintenance. The Funkās team still continue to impress.
