Guess I'll be going to another dealership for my oil changes from now on.

I purchased a vehicle from the dealership out of desperation. I was looking for a vehicle I could commute to and from school and work with starting in August. I had missed my chance with other cars and then I stumbled upon Markham Mitsubishi.

I visited the dealership twice. I went in June of 2020. At the dealership, none of the employees were wearing PPE. I checked out the car and decided to test drive it. The sales associate hopped in the back and usually I have no issue with an employee coming for a test drive but was different. I took the car out for maybe 10 minutes. I could only drive on residential roads and make right turns. I had no clue how the car drove over 60 km/hr, which I needed because most of my commuting is on country roads or a highway. Once we returned to the dealership the sales associate asked "how did you like it" and I replied "for where I went it drove like it should". He then ushered us inside.

Now this is when I truly gained my distaste for the dealership. Again, no one inside was wearing PPE. The sales associate spoke to me about the car like I had no idea about anything when in fact I had just completed an 8 month research study on electric vehicles (which I informed him of after his third condescending remark). Once we sat, the sales associate immediately said "so how are you going to pay for the car?". I was kind of offended that he assumed I loved it so much I would just hand over all my money. I retorted I would like to speak about the price and some of the issues with the car. He said 'what price are you looking for?". I returned with my answer and he said "if I can get my manager to agree to X price you guarantee you'll buy the car?". Again, no. I was frustrated that my second statement about issues from the car had been overlooked and I was asked to guarantee my purchase without negotiation. I felt like I was being underhanded and thrown around. I told him I am not agreeing to anything and he threw back he can't approach his manager without a guarantee. I said no and then he went and offered my price to his manager. He returns and says he can either give us $300 off the sticker price OR a $200 amazon gift card. At this point I was angry and tired of working with the dealership so I walked.

I returned in late July when I saw the price dropped and I missed out on another car. I contacted the dealership online and the individual I communicated with, Junior, was FANTASTIC. He answered all of my questions, gave me honest answers, and did not make me feel forced in any decisions. I decided to go back to the dealership and hope I got a different sales associate. I had no such luck.

I arrived at 9:55 for my appointment at 10. The sales associate was running late (totally understandable) and when he arrived (without PPE) I took the exact same test drive route, and then returned. Once back at the dealership we went inside and the gentleman this time was much nicer. He was less condescending and more open to my questions. Once we settled on a price I was promised the car would be checked and serviced. I asked for the coolant to be flushed and the sales associate said he would check on that and I left.

I returned 2 days later to pick up the car. I paid and as I was going to leave I asked about the coolant. They did not complete the coolant flush. I was told it was not necessary for safety and therefore did not need to be done. I was frustrated but at this point I was over dealing with them.

Once in the vehicle on my drive home I would hear a random beeping and it was an alert saying the wiper fluid was low. When home, I checked the tank and it was completely empty. It took an entire jug to fill. I was so disappointed that buying my first car was so subpar and disappointing. I would not recommend a friend nor will I return again no matter how desperate I am. Go somewhere else and save yourself the dissatisfaction.

Pros: Junior, they had the car I wanted
Cons: No PPE, bad test route, rude customer service, did not listen to my questions, condescending, poor-negotiation tactics

Yesterday i called in to inquire for replacement breaks for my 2015 Mitsubishi lancer which i was happy to purchase at Markham Mitsubishi back then. I was passed on to 3 different person than the last person i talked to told me he will call me back. He never did so i called back to inquire again the next day. Spoke to a person on the phone, very disappointing conversation. First i told him what happened and yet no apologies coming from him. Second, not very pleasant to talk to over the phone. The one thing i like here before is good service , friendly personnel and better deals which i did not get . I guess not anymore.. At the end just ended the call disappointed. I was a customer for many years and also purchase my car here. Never experienced this bad service before in Markham Mitsubishi. I was planning to purchase an SUV here since i got my car Lancer but after this unpleasant experience . Not a chance..

Response to owner: I appreciate the quick reply . however I did email Mr.khan general manager unfortunately as expected no response coming from him. I guess Markham Mitsubishi lacks hard word and professionalism. No appreciation with loyal customers.Anyways don't want to waste anymore of my time, its obviously not worth it. EDIT - in response to owner: no, there has been no misunderstanding. I have told Jackie almost 20 times very clearly that I wanted to cancel the warranty, how could there be a misunderstanding there? He kept lying, omitting information and stalling. At least take responsibility for your employee's actions, don't blame it on a misunderstanding. I'm sure that he is a great salesperson when everything goes smooth and customers don't question his tactics, but if a customer changes his mind, you HAVE to respect his choice.

REVIEW: I am mostly dissatisfied with the financing manager, Jackie Ng. I get that these guys work on commission, but he is way too insisting and keeps telling blatant lies and omitting information. He pushed for many useless, expensive add-ons (including tint for a car that was already tinted) and I let him talk me into an extended warranty because the deal wasn't too bad. Also, I told him I preferred a specific bank over the others for financing, but he went ahead and decided the bank without consulting me.

The problems started as I changed my mind about the warranty the day after buying the car: he started making up all sorts of lies to prevent me from cancelling the warranty. First he said that financing was already submitted and he would "check with the bank manager" and let me know. I did not hear from him for a couple of days, then I called him again and only then he said I could cancel the warranty within 30 days by calling the warranty number. A honest salesperson should have mentioned it from the very beginning rather than omitting it.

When I picked up the car, he was not there and neither the warranty nor financing documents were provided to me, so I had to ask another employee to print them. I waited about 20 minutes, so they were clearly not planning to give them to me. I wanted to be 100% sure as they had lost my trust, so I called the warranty number with another employee and was told that the dealership has to cancel it (which means that Jackie lied - he boasted that he's been doing this for 30 years, how come he doesn't know that they have to cancel it?). I left with my new car and the day after I started calling Jackie multiple times a day. All the while, he kept telling me to keep the warranty for two weeks and see how it would go (as if I can "evaluate" a 4-year warranty by keeping it for two weeks) even though I told him to cancel it at least ten times and I clearly expressed how badly I did not want it. He kept making up vague excuses about financing, so I called Mitsubishi's warranty number and they said he was lying as he should be able to cancel it right away. When I called him out on his lies, he became extremely rude and finally cancelled it (took about 1 minute of his time). He was clearly trying to stall so he could keep his commission. Finally, he told me the cheque would take 2-3 days but it took over two weeks.
I can only imagine how such an awful person would take advantage of someone more vulnerable.

On top of this, the entire sales process was disappointing. The salesperson was nice and made sure to help me by providing all the documents I requested even though she was very busy, but unfortunately she had a thick accent and I had to ask her to repeat herself many times. When purchasing something for tenths of thousands of dollars, I think it is important to understand every single word and it was pretty difficult with her. The detailing was also very poor: the seats were still soaking wet and they left dealership flags as well as a dirty plastic bag in the car. Crevices in the car were still full of dirt and residues. Basically, it was done in a rush and poorly. Lastly, the employees at this dealership do not seem to communicate with each other. I had to repeat the same things (which car I wanted, when I was coming to pick up the car, etc.) several times to many different employees.

I had the privilege of working with Sales Consultant Farahaz Asmal and General Sales Manager Al Hashimy at Markham Mitsubishi. My wife's car broke one week before our first born child was born late last month. After many weeks of research we eventually agreed that a Mitsubishi Outlander was the car for us. From the moment I met Farahaz and Al, I was greeted professionally, my questions answered articulately, and always felt very comfortable and welcome.

I ended up returning to Farahaz days later to look at the Outlander GT (which we ended up purchasing), and again he took his time, made sure I understood all of the features, the benefits, and the risks. He took his time to review the car's history with me, honestly breaking down every maintenance file on record, detailing the meticulous care this vehicle had undergone.

When it was time to buy, both Farahaz and Al worked with me to ensure I got all the features, warranties, and extras I needed, and perhaps more importantly, that worked within our family's budget! It was an excellent experience throughout, and I will be sure to recommend Farahaz and Al to all my friends and family looking for a new or used car.

We already have our eyes set on the Outlander PHEV, and in a few years time, I hope to work with Farahaz and Al again in getting that vehicle for our family too!

I bought a 2016 Toyota Rav4 Limited Hybrid from Markham Mitsubishi about 3 months ago.  I was told by the Salesperson the vehicle had no record of accidents and according to the car history report they showed me.  Not until I found puddle of oil stains at my parking spot and brought the vehicle back to Markham Mitsubishi for service because it's under their 90 days warranty, they said the oil leakage had something to do with the hybrid system and told me to bring it to Toyota for service since it's still under the manufacturer's warranty.  The Toyota technician said the leakage was caused by a loose drain plug which is most likely negligence of the previous service technician! I was also told by the Toyota technician that several parts of the vehicle had been fixed before due to previous accidents as well as the front camera mount which is broken and now mounted with a zip tie! I was really upset and disappointed on this matter and think that Markham Mitsubishi is not an honest dealership and will never deal with them again!一間不誠實的車行

I was sold a service so called certificate for 899$ tires and rims coverage never used the service my vehicle got written off in an accident I asked them to refund the money at least partially they said call the third party service providers when I called them they said the ( certificate is non refundable ) it seems like they sell certificates not services completely fraud high strategy sales technics once you signed on the papers boom you are done make sure to read everything before signing.
Worst experience of buying a vehicle ever I still owe on that car manager said he will get back to me nobody got back to me.

Wanted to buy a specific car from their dealership, got confirmation for appointment on Friday for Saturday morning. I have specifically let them know that I’m traveling from far and to notify if anything changes. Saturday morning, before heading out, I checked their website and it was sold. I then called asking about it and indeed was sold. They have failed on notifying me which is very disappointing. I had 2 other friends wanting to buy from them which now they won’t because of their poor customer service. The guy I have spoke to apologized and said he will investigate and let me know if they can come up with a similar vehicle. I will keep you posted about their follow up and come up with an updated review in 3 days.

This was the WORST experience dealing with a car dealership I have ever had. They are dishonest, bullies and rude. The general sales manager Al Hashimy and Farahaz the salesperson were the most demeaning and intolerable people I have dealt with. DO NOT BUY A CAR from this dealership - their business practices are completely shady and they have absolutely no customer service. They refused to give me back my deposit after showing up to view the car to find a three foot scratch below the door. The salesperson nearly tried to fight me on the sales floor. I will be contacting Dilawri to ensure they are aware of the practices of this horrible dealership!

Consumer Alert... the service at this Dealership is very disappointing.. in fact when I bought my 2018 Phev outlander alot of the staff had little to no knowledge about this vehicle. I was dealing with a sales guy by the name of Rafsan. When I had called him to inquire about the SSID number he had no clue as to what that was and referred me to look through the owner's manual. With no luck there I had made several other attempts to reach Rafan, finally just giving up on it. Fast forward to my first service app for oil change with service Rep AJ in May/14/19 . I was told he would look into getting me the SSID number from head office and have it mailed out to me. Ok great ...... so I though ..... 3 weeks went by and of course no SSID number.
Called him back June 11th and he wasn't sure what was going on and would have to call me back. June 12/19 still no word I called the dealer to speak with his manager (Felex). He told me that he would look into this matter and contact me ....... with no word from Felex I called to now speak with General manager as I was exhausted dealing with a lack of knowledgeable staff . I left a msg on June 14/19 with reception Jesica and have yet to be contacted by the general manager. I would strongly advise you of purchasing any vehicles from this Dealership because clearly they don't value there customers.

What a fantastic experience. The whole team here was very genuine, helpful and friendly from A to Z. This was my first time buying a Mitsubishi (Outlander PHEV) and I hadn't quite settled on which vehicle to buy either from here or another brand, but the sales team especially Jackie and the Assitant Manager Justin were so great to deal with. They were especially very patient in dealing with me while I brought my ten month old son to all of the visits to this dealership. Sorry for spilling Cheerios and blueberries on the floor! This was my sixth car deal (all six being from different brands) over the last ten years and this one was among the top in terms of customer service. Does not return emails or calls. My father received a recall letter for some work to be done in 2016 (?) and each time we schedule an appointment, he is told that the part is not available and that he will be contacted when it is. We've since got more recall letters and no work has been done. It's 2019 now....excellent service. I honestly, have no idea why we decided to buy a Mitsubishi. Terrible experience.

I got a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander a couple of days ago from the dealership. This is the third Mitsubishi I have purchased. The reasons I come back for that same brand are the supreme quality of the product and the reasonable prices. When I came back this time I could not recognize any familiar faces, but a salesman called Ken Lee came over and showed us exactly what we are looking for. He also explained to us every detail feature of the product so well that we do not need to take time reading the user manual after. Yesterday my picky daughter took a drive with the new car, and she was so amazed at the performance of the vehicle and the price we paid. I can understand that the 2014 Outlander is not as good as a brand new Mercedes SUV, but I am not paying the same price as a brand new Mercedes SUV either. As a typical consumer, I want to get the best product for the least money that I have to pay, and I think this dealership is the place that I can achieve that.
