We recently brought our 2016 Mazda CX5 GT in for a whining noise in the transaxle. We were given drastically varying quotes ranging from $2700 to $14,000. The service manager was rude and condescending, the repair took 6 weeks longer than we were originally told, yet payment was asked for immediately upon completion, which happened to be while we were on vacation 3 provinces away so we would not be picking the car up for another week. We were asked to make the payment over the phone via credit card. The total cost came in above the final quote, we were billed for a part we provided to them, although they did adjust the bill when we pointed it out to them but to top it off the repair did not come with any warranty. Loved the car but definitely not worth the money considering we had to completely replace the transaxle at 140,000 km., and especially since we bought the vehicle used in 2020 and only put 60,000 km on it ourselves. We actually sold the vehicle back to them and walked away. This entire experience has turned us off from owning a Mazda now and for the foreseeable future. Would definitely not recommend taking your vehicle in for service if you have to deal with the service manager.

I brought my car in on Tuesday evening, as they said they could look it over on Wednesday. Explained what was occurring with the vehicle and what has been done to this point. (Idling rough, jumping up to 2000 rpm on its own) They still did what I told them had already been done. (Changed spark plugs). Charged me $300 and the same day, had to call back to say the problem wasn’t fixed. Now I have to wait until next week to get it back in. No rental offered so that I can continue to get my students to and from work.
Now a friends husband, who is a licensed mechanic is going to look it over (again) before returning to this dealership. This is not the first time I’ve had issues with this dealership. They seem to insist on doing work that is already completed and charge you for it. It’s beyond frustrating! I bought my car here in 2018 and aside from the purchase, it’s been nothing but issues with the service department.

BALD FACED LIARS. When I bought my CX-5 I was quite dubious about purchasing the extended warranty. They managed to allay my concerns by swearing the warranty covered everything front to back. It wasn't cheap $2000. Here I am now at 4 years 85,000 km (the" warranty" is for 6 years 160,000 km.) and my driver side leather seat is shot. I'm now told Mazda Leather Seats are only designed to last 3 years. Also now my rear hatch latch is not working and I am told its 50 50 that will be covered. I really hate it when someone appeals to my desire to trust (because I want to live in a world where you can trust) and then uses that to con you face to face eyeball to eyeball. Disgusted. Do better Highway Mazda, how you treat your customers is what determines their "loyalty" when they are in the market to purchase a new vehicle. Very disappointed.

Today I made the trip to Steinbach after much researching of the new Mazda 3. Met Darrell for the first time after briefly talking on the phone with him earlier to confirm the car I had in mind was still in stock. Needless to say it was a fun experience dealing with him, he was very knowledgeable about the car and very respectful of my wants and needs.

In the end I honestly felt I got more car than I hoped for, and for less money than what I had expected to pay. Not only do I consider Darrell a great salesman but I picked up a friend in him as well.

I bought a car in April of 2015 here at Highway Mazda ( a 2014 Mada 3 GT w/luxury ) and now I want to trade it in at a different dealership and they are telling me that there is a $8,000 car proof on it that Highway Mazda never told me about and now my trade value went way down. And they told me the car was in new condition. Not a good place to go.
