I was put in touch with Scott Jones, owner of West Coast Mazda, who sincerely apologized for the handling of this simple issue. He has taken tremendous steps toward rectifying what happened. They are fixing the car at no cost to me and reimbursing me for the costs I incurred while stuck in Kamloops. I have also received a personal apology from the person mentioned below (I agreed to remove his name as a means to rectifying the situation) and feel that hey have gone above and beyond to fix an incredibly stressful and high-emotion situation.

I encourage everyone to deal with Scott Jones if you can.

[redacted] at West Coast Mazda spoke down to me and told me to “listen” when I tried to argue my case. Never ever go here.

[redacted] claims it takes hundreds of thousands of deadly or potentially deadly incidents to get parts recalled.

Only concerned with their bonuses, I’m sure.

Went to [redacted] to deal with a catastrophic manufacture defect in a car they sold my husband and I. He tells me tough cookies. Your warranty is up. They say it’s a used vehicle (we bought it at 2 years old) and despite the “certified pre-owned” stamp of approval (an up charge) they cannot guarantee the state of the cars reliability. All over a $400 fix. This wasn’t a warranty issue. Absolutely no sympathy whatsoever that my husband and I could have gotten into a major accident. He tells me to call Mazda Canada. They won’t even answer the phone. Says he would call 2 days ago. Still hasn’t called. So much for customer service.

good service in the past, interest in client satisfaction faded away in the last two years, if another option for service exist, recommend to take-it.
I had the car serviced for 2.5hours payed $798CAD and took home a severe scratched front bumper from the inattentive service technician. Not sure if the dealership is interested to fix-it, so on top of the service, I have to pay for repaint and scratch removal.
Not a good one this time, one start is too much!

While I have taken my Mazda here for years the recent visit for service did not impress me. When I walked through the front door all the staff where staring at their cell phones. Really felt like I was an interruption.

They saved us from a nightmare experience. We bought a "new" Mazda3 at another dealership that came with a bunch of problems and defects. After returning that one we decided to quickly check out West Coast Mazda like 10 minutes before they close. Anthony was able to get us the identical car, free of defects of course. 2019 CX-5 GT Turbo. Had an updating Navigation issue with the SD card. It was eventually deemed that the card had gotten corrupted during the update process. Request (by service department) to Mazda to replace under warranty was agreed very quickly. Took only 2 days to resolve, replace and get up and running again.
Only one minor issue - WC Mazda, you really need to do some significant work on your 'Referrals' web page! Call me if you want to discuss.
Otherwise, very happy with everything so far.

The snowy weather brought cancellations in the service department. I called and they rearranged appointments and I was able to get my car in a day early. Everything worked out due to the kind staff starting from the really nice service driver who took me home and brought me back to the dealership. I had such a good experience at West Coast Mazda, From start to finish.
I was looking to upgrade from my 2018 Mazda 3(which was also bought from West Coast Mazda) to something a little more spacious.I was lucky enough to have help from Brenden and Deborah. They were both very knowledgeable and helpful to try and get me into the right vehicle for my needs. The whole process really from start to finish was without any headache or stress from financing to driving my 2019 CX-5 off the lot. Brenden was very thorough in going over all the new features on the vehicle. It's a shame you can only give 5 stars because they defiantly went above and beyond. After everything I will continue coming here for all my car needs and I would recommend West Coast Mazda for all your car needs.

Service department to not so much , needed to being back for a repair free of charge then turned into a bigger repair it's now been 7 days they've had my vehicle and still won't be done till Monday very unimpressed my vehicle should be some what a priority seeing as I just bought it yes by the end I will have waited 11 days for my repair to be done I will never be bringing my vehicle back 😠

The staff is always friendly and helpful, the prices are reasonable and they are always honest and fair. I am very pleased with the service I received from Mazda.
When the check engine light came on I made an appointment but it ended up going off on it's own. The service counter said to leave and come back if it comes back on.
A month later it was back on and I was able to get in the next day.
I was happy with how kind and fast the service was. It is never fun to have car repairs but I was pleased with West Coast Mazda.

I'd went to WC Mazda even though there is a dealership 5 mins away from my home. I'd met Anthony who was down to earth to talk to but also was very professional. After doing all my research, I'd told Anthony all that I needed from him was to get an agreeable price on a 2018 Mazda3 GT. I knew what I'd wanted and how much I was willing to pay including all fees and taxes (excluding licensing fee). In less than 30 mins, Anthony and I had an agreement to which both of us were happy with. On the day of delivery, I'd met Juli (Fin. Service Manager) who was pleasant and easy going like Anthony. She was informative on the other services (extended warranties...) the dealership or Mazda offer but was not pushy when I'd declined. There was a little disagreement on an unexpected fee (I assume all fees were included on the final price) on the final contract but Anthony and Juli corrected the misunderstanding quickly and without the "attitude" I was expecting from past experiences with other dealerships. Overall, I'd enjoyed my interaction at WC Mazda. From start to finish, it took less than 2 hours of my time to get my new car. I would come back if I decide to get another Mazda and take the 35 min drive from home just to get this kind of excellent service.

Great trailer hitch, the mount for the flat 4 pin connector is a nice touch. This is the only hitch I have seen this on. The hitch tucks neatly behind the bumper with only the hitch receiver showing . It took longer (1/2 hr ) then the posted amount on there web site but still only charge me for 1 1/2 hrs. At one time while doing the installation, there 3 techs working on the it.

I recently bought a new 2017 Mazda3 Sport GS, and the whole process was wonderful. This was my first ever car purchase, and the sales rep Anthony was super nice and answered all my questions wonderfully. I never felt taken advantage of and the price of the vehicle was spot on.

I shopped around online, and by phone and had never stepped foot in the dealership until I was ready to buy. When I got there, my new car was waiting for me, and they even had a bow on it! A nice touch, made me feel like a valued and appreciated customer.

The entire staff, from the receptionist, to the financing person was great! Would definitely shop here again, and will be referring any friends and family looking for a car here in the future.

I bought my 2013 Mazda 6 there more almost a year ago. I am extremely satisfied with the vehicle, which was, if anything, undersold by the sales rep (any other dealership charged a lot more for similar vehicles). It performs extremely well. I was treated very courteously by every member of the staff that I've dealt with. The car had been fully detailed when I bought it, spotless inside and out (they even cleaned the engine compartment!). When I pointed out a few scuffs and scratches, they immediately took the car back in for a few re-touches, at no extra charge. They also handed it to me with a full tank of gas and all my fluids filled up. I am also very happy with their service department, and am taking my car to them for regular maintenance, despite them being very far out of my way. They always clean the car after they service it. I recommend this dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a Mazda.

I bought my used 2011 Mazda 3 last summer and dealt with Alty, who I was referred to by a friend.
This was my first experience buying a car from an actual dealership and I felt like I wasn't given any B.S, everything was explained to me (Which is important because I am a girl buying a car, and we usually get taken advantage of) the price was fair, and they were fast and efficient with the paperwork.
When I got my car it was spotless and everything was done and serviced. I have had no problems with the car yet. Alty & Brad treated me well and I appreciate that.
I went back in yesterday for a service and Jose and the rest of the service team were amazing. Everything checked and when I got my car back it was washed, clean inside and out.
I will always go back there for my servicing and future vehicles.

The reason I purchased my vehicle at WC was because they gave me a better price and deal than other dealers. Simple. I like bargains. Also, I had a warranty issue early on in the game. This required a tow truck. I could not have gotten better service. Tow truck there in minutes and when I got to the dealership a courtesy vehicle was waiting for me.
