My wife and I had a fantastic experience dealing with Harris Mazda. Initially, we were not looking forward to the process of buying a new vehicle as it can be stressful, exhausting and overwhelming. These worries faded away as soon as I met Dan Chernyahovsky at Harris Mazda. Dan is incredibly friendly, personable, and knowledgable all without being pushy. My wife was set on buying a different brand, but when she came in for the test drive and met Dan, she was convinced that Mazda was the right fit for us. Dan went the extra mile and drove our new car all the way out to our house in North Cowichan which was greatly appreciated. We also want to give a shout out to Manager Jon Spong for being so helpful in working out a great deal for us, and to Brent Beadle for being a pleasure to work with as well. All around we had a great experience with these guys, and we absolutely love our new car. Had a pretty miserable experience overall. The guy I talked to was nice at first, but once I was apprehensive after my test drive that all disappeared. The salesman was incredibly rude and pushy, made snide comments in front of co-workers (In which they laughed with him about them at my expense), and was rather disrespectful towards me overall.

"The friendly factor" is something they tout all over their website, while having "Treat others the way you want to be treated" in big bold letters across a wall inside the dealership. Yet they treated me like garbage. They're nice when you're interested, but pull a 180 the moment you're unsure.

I was supposed to get a call back from someone else to follow up on another vehicle, but they never returned my calls and blew me off entirely. They had every chance to try and make this right, but the follow through on the promise to do so never materialized. Absolutely unacceptable

I had a good experience here. Brent was up front about the vehicle I was looking at, provided service records, inspection report, and carfax. I was not rushed, had plenty of time to drive and examine the vehicle. We landed on a price that was reasonable for both parties. I purchased a used Mazda CX 5 and took it on a 7+ hour roadtrip the next day. What a fun vehicle to drive. Handled the curves and speed perfectly. Heated seats were an awesome creature comfort. Love it. I left the dealership with a smile on my face.

Unfortunately, very poor customer service. We purchased a used vehicle and the sales manager came across as rude and disrespectful. Our concern was brought up with the manager and not much came about. Furthermore, our Out of Province Inspection failed and when the mechanical issue was brought forward to Harris Mazda, they agreed to pay for the repairs. The repairs were completed, paid for and when the bill was forwarded to Harris Mazda for reimbursement they avoided responding to our emails and voice messages. They never followed through with the reimbursement and sold us a car that failed an inspection. This leads us to be believe they do not stand behind their product and/or they are not concerned with customer service once they close the deal and have their money.

Really choked about my most recent experience. Though I love my car and the initial sale was a breeze (obviously), the service continues to go downhill at the dealership.

One of the new women in the service desk struggled to find me and my car in the system, fair enough- not too unusual with new staff. It got sorted and they took it in for regular maintenance. When I return for my car I'm told my REAR brakes need to be replaced. On a 2017 vehicle! She expresses that I NEED to get them replaced before a big family trip... I pay my $250 for the service and promptly take it elsewhere only to find out my brakes are FINE.

The (slightly) funniest part of the entire experience was that when I called Mazda to have my future 'brake replacement' cancelled, my appointment wasn't even in the system!

I do not know whether the staff member still had the wrong vehicle or if they were truly trying to scam me. Either way they've lost a very loyal customer and all her friends. This will also be reported to the BBB.

Though the initial experience of buying my vehicle from Harris Mazda was a decent one, every visit and communication since has been awful. They told me when I bought my car that they had winter tires stored for me an do could just call to get them anytime. So I did, and they had lost them. Someone also said that they might have sold them. Every time I asked they would look into and never call back. When I spoke to a manager he said because it wasn't in the papers it wasn't in the deal. Fair, but it should never have been mentioned in the first place. They then tried to sell me tires for $1700 - a real deal. March last year, Doug told me they found them, and I asked to pick them up, and never heard back, and again in October. I do not recommend this dealership at all.

I remember having my car in for service and I had to go to work, when I arrived there to pick up my car it wasn't done.. Derek raced over to my car and helped wash and then bam ! I was on my way to work. Another time, I got home from a long day at work and grocery shopping. It was raining out and when I got out of my car, my door wouldnt shut, something had bent and prevented it from shutting. . I was frustrated and upset and called Mazda... I had no idea what to do. Anyways, the lady from the service department, I cant remember her name, helped me through that entire experience!

It did not turn out to be right for us but it was great that he brought it to my attention. He showed a lot of enthusiasm and willingness to answer my questions. If you want the best service and hands down the best vehicle money can buy go to Harris Mazda Nanaimo and see the Adams Obakpee the Tall Guy- he will go out of his way to make sure that you get the ride that's best for you! They are very pet friendly and go way above and beyond to make sure that you are a very satisfied client. You can call or text him anything he will always help you out- hmmmm I wonder if he dog sits too???? lo - he probably does.
Also Robert Kirinic in Financing is fabulous- he makes the paying part as fun as it can be. I would recommend you guys to all my family and friends- go see these guys before you purchase a vehicle else where!.
