Be careful of their service department.

I went and did their over priced service. Knowing it was overpriced but convenient for me. They also decided to inspect my brakes. Told me they were 2mm and I needed to change them asap. It would be $500+ to do so. I told them I would wait.

Little do they know I also work at a car dealership. They inspected my brakes, I'm at 5mm and 6mm front and back.

I understand its winter and tire season is done, and business can be slower. But there is no need to flat out lie and scam people.

From this point forward I will go and recommend others go to a different kia. Sad because my purchase experience was very different

I would have considered myself a loyal customer at West Toronto Kia, but after this afternoon I will be taking my service to another location, and would strongly advise anyone else to follow my lead.

Service costs arbitrarily increased without proper notice to customers. When issues brought up the response is "that was the decision of our new manager'. To give context since coming to West Toronto Kia there has been a rotating door of new service representatives, managers, and other reprenstatives working at the dealership, with policies and procedure constantly changing.

After coming into the dealership on Saturday for their 'promotional sales event' I decided to get the oil changed. While there i was told I would have to pay to repair a slight tear in the car door weatherstripping, which in my opinion should not happen to a car on a 3 year lease with 50k kilometers, rarely driven in winter, and parked in a heated garage.

There is so much I can go on about this dealership, but there are other Kia dealerships in town that are more organized, and provide a much better level of service. In addition, the dealership is in dire need of upgrades, and there is limited selection.

We drove one hour to this location today for our service appointment at 6pm and the shop was closed, (hours had changed and no one called us.) This on top of a terrible sales experience earlier in the year where one of their salespeople sold us a car that didnt exist and tried to charge us more money for a different model after the fact. This review is on their workshop, not sales. I had gone to this place with my (used purchase) 2010 Kia Rondo when its brakes had started locking up. I did some online searches and found out that some Kias had common problem with brake switch (behind the brake paddle). They told me to leave the car with them and they'd get back to me the next day. I was glad when the shop called me the next day and said they were going to change the brake switch which would cost around $150. I gladly gave them the go ahead. Then an hour in, the same day, I got another call from the workshop asking me if I had any warranty on the car. I told them I had some warranty package and they told me that they had looked at it again and it was ABS module issue, which would cost $4000. I checked and found out my warranty didn't cover abs. They still said I'd need the abs module. I drove my car out, decided to Google again and ended up at a third party workshop. Their mechanic took the car for an hour to run diagnostics and told me it needed a new brake switch. A new brake switch was put in and the car has been fine since. I waited long enough to give it time, to see if it was really something else. It has been 10 months since the new brake switch was installed. No issue. It cost me $160. I had gone to the manufacturer dealer with the hopes that I wouldn't get a run around. Do your research, get a feel of the mechanics and managers talking to you, see if their stories are changing, and definitely try multiple mechanics! I like my used Kia and my next car will very likely be a Kia too, but I'm not going to this place if I ever buy one.

Bad experience at service desk. Had to pick up parts. Arrived at 8 am as advised but the parts guy was running late. Not knowing which desk to go to i was met with much attitude at service desk. They were inconvenienced to Answer questions and help me. Worst kia i have visited. Parts manager kris is amazing and was helpful through out the process. Suggest looking at your service guys and teaching them customer service.

Service have been declining since 4 years ago when I started.
This past March they did a service o my car and something was not well done so the car was doing funny noise.
Last Friday I took my car for service (again) the person that did the service didn't add any fluids just reported they were low also reported that I need to change the tires 🤔, I changed the tires 2 or 3 weeks ago so all the 4 tires are brand new...??? I'm losing the confidence on this place. I go there because the car still under warranty.

I brought my second-hand 2015 Kia Soul here because the seat warmers were not functioning properly.

I purchased this car from a different Kia dealership.

I started by calling the dealership. The receptionist booked a service appointment with me and explained I could leave the car the night before.

I brought the car in and a salesperson, Jeff, took my key and information on behalf of the service department (because I got there after they closed).

Domenic got back to me the next day (happened to be Wednesday) to tell me that the warmer could be fixed and that it was under warranty, which made me very happy indeed!

The part was delayed and I didn't get it repaired until the Monday of the following week. That's a bit annoying but they were upfront about it and that's something I appreciate.

I was able to drop off the car after hours on Sunday, which was fine. The only problem with this is that the weather was sleeting and the mailbox with the envelopes had both frozen shut and somehow the envelopes got wet. The pen was not working (because of the cold I imagine). Lucky for me I had my own pen and managed to provide the information. Maybe a better mailbox is called for?

One other thing: this location is about a 10 minute walk from Gunn's loop so if you're taking transit, you can either wait for the infrequent 189 bus. Hailing a cab around there is not reliable.

I brought a used car with 1 year warranty and the deal with the seller was brake pads and rotors replace and after a couple months my rear brakes start to make a grinding noise so I bring the car back and after the check the mechanic told me that the rear pads was old aftermarket and not new original as we Concorde. Unfortunately I must write a negative review about this location, which is a shame because I had a great experience in 2010 when I bought a brand new Soul there. 3 salesmen played me this week (especially Cameron and Brandon) when I was interested in coming to test drive a used Soul for my mother. First bad feeling was when I arrived at a scheduled appointment to view the car when I was told it was "away for detailing". Why wasn't I called before wasting my time going there if the vehicle wasn't even present?? Okay, fast forward to the next 3 business days when the vehicle was supposed to be back from getting detailed in the afternoon (which now I don't even believe this story - the vehicle was probably in the works of already being sold) - I called and was advised the vehicle was sold "10 minutes ago". I mean, I called each day, Cameron was very aware I was interested in this car. They had my name and number. I should have been contacted as soon as the car was "back from being detailed" (lies). I can't believe the horrible customer service from this location. They are in the business to sell cars and I was the one chasing them down? Unbelievable. Don't go here unless you want your time wasted and to be lied to.

This location has definitely taken a turn for the worse. When we first got our Kia I told everyone that this would be our dealership for the rest of our lives in Toronto.

Since then (in just three short years) they have become the WORST at customer service and do not communicate with the client. On my visit this time they got me to agree to work that cost an additional $600 only to tell me AFTER confirming the work that I could have got it done anywhere I wanted for far less.

What is even worse is that they are 100% not women friendly. Each time my husband comes he gets better service than me (albeit the service he gets is still bad!!!!) and even on this trip after they “spoke with my husband” they gave us a $100 discount.

As soon as our lease is over we will not be coming back here. Best of luck to a dealership who doesn’t answer the phone, call their customers when cars are ready for pick-up and admits to being exponentially more expensive than any other option. Perhaps all of this would be ok if they treated me with respect, but they never, ever do.

Edit: New staff, less friendly, and unwelcoming. I was told to google another Kia because they can't accomadate warranty work within a reasonable time frame. I.e. from one week to a year later. Additionally, they display a lack of confidence in their technicians which lends doubt to quality of work ratified by the fact that this is a return visit due to an inability to complete previous work. Moreover, the manager does not have concern about whether their employees are adequately trained or not. The first encounter was with a customer services representative that couldn't locate my file by name on the first 2 attempts and then wanted to take a picture of the VIN to do so. Finally, on the third attempt of spelling my name, my account was located and all of the issues with my vehicle were forgotten. The manager displayed a similar lack of disregard by not recording any of my vehicle concerns and decided to call me rude since I had asked to speak to him despite his presence during the 10 minute turmoil of pulling up account information and explaining vehicle concerns to no-avail. Rather than addressing concerns, they blame customers for their lack of availability and will tell you to go to another Kia to be accommodated sooner.

TL:DR; save yourself the trip and visit another dealership for warranty work and/or just don't buy a Kia to save yourself the hassle.These are now terrible people with terrible attitudes.

Edit 2: Many other reviews about West Toronto Kia indicate the service departments lack of aptitude in diagnosing vehicle problems. The majority of the positive reviews involve people buying vehicles where the experience is intended to be chiefly positive as that's how they make the majority of the money except for one person that put a down payment, drove 2 hours, and found out the vehicle was sold. Therefore, even when selling is intended to be positive, their greed comes before the concerns of customers. The poor quality of service is most observable when dealing with West Toronto Kia for warranty work as this does not generate revenue.

Edit 3: [Written within same hour as Edit 1] I was able to book an appointment for the following morning at 8am at another Kia dealership and, as a bonus, they have confidence in the ability of their automotive service technicians.

In 2009 I bought a Kia Rondo. Decent enough family runner. Whenever I had issues with it, under warranty.. the service area could not diagnose the problem.. i research myself in internet forums.. would find the possible fix.. then argue with the service manager named John to have them at least look at what I discovered it might be. After finally agreeing to try my suggestion..lo and behold...it got fixed. (Air conditioning clutch in this case).. fyi KIA cars aren't that bad.. it's the dealerships that are miserable. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP.

I took my car in this morning for 4 separate KIA recalls. West Kia completed all 4 in a very timely fashion and were able to accommodate my work schedule by arranging a rental car for the day so I wouldn't be left without a vehicle. They called me as soon as the work was completed to let me know the result of the recalls as well as their general maintenance check. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend this dealership.

Hands down - one of the most honest dealerships out there! Kudo to Adolfo!

We've all had our fair share of negative experience at dealerships and third party repair shops. But these guys are incredibly courteous, helpful and most importantly honest. They communicate clearly and are upfront about what needs to be done. And they will work with you as much as possible to see if your warranty does cover some of the costs.

I've only had the pleasure to interface with Adolfo - and he has been nothing but great. Keep it up and I will continue coming in!
