Corey was fine to deal with. When you lay out what your bargaining chip is and they come back and say I will meet you in middle. $500 is not meeting in middle when dealing with expensive machinery. Manager clearly is not willing to budge. If on the market I would not visit this location.

Just got a truck there 6 month's ago love the tuck customer service was great with Jeff who sold me the truck...went in today for my second oil change to find out my brand new truck with 27.000km needs new tires cuz the Goodyear tires are junk and apparently don't last long should not be putting new tires on it already not happy about that and mite not buy another dodge because of it...

Disappointing Service...Made an appointment days in advance, Knowing/advising what was needing to be fixed on my vehicle. Upon dropping it off a little before the scheduled appointment time for 8:15am, the day of. They asked if I needed it back for a particular time of day, I advised them that I didn’t, and could pick it up at the end of the service day. Just after 2:30pm I decided to call to see how it was coming along or if they may have finished the job. They had me hold for a few minutes, only to let me know they were just in the diagnostics stage for checking the problem, and they call me back once they knew what was going on. I knew then I had wasted my time taking it to them. They call me back about 15 minutes later to advise me what was wrong with the vehicle, which I had already told them the day I called and made the appointment, along with confirming, telling them when I had dropped it off to be serviced! They also said two of the parts needed to be ordered, and one would take about two weeks to get in. So a waste of a day and time for nothing.

I called and arrange with a local garage later that day, and they were able to get the parts in and repair it three days later.

Seems HCDJ is only good for recalls, oil changes, installing accessories and warranty work!

I only heard bad reviews from others who went there, telling me not too, for repairs outside of warranty work, only to be able to confirm it for myself.

2013 Caravan didn't last 7 years!
We bought it new, still have a year and a quarter of payments but not a working transmission :(.
If you want to buy a Dodge, factor in $5000 extra for a new transmission. Then go buy from a manufacturer that makes a decent transmission in the first place.

I received a really poor service while ordering a duplicate key. I first received half of the price details. Eventually they were kind enough to offer labour on this very expensive service. Then, I think they forgot to place the order but told me that supplier were short in goods which I do not believe it due to what happened later. I eventually received the key 3 weeks or more later. When they call to book an appointment to get the key programmed they would not book for a Saturday morning and insisted that I should come weekdays from 9am-5pm and that there was no other option. I argued that I could not so that because I was working which is when things got crazy with their Service manager named Kevin Hart. He told me that I should not have lost the key in the first place! So, Kevin was literally giving me lecture when people losing keys give them business. And then, he blamed me because I already wrote a review in google for the other Ram dodge location in Halifax which had nothing to do with what I was trying to get sorted with him... He eventually told me that he would make a technician coming ONLY FOR ME on a Saturday. The conversation did not go well at well because Kevin thought he could teach me life but was not getting what he wanted from me the Customer. I eventually got a call back from their department who confirms appointment and the nice lady over the phone confirmed that they always offer this kind of services on Saturday too.... I was shocked to hear that Kevin was just trying to play a game with me because he did not like my comment that was not directed to him but to the experience at the other location and because he just wanted to bother me. I felt abused as a customer and I have no trust what so ever in this service and dealership.

Great place to deal with. I have serviced my Caravan there for a few years and recently the AC went out. Come to find out it was a nightmare $2900 out of warranty repair. Chrysler Canada was amazing to deal with and help out as well as the local dealer on there end who completed the work quickly and also went out of their way to work with HQ to help on costs. It was awesome all around as I felt that everyone from Chysler Canada roght down to the Service desk at Halifax Dodge worked hard to make the best of this difficult situation! Thanks again guys!!!!

I called the dealership and they sent roadside to my rescue.

For the second time in 3 months, I have gone in for an oil change and been told it will be "hours" before my Jeep can be looked at. I have to drive 90 min round trip to bring my Jeep for any maintenance. The fact that no one contacted me asking if I wanted to reschedule or even sating that they are sorry for the inconvenience, was not professional. If one of the previous reviews I read was accurate, and their booking agents are actually call centre employees, that speaks volumes about how much the owners of the dealership care about their customers and their service. If this has happened to me twice in a short time frame, how many more people has this happened to?

I dont know which dealership those comments are about because they sure as heck arent about Halifax Chrysler Dodge at Bayers Lake.
The lease was up on my Jeep and I had to get a new vehicle asap. The dealership I was dealing with seemed that they didnt want to sell me anything, because they couldnt find a jeep for sale in the Atlantic Provinces. I called and spoke with Pat Reily at Halifax Chrysler Dodge and within hours had 2 options for me, then next day he had another option, which I ended up buying.He made the effort, going above and beyond in getting me exactly what I was asking for. I couldnt understand how he found them, but he did. He made me feel like I was his only customer (which I know I was not) and everytime I went into the dealership every salesperson had a welcoming smile on his/her face. I highly reccomend this dealership and am sending anyone I know who needs a vehicle to go see Pat.

Since I was a child I had the (possibly bad) habit to never hold back with my opinion and – although I
understand it is not always making me friends – I will continue doing exactly that because I believe that
being honest, straight and upfront, can make the world a better place.

So when I read the reviews on this page for the first time, I had to smile. The two people displaying
their bad experiences with the sales part of the dealership – yes, I can definitely relate to that. Over the last
couple of years, my wife and I had visited this dealership a few times before and I need to say that the
obvious and glowing enthusiasm, the sparkling energetic and appropriate approach of any sales person so
far, was more than our weak servile character could really handle and being all churned up inside by the
peaceful, majestic feel of having been tolerated by the whole sales team for just a few minutes , almost
brought tears into our eyes.

For those who have not understood – oh, yeah, this is cynicism pure! And as I as I said, I am not here to
make friends rather than telling about my experience.
But this world view has changed; big time and yet not surprisingly. We found an ad for a vehicle, which was
of interest to me for business use and Patrick had displayed his name. We got in touch with Patrick via e-
mail and not only was he very responsive but accurate in his statements – a feature I extremely like – as
well.

Long story short: a little later we tracked him down in person at the dealership and the first impression
continued to be a viable evaluation. The vehicle I was interested in was sold by then but since I had a few
suitable options in mind, we found the right solution.
There was no pressure involved, all the ins and outs, pluses and minuses were explained properly (guess
what – I like that too) and we found common ground. When I purchased the van, Chris was the sales
manager on duty. For both, Patrick and Chris, my little sardonic paragraph from above does not apply! They
are energetic, open, and fresh; they do work for their money and do not hesitate to go the extra mile (and
they even do understand my humour, which is not too often).
But the whole experience was not over yet. Shortly after I purchased the vehicle, a glitch showed up. It is a
young used vehicle, so that can happen. So I had to go and see Patrick and he took care of things
immediately.

See, I have been in sales for over 25 years now and the customer has always been my wife’s and my own
priority number 1. Unfortunately and as much I would like to tell about different experiences, it seems there
is not a lot of room for such thoughts in automotive sales.
All the more I appreciate Patrick’s position. He is young (so here you go), using the internet (how stupid is
that), often hiding in his office (I bet he is playing gam es) and not hanging out with the crowd (how unsocial
can someone be). Yes I know, sarcastic again.
Patrick, keep up the good work. Nicole and I really hope you can fulfill your customer commitments down
the road in the same manner and it was one pleasant experience, dealing with you!

And if anyone is in doubt, here is what we can offer: Contact us. We don ’t mind. Sometimes, when
undecided, talking to a third party with previous experience might help in the decision-making process.
And as we all know: Price is certainly one of the main determining factors but just not everything. When we
buy something, I want to be under the impression that I am looked after if something goes wrong down the
road. I am glad we have received evidence for that with Patrick.

Good job Patrick! Keep on trucking!
