I've had 4 trucks, 2 Dodge products, one at 230k with 0 mechanical issues and another at 630k

Work was done in the he scheduled time frame, a little less than originally quoted and. That's all with a little miscommunication in the parts department.

However, to the credit of the parts guys... They found a fuel filter that I've been looking for.. for the past 12 months.

Shout out Steven Farquharson for being pleasant and. Dealing with the parts issue. Justin McQuade also left a positive impression.

5/5

I have purchased three vehicles from Dobson over the years and have always received great and attentive service. The sales manager Matt is top notch and knows what he's talking about! Not pushy either like a lot of sales people.

Service is top. Dale and Steve from the service department answered my questions and emails very fast and they fixed all the problems on my wife’s car.
Price was accurate to the quoted one and service was super good and will totally recommend this dealer to anyone that I know. Service it’s a big thing when you own a car, and this guys are amazing.

So my 2013 dodge Journey had a recall on the catalytic converter and O2 sensors, when I called and spoke to Dale the first time he told me that the parts were backordered and they were calling people back as they got parts. I was a little upset but unfortunately that life. 2 days later I lost acceleration, car wouldn't go more then 30 km/hr before dying. I called Dale back up and he managed to fit me in within a few days. Top notch staff. They will definitely go out of their way to assist you. Very friendly whenever I go in for servicing parts etc. Although my Journey has had a little more issues than I like staff at Dobson Saint John are respectable. Thanks guys

I have had an issue with my truck since I bought it (from another dealer, not dodge). Since day 1 of this issue I’ve been dealing with Dobson and Dale, Jeff has been the tech working on my truck. They have been amazing through the whole process, anytime I have issues they do everything they can to help and the customer service has been more then I could have asked for. Dale has helped me out in many ways and Jeff has been very knowledgeable about the issues with my truck, they have both went above and beyond what I expected. Couldn’t ask for better customer service!

Two experiences in this review- First, Mike and Justin on the "other side" of the road are incredible for after-market parts, and stand behind what they sell. Incredible to deal with. For the main service area of the dealership, my step-daughter took her vehicle in for its first oil change after bringing it from out-of-province. She did not look forward to it, because previous dealerships "made her feel stupid". After she picked up her car, she had only good things to say about the experience, she was treated with respect, and the dealership managed to squeeze in a warranty repair, saving her a lot of trouble. Consistently good service that other dealerships should take note of.

I recently went into Dobson's a couple of times to look at some new vehicles and found the sales service terrible. Both times I went in there the sales ppl were huddled in offices behind vehicles and seemed more interested in socializing with each other and keeping out of sight rather than attending to the sales floor or lot. Since (as I later found out) their offices are at the back of the showroom behind vans, when I walked in and looked around I saw nobody, so I had to speak up by asking politely if anybody was around to try and get some attention (bc I couldn't see anybody), then nobody was friendly to me. When I got an appraisal for my very nice used car it was very lowball offer and much less than I had been offered elsewhere, which I consider to be an attempt to rip me off. Both times I was there, I left annoyed and wondering how they even stay in business. They don't seem to care at all and I won't ever be back. Btw, I bought a new car elsewhere which I will be doing from now on.

The Dobson dealership is A breath of fresh air to deal with compared to some other dealerships in this city. Bill Coulombes is a solid sales person and says it like it is. He would be the first to admit that he's not perfect. I'd say he's hard to beat in this business. He hasn't done me wrong yet. So far the rest of the staff has been good to me as well. I would recommend this dealership for the purchase of your next vehicle.

I booked an appointment for November 8th for 9am to have a track installed for the power window. Went to check on the progress at 11am and was told they could not do it today and that I would have to make another appointment. Not very happy with their service.

The service work is not high quality and they don't even clean rust when changing brakes - in their words "it will wear off over time." They also had to work my power steering system 4 times and 3 tow rides. They also told me that my transmission needed to be replaced or rebuilt at a cost between $3000-$4500. King Transmission said it was normal for the passenger side transaxle stub to be slightly lose but Dobson mechanics told me it was a safety issue. The front desk associates at service are the very best and the service manager Gary is a very nice fellow and I may even go back to them someday long in the future but right now I have cut ties after 10+ years and spending thousands of dollars there. Why? Well the tipping point was a recent dealing with a new vehicle purchase. I bought a brand new 2016 Cherokee Trail-hawk and the SAME days within a few HOURS on my way to work a night shift the CHECK ENGINE light came on. I pulled over and called the salesman. He advised it was nothing to worry about and to keep driving. I called FCA and they told me NOT to keep driving and that the salesman should not have told me to do that. I sent an e-mail later that evening [keep in mind I was working 12 hour nights and was really not in a great mood since a brand new vehicle I bought had a CHECK ENGINE lamp on]. The e-mail was sent to Dobsons and I asked for the deal to be squashed and wanted the deal undone - now - knowing the law and knowing that no dealership would ever normally allow reversal I already had my ponds lined up to challenge it legally and I made this clear in my e-mail. When I showed up at the dealership the following morning Dennis McQuade dumped my car keys back into my hands as I was explaining the situation from the day before and said the deal was cancelled and no problem but that he did not like my e-mail. Well even after I explained where I was coming from and how upset I was that a brand new vehicle had a check engine light come on he still seemed to have some attitude. Eventually I just played mr. nice guy and shook his hand and left with my $60,000 Toyota Avalon that they were giving me $39,000 for. Its an even longer story but that Avalon had seats so uncomfortable that they were killing my back and it was unbearable hence why I was going back to a Jeep. The salesman at Dobsons was a newer guy who I was willing to give another chance because its not his fault the vehicle had issues. I went back to look again and this time Dennis must have still been sore over my e-mail because he would only offer $37,500 for my car which was brand spanking new which is an insult of an offer and they are lucky I didn't walk in just to tell them off. I cannot even think of the salesman's name at the moment but I wished him the best. As he walked away another salesman approached me [name unknown] and apparently he had no idea who I was or why I was there in the lot. We talked about the Cherokees and he mentioned about how there was chatter amongst the office - they were talking about "this guy" who returned a trail-hawk - ME. One thing I will never tolerate is being spoken about behind my back whether its bad, good, or, neutral. I guess some "family" owned businesses don't feel they need to uphold high standards and professionalism. The vehicle issue was between me, the salesman, and the individuals I included in the e-mail - not the Dobson Sales Team. To summarize...after experiences at Dobson and Summit I now have my vehicles serviced at Moncton Chrysler and no I don't have any reasons or connections to there - it is simply the only place close to being professional. I bought a $68000 vehicle from a different dodge dealer after my experience at Dobsons so customer service matters and this dealer lost that sale. I will say one good thing - they did return my car to me without any hassle and that's more that can be said for my experience with Toyota. This fact alone is why they get 3 stars and not 1 star.

I was surprised to hear somebody I know personally very well and respect, had to wait 7 days to get a new key programmed for their expensive vehicle. This is absurd in my humble opinion. Other than I guess, this location is Ok, if you don't mind waiting 7 days to get a Simple New Key for an expensive vehicle. And this is the Truth.
