Dealing with this place has been the worst experience I've ever had with any business. Brought my car in for repair as it had a misfire. After 12 hours ($2,100!!) of diagnostic work, all they had to tell me was that I needed a new engine, but couldn't tell me why. I didn't believe it couldn't be fixed as it ran well besides the misfire, didn't use oil, the oil was clean, power and fuel economy was the same.....So I took it home. It had developed a massive oil leak while they had it that it didn't have before, so, because I hadn't learned my lesson yet, took it back to them. They said it needed an oil cooler, common problem. I told them to go ahead, another $1,000 bucks later, the leak is fixed. Go pick it up, I drive it for 5 seconds and another check engine code pops up. And the transmission won't shift properly. The code says low oil pressure and the transmission is in limp mode to protect the engine by not down shifting. They get back to me a week later, tell me to bring it in. I thought the new oil pressure sensor that came with the cooler was faulty. They did another couple hours of diagnostic work, told me it needed a new engine. But couldn't tell me why. And didn't try to change the sensor. So I drive it home, the oil pressure reading became totally erratic and went to 0 psi. Oil light comes on. I call up the oil temp, it's normal. I drive home, 35 minutes on the highway, with no indicated oil pressure. It runs fine. The temperature doesn't budge. Idling in my driveway, it's purring. When I go back and tell them this in person, I again suggest that maybe the sensor isn't any good. They tell me that they believe the sensor was correct and that I didn't have any pressure. I repeated how I drove for over half an hour at highway speeds, which would be impossible if that were the case. And they did nothing. Offered nothing. Insisted that I drove home with no oil pressure. So I left, and in the next few days changed the sensor myself, and voila, oil pressure was back. Call them back, explain how I replaced the sensor and oil pressure indication had returned. They seemed slightly embarrassed, and even went so far as to act as though they wanted to help me now.

They never did help me.

After seven months and no progress with Nelson Chrysler, I sold the car, to a friend, for $2,000. I had already bought another vehicle for my wife in the meantime since we couldn't drive the Dodge in the state it was left to us by Nelson Chrysler. The transmission was still in limp mode from a low oil pressure code. My friend fixed everything for $1,000 plus his time. When he opened up the engine to examine the rockers and lifters, the same components the dealership spent 12 hours diagnosing, he immediately saw that cylinder 3 had a bad rocker - it was obvious. This was also the cylinder that had the initial misfire that brought me to Nelson in the first place. He also noticed a loose oil galley bolt that had backed out almost to the point where it was going to fall into the engine. These are both well known issues with these engines. He tightened all the oil galley bolts, and replaced all the rockers and lifters by watching a video on YouTube. The oil pressure issue was solved when he replaced the brand new oil cooler (that Nelson just charged me $1,000 for) with an upgraded aftermarket unit. The one they put in WAS the problem. He's put 15,000 kms on it since then, with no check engine lights and no issues. Him and his wife love it. Not bad for a "blown" motor that Nelson quoted me $9,000 to replace. But generously offered to take it on trade....

Do not trust these people. Don't let them touch your vehicle.

I was present to witness them misdiagnose my brother's properly maintained and babied 2013 Dodge. They told us it needed a new engine and pressured him to trade it in multiple times. Faulty diagnostic was $2300, we fixed it on our own for under $1000. This place is criminal.

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!

My Husband went into this shady dealership to buy our family a 2011 Dodge ram outdoorsmen in Forest Green that he found online for $8000.
When he got to nelson after travelling by bus from Trail they told him it would be over $15000 with their documentation fees plus taxes on top of that. That's outrageous for a truck that is not in great shape. They tried to get him to buy new instead. What is wrong with this world and how is this acceptable!

New owners are hounding the public on vehicles to trade in. I have a truck that not only wasn’t purchased through Chrysler but was written off 3 years ago in an accident. How they found out that I was the owner is beyond me but get your facts straight, do your research, and don’t go digging in to other peoples lives to make a quick buck. Either go back to wherever it is you came from or learn that people in a smaller town will trade their vehicles in when they feel they need or want to. This would only let me post my review if I gave at least one star, but it is clearly 0 of 5 stars for them, and I don’t ever post reviews on google, but this is my first one and is warranted. Take some advice, let Brad sell and take care of that part. At least he’s honest and a good guy. He could make that place run 100 times better then you ever could.

A really disappointing experience - my partner left an inquiry on a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 on Thursday. Gary returned it via phone call and email on Friday morning. My partner replied to his email scheduling a test drive for Saturday afternoon (today), and again this morning confirming our arrival time. We were unexpectedly delayed in getting to the dealership today and so we phoned to reschedule. We were then told by Brad the truck had just sold and that a deposit had actually been made yesterday. No communication about this rather important update at any point during their business hours today, call or otherwise, despite having both our email and phone number on file. We live in Winlaw and would've driven an hour to Nelson this afternoon to find out the hard way. Frustrating to have missed out on the truck, but even more frustrating to have received no communication about the sale of a $46,000 vehicle we had expected to buy today (for my partner's birthday no less). It was a dream vehicle but I can't imagine buying from here now.

I purchased a Ram truck from this dealer with the best possible warranty. After 11,000 km's the truck quit on the highway. That was Sept 17th. It's now Nov 20 and they still can't provide an estimated time of repair. I haven't had any kind of help to remedy the situation from the dealership. Nor have they provided me a replacement truck for work. It has been very frustrating. It could be months more before a repair.
They also tried to tell me that I had a faulty fuse on an earlier warranty claim and not covered in warranty. The air suspension is problematic in the Canadian cold. The fuse actually worked perfectly protecting the truck from a faulty compressor. This is when they learned I am a helicopter mechanic. If this happened to someone who wasn't mechanically knowledgable. They would have been scammed.
I hope other can learn from my horrible experience with the dealer and FCA canada.

Incredibly kind people and amazing service! My vehicle was broken into while I was passing through Nelson. The folks at Nelson Chrysler helped me patch up the broken window and did a great job cleaning the interior, which had been vandalized. Even though I arrived during their lunch hour, they worked on it immediately and got my car back in safe driving condition so I could get back on the road right away, and didn't charge me for their time. My family has dealt here for almost 50 years, my parents and myself have bought numerous cars/trucks here. The integrity and sincerity in what is best for their customer is almost frustratingly above par. So many dealers and salesman are only concerned with their commission off the immediate sale. So few dealerships actually build a relationship with their customers that keeps their customers best interest in mind. Nelson Chrysler does, and always has. They might not get you in to any vehicle you want in the spur of the moment. They will get you into what is best for you. Plus the product is awesome!
