Worst place to purchase a car. I would give this a zero star rating if I could. I felt that I was tricked here. No one followed up with us over the car, no one! In addition, everytime the story was changed. That is completely unacceptable. As a customer, we are the ones paying for the car at the end of the day and hence we expect good service. Unfortunately this is not the case for this dealership. Save yourself the trouble and head to a different dealership.

Stay away! They do not verify car prior to test driving. You get into a car and nothing works, totally dangerous but I was told they would ‘check it, and fix it after my deposit’. ???? Does not make sense. Shouldn’t they verify car prior to pricing it and you test driving it??

I recently purchased a car from this dealership. What should have been an exciting and easy process turned out to be the most stressful experience. I normally don’t write bad reviews and am very patient but I feel that this experience needs to be shared to future buyers. I understand due to COVID that the process could take longer than usual, however I do not think that I should have been the one constantly chasing the sales rep for updates on ETA, VIN, and all other related information. I was given the runaround in regards to the status of my car multiple times - At first I was told that the car was at the dealership to later find out they were still looking for the car to then further have to threaten them to cancel simply to receive a vin number where then, all of a sudden, they had the car. My father had to step in to communicate and deal with the overall stressful situation. I also opted for the 6 month deferral program that they offered and I quote “your first payment Will start 6 months after we hand you the keys”. When I went to pick up my car last week they conveniently did not apply the 6 month deferral and informed me that it was “too late” and we would have to restart the whole process all over again at which point I had already waited 5 weeks for the car and my old one could no longer be driven, which was mentioned from day 1 to accelerate the process as much as possible. My dad has communicated with the gm a few days ago and he told me he was very nice and that he would take care of it and I am now waiting for a response.

To sweeten the deal, the sales rep did not hesitate to constantly make me feel uncomfortable with his clearly unwanted advances. As I am a young woman purchasing a new car, I do not need to be dealing with inappropriate behavior even after I clearly mentioned that I was NOT interested since I was seeing someone. It is totally unacceptable for me to have to bring not one, but two of my girls with me at each appointment because I felt uncomfortable going there alone. All this to say, I have had the WORST experience at this dealership.

I kept my mouth shut and was super patient while there because I just wanted to get everything over and done with and never have to step foot in there again.

Honestly, horrible. Started well but felt way too pressured. They made me make a deposit(which is the highest for any hyundai) and then I fell through the cracks, they said they would reach back and no one ever called me. Then when I found a better deal somewhere else and wanted to cancel, they would not give me my deposit back, finally they returned it to me after 2 days of not agreeing to refund me. When I went to get it the salesman and sales director made us feel super uncomfortable. I am making a formal complaint for sure and will not be recommending them to anyone. Don't buy there!

Incredible my 5yrs leasing is almost up! Definitely not renewing any leasing or type of vehicle purchase with Hyundai Chomedey! Every appointment scheduled in the past, my experience has always been an issue. Customer service is at their lowest point! Big big disappointment lack of professionalism on all aspects... this morning I had to pick up my tires and their approach made it simply unpleasant, the only pleasant experience was the fact that their receptionist was annoyed herself to know that I was being serviced terribly. You are just a number to them. Main priority is selling as many cars as possible in the least amount of time possible.
Confirmed appointment 3 times during the day before driving 2 1/2 hours to go see a car.
Confirmed each time that the car was still available.
Upon arriving, they just sold the car, no phone call or text message to advise.
While being there, might as well check out some other cars. While being showed a car, another sales person came by to say he just sold it.
Customer service doesn't appear to be a priority for them.

After I bought my car I went 3 time to that dealership for scheduled maintenance and never had to wait less than 3 hours. On the first visit I was strongly advised to do brake caliber clean up for 120$ and wheels alignment for 100$ (even so I didn't feel that I needed it when driving) and on the same day after the maintenance my car started to lean to the left and after inspecting brake calibers I didn't see any sign of the work being done. My second visit was fine - 60$ for oil change and no issues with the car (probably because my rep was on vacation). On my third and last visit to them my rep managed to sell me fluids flash for 450$ before tax, I was shocked because I didn't expect that amount - the representative was talking only in French, when I asked him to explain prices in English he started to speak even faster in French that's why my expectation was around 250$. When I picked up my car I saw that the floor mat was wet, I though that it was because of the rain (it was raining this day), next morning I realized that it was wet in oil and not water - it took me good hour to wash the mat. My hoot was also in oil fingerprints and it was scratched - probably the maintenance guy put wrenches on it and when he opened the hood - wrenches slid down it and scratched it.
And when I checked the oil levels - it was overfilled by 1 liter.

I went today for a service and had the worst experience once again. My appointment was at 10 AM to change my winter tires, I went early on my truck to drop off my mag's which I wanted use with the winter tires. I told two of the technician at the garage door and also told in the front that I dropped my mags outside of the garage number 3.

At 1PM I recieved a call that the rims I brought are not fitting in and I was so confused as I verified with a friend who is a mechanic. Then I thought maybe my friend made a mistake, so I asked to swap the tires on the same rims because I had no choice. When I asked that where are my older tires and rims he said it was put in the car. I got more confused as it doesn't fit in because the mags were on the tires.

I went to take my car back and paid $185.00 for rust proof and tire changing. I took the keys and went towards my car and I saw my mags were still at the same place where I left them. I put them back in my truck and took it home, I couldn't do anything because the service centre was closed.

When I came home I checked my car and there was not even a single sign of rust proofing. Not even a drop of oil on the side of the door and trunk nor the hood. I checked under the and not even a single drop was added for rust proof.

In the mean time I found extra 4 rims instead, which are not even mine and I will drop those off on Monday as they are closed over the weekend.

Terrible and frustrating experience

Bought my car on January/19 there and agreed 1st year of free service service + 500$ credit.
The problems begun when the lady in charge of the financing was so pushy to sell me warranties I didn't need, that I almost canceled the deal so they offered me a free oil change to compensate. Then, they were not able to license my new car so I had to go to La SAAQ 3 times to fix their mistakes. To compensate that again, they offered me another oil change. All this information was supposed to be on my file as per the manager but, today when I go to service my car, nobody knows anything. Sales never answer my calls or emails while service says it is not their fault.
Just another one of those places where they promise the world to close the deal and then disappear. I am taking my business someplace else and do not recommend this place.

Found what I was looking for on their website. Called and booked earliest appointment for the following day. Showed up on time, only to find out that the subject car was taken for a test drive??? After 15min, story changed-an employee took the car to test it. Waiting 30 min, story changed- an employee took the car for personal reason. After 45min waiting, I was told that an employee went to the SAAQ for business purposes and took the car.
How come from so many cars in inventory the subject car was missing for 55min?
Finally it arrived after almost 1h waiting, to find that the car had a $3000 damage in the past and another visible damage $2000. On top, the salesman tells me that according to the law, any damages below $3000 are not mandatory to be included in the report.
The minute i walked in and they told me the car is takin for a test drive (i was the first client whee they opened) I smelled something fishy.
I wouldn't recommend to do business with this dealership.

Worst experience attempting to buy a car. I didn’t negotiate on price. Offered to put any amount for deposit immediately to secure the vehicle while I drove from Ottawa. They told me they couldn’t guarantee it wouldn’t be sold

The salesman was not at all interested in helping us find a car. We went to see a couple of cars and he didn't even remember the year or the mileage of the car. They said they do not negotiate on price and you must buy the car as is.

I called prior to make an appointment to view a used car, since no one picked up I left a voicemail clearly stating my name and phone number. I didn't receive a call back, but was told by the front desk when I arrived that they "answer all voicemails". All that aside I was still able to meet a sales manager. We selected a few vehicles to look at from his desktop, but once we were outside in the hot weather looking at different used cars.. He had no details about the car. He could have printed some info with him as we were in no rush. He simply occasionally pointed and said "here". When I made comments about the rust or other things, he would just say that is expected and for a $250 they could "fix it". It was not informative or welcoming. Very disappointing.

We were interested with one of their 2011 crv before, while doing the transaction i noticed that they are offering different rates if you are not getting their warranty that they offer. We decided not to include that warranty and go on with the deal, when we were about to settle the deal we went there on a saturday to pay the down payment and finalize the deal, one of their so called Finance Director did not treat us properly and did not even greet us with a simple hi or hello, the 1st word came out to her mouth was “What”. Then she just called one of their salesman that looks annoyed talking to us. We just decided to leave that dealership. Their prices looks great but when you get there at the dealership you will hear things like, you are buying it as is, it hasnt been inspected so you need to pay for the inspection service plus if there are parts need to be replaced like the brakes etc.

I don’t even want to give one star. I needed a new engine, they had me wait 3 months for it. Not the biggest of problems I was understanding.
It’s been 2 days since I got this new engine and I started hearing a whistling sound out of my ac. Took it to another garage due to Hyundai Chomedey being closed today. Found out that by the garage my cooling system was properly set up when the replaced my engine. Warning me of the dangers and how it will burn out my engine. Is this Hyundai Chomedey trying to get me to come back for a new engine? Are their engineers inexperienced? Or is it just a lack of care?..... Management help?

I wonder how many people who gave 5 stars got paid to do so. This has been by far the most unprofessional, horrifying and unpleasant experience. The dealership is fully francophone to the point where they can’t even speak about a vehicles details and contract in English. I mean that should be the minimal if you’re selling cars no?
I’m bilingual but even when speaking French to them, they’re Unknowledgeable. So, forget the language barrier.
They literally registered the wrong car under our name! We drove a car around for over a week when they registered the wrong VIN, model and plate to our name! How? Signed all the right documents with the right info, but they made this huge mistake in their system and WE had to fix it for them!! Wow.

This place is a joke. When asked to have the registration fixed they forgot to ship out the actual transfer papers even after we called and emailed. Communication is like rocket science for them! Calling back and replying to emails is like asking them to climb Mount Everest... seriously. Do not bother leaving messages nor emails and If you happen to go in person, good luck.
How is Hyundai Canada not looking into this dealership? This place needs training 101 on how to communicate in both languages, product knowledge and a refresher on means of communication. Customer service is all time low here. Sales Service in general, they couldn’t even explain the contract properly and the salesmen didn’t speak English so we might as well check the car specs ourselves.
Oh ya and the contract had the wrong interest rate, en plus!! It’s numbers! It’s not even a language issue at this point!

The car was sold so I found another one. The advertised price was not the price of the car. They charge many what they call mandatory fees. Inspection cleaning and if you don't use their financing another fee. Despite all of this we did make a deal on a car. When we drove back to pick up the car we found the car was still a mess and hasn't really been cleaned while still charging us a cleaning fee. What do you expect it is a used car. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The prices are attractive but the non advertised fees take care of that. Ultimately we wasted 2 days and a couple of hundred in gas to walk away frustrated without the car

Terrible experience, terrible service. Had an appointment Saturday @ 10:30am. Nobody said hello, or welcome to the dealership. Ended up having the internet salesman at his desk remove his ear buds to help me figure out what was going on.. Had a salesman assigned to me who seemed annoyed by any questions asked and made no effort to converse whatsoever. While taking out the vehicle I was interested in, someone else decided they wanted to test drive it (as it was parked by the door) and off they went. I was told, "too bad it's not sold yet, that's just how it is." When I did get to test drive that vehicle, it ended up having a few issues with the brakes.. The salesman told me this wasn't his problem, and that he would do nothing about it. Honestly, if they had of done a $300 break job on the vehicle, or at least politely suggested a solution, I would have purchased it.. I understand Saturdays are busy, but attentiveness, consideration, being personable and having integrity go a long way. I think this dealership could do a lot better if put some effort into customer service. In the end, the behaviour of the salesman resulted in a lost sale (which could have been an easy sale) and another 1 star review (which seem to be piling on).

I bought a car there on 2017 from them. Hyundai Sonata 2013 that was on liquidation. The sellers were able to sell to me also a extended warranty from "100 Limits" but he never gave me a full explanation what really that warranty was covering... I know it was my fault and I had to ask more question to them , but they have the obligation to inform their client for their products which they didn't fulfill. I had a problem later and they said to me even though the problem was covered by the warranty I had to pay to them around 100-200 cad for the services and fees that were never explained when i bought it. They're really scammers and I hope people take care when they go and decide to buy a car from them...

The most beautiful thing was that after i paid everything and left, they called me 3 days later and said that they didn''t calculate properly the taxes . They said i owned them around 400 for SAAQ taxes and that the registration would be cancelled if i wouldn't pay it. Immediately i talked the SAAQ agent and explained them the problem. The agent told that everything was OK and i had nothing to pay to them. I also contacted the Consumer Protection Office about the issue and they agreed that i didn;t owned them money. Later i went there and asked about the issue and suddenly they said without any explanation that i just didn't owned nothing. I don't know the real problem , but i still have my doubts they just tried to take a few extra dollars from me ...

i went in there for a friend of mine to buy a used car. however, we were sort of force to chose the car based on the pictures. the car would be shown to us after signing some documents. moreover they will claim that the car has been checked for damages and wont show any job card performed on the card ( very shady business). the advertised price does not include the fees (cost for anti rust etc. things that you probably will never ask for ). Thank god, we walked out of the place. i would recommend to try out another better dealer.

Honestly the service here is quick effective the only thing that I found really strange was when I wanted to speak to somebody in English they told me that there was one guy the assistant to the manager who could properly communicate to me in English about me wanting to discuss and possible trade of my lease to a bigger vehicle. I find it strange that the management there hires people that mainly communicate in French with no capacity to speak English or to negotiate in any other language besides French that seems a bit unfair and a bit disjointed since we live in a province where are bilingual. The receptionist herself spoke English well if I might add and the person that called me spoke English as well I just find it it's weird out of perhaps a staff of over 20 people who are salesman only one speaks English fluently?

I purchased my last Hyundai Santa Fe from another dealer in Laval. I chose to use Chomedey Hyundai for service for the past three(3) years and it has been a great experience. The service consultants are very knowledgeable resulting in first time diagnosis and first time repair.Terrific.
Funny story-in November of this year I went to have the snow tires installed and a few,short hours later bought a new 2016 Santa Fe. The sales staff are excellent and the pre-delivery process was expedited very thoroughly and professionally.
