We traded in a GMC Denali for a santa fe XL Luxury edition, expecting our 3rd child and needing the 7 seats. On our way home from the deslership, our glass sunroof EXPLODED! A complete and utter shock.
Traveling with my 2 small children, i was terrified and immediately pulled over. No other cars or vehicles around to blame, i was trusting in Richmond hill to reassure me of a quick fix or potential coverage.
Not only are they IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of, the customer service is god awful. From reception, to salesman, to service manager. I have been trying to get answers or help for 2 days and only ever been transferred or left waiting for a call back.
This has been the absolute worst transaction of my life and not only am i not a priority, my family, and safety do not matter.
We were unable to even get our Hyundai home without our first problem and have continuously been let down and pushed away since.
I would not and will not ever suggest anyone buying or trading at Richmond hill Hyundai. Your satisfaction is not guarenteed like they say it is, its not even important!
Do NOT buy your Hyundai from Richmond hill. They give Hyundai a bad name and have ruined my experience completely.

Worst car purchase experience ever!!! Saturday, March 23, 2019, I went to Hyundai Richmond Hill Dealer to pick up my VERY FIRST Hyundai car, a brand new Elantra preferred. When the salesperson gave me the key and then led to the car, I noticed the car was very dirty and has not been washed. I spoke with salesperson who simply told me the car was just sitting around for a while!!! He then took for a one-minute car cash after which the car was still dirty! Things got worse when on my way home, I noticed a cut on the leather steering wheel that was simply an eye-sore to me. I went back to the dealer furious demanding the cancellation of my deal as this was simply fraud. The sales manager told me there is nothing such "cancelling a deal" and I have "to come back Monday to see what they can do for me”. Instead of taking a quick action, he asked me to take the car home and wait for their call on Monday. Being a former PR manager for Ford, I told him a car should have gone through a PDI (PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION) prior to delivering it to me, yet his answer was “I will check what went wrong”! In fact, Hyundai Richmond Hill sold me a fleet car (a vehicle Hyundai offer to dealers to test by their employees) and then sell them to general public at a discounted price. The salesperson told that we never use them, and we simply sell them. The car has only 50KM on the odometer and Hyundai Richmond Hill put on the Vehicle Purchase Agreement that the car was used with 4128 KM on Odometer. Meaning I bought a new car in reality, yet a used one in paper!!! They told me these are fleet cars that we don't use and sell them at a discounted price without telling Hyundai Corp. I bought the car as a gift to my sick wife and they have spoiled my day, my gift and turned the whole thing into a night mare. Before the incident, I was planning to trade in my VW Jetta for a Sonata, but now I am simply planning to cancel everything!!! My overall experience was disappointing. The selling of the vehicle took place very easily. In the financing office that was a nightmare and a complete waste of my time. In my personal situation, I was at a different stage in my life and could not afford addons (I budgeted for a certain amount). They were very persistent and did not understand. In addition their costs were too much. My second issue was I asked for an upgrade. For a week I was playing phone tag with 2 sales agents and the sales manager, no one could give me an answer as to what features are included with my upgrade and the price. I do not feel as a customer I have to run around to get the information I need, they are the sales representatives of their vehicles and should know it inside out. In the end I found out what I wanted to know because I went down to the dealership and looked at every vehicle to get the answers I need. Third issue is, the service department is a joke. When I picked up my vehicle it was not clean, there was dirt everywhere on the car. I was promised a detailing to make up for their lack of being able to do what they were hired for.

My sales representative (Chris Song) did try to make this process as smooth as possible he gets points for this.

This dealership had the opportunity to break car dealership stereotypes but from my experience the stereotype holds up stronger then ever.

Initially, my wife and I were ignored for a half an hour in the dealership. That's fine after I say "No thanks, I don't need any help just yet". After we almost walked out, we explained that we wanted a quote on a Hyundai Genesis. After talking for some time and receiving nothing better than MSRP, we left and did a deal with another dealership that saved us hundreds on a monthly lease payment (just by emailing a couple of times) with almost no hassle to boot.

On January 21 2015 I went to buy a 2012 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T from Richmond Hill Hyundai. I was told by the staff that it would be ready for me on Friday January 23, but when I called before going to pick up my vehicle they told me it wasn't ready. We then arranged to postpone the pick up to the next day, Saturday January the 24, but when I arrived the next day we once again told that the car was not ready for pick up as the ownership paper work was not yet prepared and we were told yet again to come back another day, which was Monday the 26 of January. When I reviewed the safety paperwork we discovered that they had written the mileage of the car to be ten thousand KM more than what it really was, which would cut down our factory warranty. Further more when I requested to speak with the manager of the dealership, the sales manager Ting Ying refused to allow me to speak with him and proceeded to disrespect me as well as my wife. The days following the collection of our car we discovered several issues, the first being that the dealership had not cleaned the car like they had said as when looking under the front seats of the car we discovered several single serving packages of sugar some of which had torn and spilled inside the car, the next issue was that the wipers that we received with the car were torn and did not work properly. The way the staff treated me and my wife, coupled with attempt to cheat us out of the warranty we were to receive,as well as the state the car was in when we received is unacceptable. I wouldn't ever recommend doing business with dealership.

Using the Unhaggle spreadsheet, offered the low end of the Unhaggle recommended range which was over $1500 lower than what we had negotiated with our local Hyundai dealer so we saved a good amount very easily. The dealership did not "haggle" so gets a good rating for the sale.

I had a very negative experience at Richmond Hill Hyundai. As a nursing student, dealing with Covid-19 at the hospital a car is essential for me at this time. Unfortunately my car broke down (engine light) and was not worth the fix. I decided to purchase a 2020 Hyundai that was within my budget. Unfortunately this dealership is terrible with communication and a message regarding warranty was not known to the financial advisor. I went in to pick up my car and fees were added to my contract after I explicitly explained I did not want a $2500 warranty. I do not know if it is because employees are no longer getting commission at this dealership that they think they do not have to treat customers with respect but attitude is everything ! If I am paying over 20 grand for a car it is important to talk to a customer without an attitude (attitude is not only verbal but body language as well) listen to their opinion and what they have to say. Do not get me wrong "Greg" was very interested in what I had to say when I wanted to purchase a car but as soon as I had a issue his true motives were revealed. This dealership is very nice on the outside! Shiny new cars and very clean but the true experience is excellent customer service, clear communication and positive interactions with each other. I definitely felt taken advantage of as a 22 year old female and I will not go back. If I could redo the experience of buying (technically my first new car I would go to different dealership! PLEASE, future customers take in what I am writing as proper customer service is essential in every business and please do not waste your hard earned money at this dealership. There will be other dealerships who will actually appreciate you and be thankful of your purchase.

I thought I found the car for me however, I'm still waiting to hear back about my financing application. Its been 3 weeks. I was so prepared to buy a Tuscon from this dealership however the lack of communication from Josh is astonishing. I was ready to buy 1 of the 3 vehicles I had picked but now will look elsewhere.

I've purchased dozens of cars in my lifetime and this dealership is by far the WORST I've ever encountered. The kids they have working in sales know absolutely nothing about the product and can't answer a single question without asking their managers. Very high staff turnover and incredibly disorganized from top to bottom. They'll tell you anything you want to hear to make the sale and after that it's all lies and excuses. Stay away!

Staff could be a little more friendly, and they don't wash your car with service, but location is good. UPDATE - I like to give companys a fair chance so I tried to book an appointment today, been trying to get a warrenty issue fixed, engine light on, finally after a week I got hold of someone named Sunday who was less then helpful, said it would take all day just to find out how long the issue would take to be fixed. From here on I will take my car to any other Hyundai dealership, as this place is not worth my time nor frustration. Good luck to others!!
UPDATE: Last visit was much better it is clear this dealership made changes for the BETTER, will recommend and return! Great work

I pulled in because of emergency - it was snowing and my wiper blades broke. I had no appointment, but Mark checked to see what was wrong, & right away went and got someone from the service team to check it out. They saw that it was missing a part, got the part, put in the part and I was safely on my way! This was all within 10 minutes! I get to the dealership early and taken right in. O,Neil, the service adviser, checks me in. Oil change and rust proof inspection. No problems, as always. Done in 40 minutes, and they give car wash. Brakes need doing soon, but not this time. Will have don next time. No filter up-sell, just pay and go. This is the service I expect! See you next time!

I met Mark once inside the garage - service reception area, where he booked in my car and I left to walk home.
Mark did offer me a ride, but I prefer to walk home, as I live nearby. I picked up my car later in the day and drove home in a nice clean car- saving me from additional work.
All my service experiences have been very pleasant, your staff are always in a good mood, and happy to take the time needed to service me and my car.

Below average service, i felt as though i was completely taken advantage of. I had my vehicle examined and they told me that my warranty does not cover the work that needs to be done and that was fine so they charge me for the repair and assure me that everything is okay i then inspect the vehicle myself to see if the issue had in fact been resolved it turns out it wasn't it just made everything worse i feel as though i was deceived and mislead about everything not a good way to treat clients.

Got 2 cars from this dealership this year. One was purchased and the other was leased. It was a pleasure to deal with these people, primarily because of Dilan Graham, the sales manager. He was very personable and very professional. He bent over backwards to make the first deal happen, which is his job of course. But, he was honest and open, and straightforward about everything. He didn't play any games. This is how buying a car should be. He made sure that I understood how good of a deal I got, even threw in a couple of freebies for me. Because everything went so well and I was pleased with the price I paid, I went back for another car, the lease. Dealing with Dilan again, thus deal went just as smooth as the first one. When the lease is up, I will be going back and trying my luck again, hoping that Dilan is still there! Good work Dilan! See you in 4 years.

5 down to 3. I really want to like this dealership, but the last two visits have been a less desirable experience. Called last week to have an oil change, alignment and winter tires/rims mounted (also a couple other items to look into). Left the car there for 10 hours. Result was oil change was not done and one of the rims was scratch - assume during alignment.

Booked follow up appointment to have the oil change done. Work was done, however regular oil was used instead of synthetic.

I hope they can turn this around.

Getting it right. I used this dealership many times since purchasing my 2016 Hyundai product. Originally, I had less than stellar repair service with respects to various issues. However, in the last few months, it seems this Hyundai dealership service has turned it around in a big way.

I had a specific repeatable noise that occurred only when accelerating over a certain speed. I have been driving for over 40 years and I know that noise issues are the most difficult to diagnosis in many cases. The folks at Richmond Hill Hyundai tenaciously troubleshooted the cause. 2 individuals that stood out were Mark (Senior Service Consultant) and a outstanding Service Delivery Automotive Guru (Travis). Both Mark and Travis were professional, set expectations, took the time to explain in detail on what they could do and were going to do. I could tell they took pride in the Hyundai brand- the company they worked for. The demonstrated knowledge and accountability. I got my vehicle back and the noise was gone, fantastic - I was extremely happy with the service experience and will be coming back !

These 2 individuals specifically and the Richmond Hill Hyundai staff restored my faith in the Hyundai brand(Getting it right). The product speaks for itself - features, pricing, great warranty etc. but the other key attribute is the service. I would definitely purchase another Hyundai product and services in the future.

This was my most recent experience with Richmond Hill. I was in to have a oil change and get a noise diagnosed. Oil change was fine. For the noise they advised that the noise was caused by after market brakes. I would have given them 5 stars but I had some bad experience in the past with this dealership's service.

In my last dealings with this dealership, I brought my 2016 Hyundai Tucson in for a Steering and Suspension issue. I hit the curb and broke the wheel hub, had it replaced but found noise and steering was off. So I brought it into this dealership. The service advisor had me do an alignment, which was fine as I obviously needed one. But the noise was still there. Next he suggested I should change my tires to get rid of the noise. So I bought 4 new tires. But noise was still there, so he suggested I change the brakes.... I said no thank you as I believe your guessing at my expense. I took it to a independent and they knew right away I needed new wheel bearings. Had it done and the noise went away. This was not the first time I experienced this "guessing", first time was the well know infamous Dual Clutch issue that makes the 2016 Tucson 1.6T sluggish on the start which can be dangerous (hence they got rid of the dual clutch on the 2019 model). When I brought that in, the same service advisor said I should have the turbos cleaned (or something like that). So I did and the problem persisted. I don't believe this is a chronic problem with the dealership but it was with this certain service advisor who I believe is no longer there.

I believe in 2nd and 3rd chances and what restored my faith at Richmond Hill Hyundai was the Service Advisor (Mark Ginsberg) that I dealt with. He didn't guess, he provided a repair summary, had me speak with the mechanic to explain in detail what the issue was. That is service I would expect from Hyundai. Based on this experience, I would buy the Hyundai brand again if their products and services fit my needs.

Hi every one, I got a car almost year and half ago. Please do you homework before you get to this dealership. I bought a car from them after one day I find the same car price was less than they sold to me, when I told them they said okay apple to apple and shake hand with us. I gave them the location and car when they saw, they keep it quiet and they did not say anything. They are cheater people just please do your homework do not listen to the guy talk on the radio they aren't honest people. Thanks.Peace

I bought a brand new Hyundai Santa Fe in 2014. Even though I don`t leave in the area anymore, I still bring my car to this dealership for repairs and servicing. They always provide you with recommendations for part changes or servicing when needed but will never push you to do it right away. I also enjoy the atmosphere, free WiFi, and of course, their coffee machine and snacks.

As we walked in my husband and I recognized Jack Dee, as he had sold our son a car almost five years ago. Just as back then, he was friendly, yet professional and took lots of time to explain the Accent's features and answer all of our questions. We also believe he gave us an extremely fair deal. All in all, a fantastic experience and we would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to family & friends.

I initially dealt with Greg Sipprell but primarily with Brek Bailey for the purchase of a 2015 5 litre Genesis. Both very professional but also very personable. I believe I got a fair deal and the follow up was great. I had been to the Hyundai dealer on Woodbine in Thornhill. While closer to my home, I found the sales person arrogant and distracted and he gave the impression that he'd do me a big favour by taking my 2006 Jaguar XJR off my hands for 1/2 of what I was offered by Greg and Brek-the latter offer was fair, the Woodbine one ridiculous. If I hadn't gone to the Richmond Hill location, I'd still be driving my Jaguar.
