Love the service at Owen Sound Hyundai. They listen to my input regarding what I have noticed, follow-up using their expertise to diagnose, and then communicate their findings to to me. Once approved they fix the problem. Very friendly. I would like to add that they are honest about their mistakes as well. Once my part arrived they sent it somewhere else by mistake (we all make mistakes). Someone went to pick it up over the lunch hour (over an hour round trip) to get it back so my car would still be ready early in the afternoon. They do not price gouge you either. This is the first dealership I have stuck with for car repairs (this is my first Hyundai, a 2011 Elantra). The service experience at Owen Sound Hyundai alone would lead me to buy another Hyundai!

Went in for my oil change yesterday Mon May 11. Arrived almost 15 minutes ahead of my appointment yet the 3 customers that arrived after me, their cars were all taken in for servicing ahead of mine. Maybe I was just grumpy from sitting outside in the cold but my car was finally taken inside, almost 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Service was quick as usual and I paid and left. Getting back into my car, always look forward to see what part of the inside got a quick clean job. I was certainly surprised to discover that NOTHING got cleaned. Name plates off floor mats still lose on floor. No dust cleaned. Guess no time in a pandemic to clean the little things that customers look forward to. Disappointed in the final details but happy to get in out of the cold🥶🥶

Durning Covid 19 we wondered how well the process would run and how the vehicle would be but I have to say, I have nothing but excellent reviews. Dave, our sales rep, sent us videos of the vehicle. We reviewed them and asked any questions we had through text messages. When we decided to move forward, the documents were sent to us through email. We signed and sent them back. A few days later our new to us car arrived at our door step. We had a few days to drive the car with a return policy if we didnt like the vehicle. I am happy to say we love the vehicle and have no intention of returning it. Thank you for the time and great service we recieved. Although we are in our homes, there is no reason to not get big purchases when they are need!

I had owned many Hondas but my last car was a Hyundai. Anyway, I dropped by OS Honda first, just to see what they had for cars just off lease etc. The salesman was not particularly interested in my business, or pursuing a possible sale. He did not seem at all interested in his job. So I went across the street and got fabulous but not pushy service from Nick. In fact the whole team there were fun and positive to deal with( and I met them all!) I test drove 2 cars and put a deposit down that night. Unlike Honda, there were several 2-3 year old cars to choose from. I highly recommend OS Hyundai. When an engine check light came on thst was quickly dealt with too.

Since purchasing my 2012 Sonata from Owen Sound Hyundai in 2016 I have been very pleased with the service, prices and customer care the dealership provides. But yesterday I had a wonderful experience of "going the extra mile", in spades. We live in the country, 10 kms from the dealership. The car wouldn't start, even using jumper cables off our tractor. Made the call about 12:30 to say the car was disabled and I would have CAA tow it in. (A side story - CAA gave me a ETA of 45 minutes - arrived in 25!). The dealership said they had booked a bay for 3:00 for a mechanic to check it out. They called at 3:20 and told me it needed a new battery and they could install it immediately. I gave the go ahead and asked if their courtesy car could come and get me so I could retrieve my car (we had just sold our second vehicle the previous day). They said yes but then phoned back in 5 minutes and said they would deliver the car. It was back in our driveway by 4:00. I will likely be telling this story for awhile. Excellent service Owen Sound Hyundai!! Thank you so very much.

Went there Sept 2018 for recall service, my brake light switch failed which was a known recall, so they replaced it for free (legally required).

To their credit, the service when they replaced the switch was very good, they vacuumed the floor and may have even cleaned the windshield, to my surprise though when I leave work 30km away that night I realize my brake lights are on constantly.

I did not contact Hyundai about this service, as I was able to rectify it with simple tools at my work. The cause of the fault was the switch not being adjusted correctly after installing. There are two nuts that must be adjusted on the shaft of the switch to almost bottom out the yellow rubber bumper shown in my second image, if it doesn't almost bottom out the lights stay on. I felt at the time the shop should have caught it, but I wasn't concerned enough to follow up with the company at the time.

Fast forward a couple months later, get a letter in the mail saying they're looking for cars WITH MY MODEL AND YEAR and they want to buy my car for more than market value.... ya sure ok. I ignore it. Of note, this recall service in Owen Sound is the only time I have ever had any dealings with any Hyundai dealership in my life, but they obviously now know the make model and year of my car.

A couple weeks later, get a phone call on my cell, same pitch, they're looking to buy my car for 'more than market value'. I explain to the caller the situation, and that I've already had this recall experience of a bad repair, and that I'm really not interested, and to please remove me from any call lists. She said she would.

I continue to get letters after this, and a couple months ago, approximately July I got an especially heinous one.

So, many of these letters don't even have a return address on them, they're trying to trick you into opening them from the onset - but this one letter that I got looked like my name was hand-written onto the front of it, makes you genuinely think you received a hand-written letter. When I open it, it's a 'photocopy' of an "internal memo" where they're saying "we really need a , especially in the years ". And then it appeared that there was a hand-written note on top of the memo saying "Hey Andy we need your car!... Use my login to our appraisal system to see what it's worth" - crazy thing is, when you look at the ink on the page, it's all laser printed, none of it is hand-written although it convincingly appears it is.

Ultimately the dealer doesn't make so much off buying my car (but they will make something), the real sale is trying to get me to buy a brand new car.

I didn't go to the appraisal website because I knew the login credentials are actually tied to me and it just reaffirms me further into their system that I received the letter and may be interested, but I did a "whois" lookup on the domain name, the appraisal website mentioned in the letter is actually owned by a marketing company, and has nothing to do with car valuation.

After this I went into the service center in person, and talked to 2-3 employees about this letter, and how the initial service a year ago sparked this. They assured me they would have me removed from future mailings. Despite this I have a letter here dated Sept 4th which opens saying this:

"Dear Andy..

We've missed you!

Our service records indicate that it's been some time since your last visit..."

Of course it's been some time, because I've never used the dealer for regular maintenance, and have explicitly stated not to contact me with marketing information.

I don't take lightly writing negative reviews for local businesses, but the deceptive practices on that one letter remind me more of the call center scams you see and hear about than a reputable north american business. I'd be concerned about less skeptical family and friends getting tricked.

Absolute worst dealership I've ever dealt with. They had my car for close to a week just to fix a "valve. " I was told different things that were wrong with my 3 year old vehicle throughout that week. Hyundai didn't cover a rental for me and told me they no longer cover them for vehicles covered under warranty. I called Hyundai corporate and lost it. They were also not helpful at all! I went through the worst stress that week and had to fork out hundreds. After I blew up at Hyundai multiple times they told me my car would be covered under warranty and they were going to reimburse me the money I put out on rentals for the week! I waited forever for the money and had to call then a few times about my second reimbursement check. The day after I got my car back the motor started surging while in park and it wasn't driving properly at all. I called Hyundai back and have called them miltplie times over the last few weeks and I am always told someone will call me back or the person I need is NEVER available. I have now made an appointment with a different Hyundai to find out what is now going on with my 3 year old vehicle. I've kept all the maitenence on this car up to date and on time so for it to be causing so many issues in just a few years shows me that the cars are garbage! I've heard from multiple people that there cars have caused them a lot of issues in the first few years as well and I have heard other bad things about this dealership.
I would never recommend a Hyundai to anyone nor would I ever recommend this dealership! Save yourself the headache and stress.. Trust me!

What a horrible dealership
I called ahead and spoke with Sheldon as I was on a limited time schedule and needed to quickly test drive a couple vehicles listed on their website.
After driving for near an hour, I arrive and find out the 2 vehicles were not road worthy ( No safety ) and they were not going to be fixing them.
Why, may I ask, were they listed on the company site as ready for sale?
Also Sheldon didn't even listen as I tried to explain the needs of our family, and was set on selling us the latest and greatest.
Seems like he just wanted us to come in so he could pull the old Bait and Switch.
