Purchased a brand new Veloster Turbo with extended warranty for my then 20yr old son. Last year after many problems and trips to service complaining about the problem they agreed to replace the engine. A rental was authorized for Enterprise next door on May 1, 2019. The car sat at the dealership for months with the excuse being they didn't have an engine available. Enterprise sent Myers a bill for 30 days of rental as that is when they bill and it was paid with no problem. Meanwhile the Veloster was still sitting at the garage. The car was finally ready to be picked up at Hyundai on July 18, 2019. It was unknown to my son that Hyundai rejected the second rental bill from Enterprise three times. Hyundai told Enterprise that the customer would pay so my son's credit card was billed. When he noticed he started sending messages to Marc Lebeau the GM at Myers Hyundai and talked to Doug Carruthers the service manager. They basically just kept blowing him off. The rental car charge was $2447.58 and a lot of money for someone that wasn't supposed to get that bill. Finally my husband and I went into the dealership to talk to Doug Carruthers. He kept us waiting for a long time and then finally when we started talking about the issue he shouted at me and denied everything. We were done with him and went to Marc Lebeau and explained it to him and he said he would look into it. We followed up with him by email, phone and went in a few more times. Nothing was being done so we contacted Hyundai Canada and explained the problem to them. They kept asking for documents to prove this and we provided everything. We even had the Enterprise Regional manager give us an email where he stated how they billed Myers and they rejected the bill. Marc Lebeau had all kinds of excuses for us and even blamed my son and said it was up to him to bring Myers the bill from Enterprise. We told him it had nothing to do with my son and they needed to sort out their internal procedures. Finally Hyundai Canada left us a voice message to say

I bought my Hyundai Elantra GT in October of 2019. I've loved driving the car and and have had nothing but good service , since day one ( Victoria was fantastic). Last week my battery died and we tried to boost the car 3 times but it wouldn't charge. The Hyundai road side team sent a tow truck and took the car back to Kanata Hyundai. My alternator was fried by a reverse charge that we must have created and unfortunately an alternator for a brand new car is not usually kept in stock ( no expectation that there will be issues with a new alternator). Jackie let me know that I would be waiting until one could be shipped from Korea. I resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn't see my car until mid to late July. 1 week later I am driving my car and am beyond impressed with the service department . When I went to pick up my car, my paperwork was missing and they had no clue what I was to pay. The service department handed me my keys and said we'll call you tomorrow. Who trusts like that anymore? I drove away with what I thought was $2000 worth of repair done and paid nothing. I kept offering my visa and they said " we trust you". Anyway, one day later I have paid for my alternator and the cost was far less than I had anticipated and , do to Jackie's superb service, I am now a loyal Hyundai customer. They did not know that I had been having a horribly stressful week, and I never thought an expensive car repair would end up being the light at the end of a very hectic week. I recently purchased a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe from Kanata Myers Hyundai and I have to say that it was one of the most positive vehicle purchasing experiences that I have had, and I have purchased a good number of vehicles over the years.

Although all the staff we encountered were excellent, I would single out the sales rep, Kingsley Uzuegbu, for particular praise. We found him to be very pleasant to deal with. He was attentive without being pushy and that went a long way to making the purchase a more pleasant experience. I would also add that the sales manager, Jason, and the business manager, Roy, were also very good.

Based on my personal experience, I have no difficulty in highly recommending Kanata Myers Hyundai to anyone who is considering a vehicle purchase.

Horrible customer service from this dealer and Hyundai Canada in general. Had a part replaced in December under warranty, which promptly failed after a month. Now both this Myers dealer and Hyundai Canada are refusing to replace the part. Couldn't be more disappointed and frustrated. If you can see something wrong with this trunk strut, you're too qualified to work at Hyundai.

We leased a vehicle from this outlet and are satisfied with it. We're not so happy with the customer service of the service department. The last time we brought our car in to get our seasonal tire change we waited for 5 hours!!!. This was due to overbooking, misplacing sets of tires and allowing people without appointments in ahead of people who had booked in advance. This time around we were met with covid-19 precautions when we arrived for our appointment. We completely understand that businesses have to follow the new regulations - not a problem. However we were left standing out in the pouring rain with no warning that there would be no shuttle service and no waiting lounge and we wouldn't be allowed to enter the building at all. There was nothing on the Myers Hyundai website about this - the option to choose a shuttle or to wait is still being offered by the online service booking tool even as I write this. We were told through the window of the service dept that we could walk home!!! We live about 15 kilometres away from the dealership and we're both in our 60's. We're done with Myers. We will be getting our tires out of their storage and going to a "fast food" style garage like Mr Lube or Speedy for our tire changes from now on.

Worst customer service ever... grumpy employees... Be aware when you take your car for services! At least with me they did half service, charged pretty expensive.. I told them something was wrong, they said was normal and to give it some time, took my car back.. they found a "new problem".. of course the "boss" (that's how they call their manager) wanted to charge me.
Hey boss, do you want to charge fine! That's correct BUT do the service/inspection right from the FIRST TIME ! Go give some training to your employees!

Car wouldn't start, so I called and they said they couldn't take me due to "winter tire installs", which is definitely not a high priority
They then told me I could drop my car off in the morning and pick it up at 10pm
They never provided me a solid time to go in, or a guarantee as to when it could be done
They also offered no insight as to what the problem could be.

I read a couple of answers from Myers Kanata Hyundai to reviews about taking too much time on their service. They keep saying sorry to hear that without trying to fix the problems. It also happened to me today.

I booked my snow tire change at noon. I dropped my car at noon and it's 6 pm now. still haven't got a call yet. I called them a few minutes ago, she said "car is not ready... not done". So I asked can I get approx time. She sighed right away. Then a few seconds later, she went to check out something and she responded "we don't have a list of cars. we call customers when the service is done." what a rude customer service.

I don't know what kind of problem you have. You should be ready to work on that service right on time. Tires might not have been ready or you did over-booking... I know tire change usually takes about an hour. If it's been over two hours after customers drop their car, then you guys should call customers and explain what's going on and what makes the service take more than usual.

Do not waste customers' time. I understand you are always busy and try hard. However, customers make appointments to get their service on time.

It was not a happy experience when I bought a new car here. First the finance person asked me to sign the contract without explaining everything. On the next day when I read it carefully, I noticed there were something were not reasonable. It was about $900 they charged me more than my previous purchase with Parkway Honda in Toronto. For example, wheel-lock nuts fee and security etching fee. Second, the finance person tried to sell me an extended warranty, and said if I don't use it I can have $2000 cash back. But actually it is $2000 store credit, not cash. Third, the salesperson and manager are very nice. But they didn't do a good job before the the deliver day. I should have all my keys, accessories I bought ready. But they had one key missing. The rubber mat was not ordered yet. Forth, when I drove the car home and showed my daughter the new car. My daughter found there were 2 seat belt buckles missing for the rear seats. I drove back, the service team found one under the seat, and another still missing. They had too order it in the coming week.

Overall this is not a great experience with Myers Kanata Hyundai. I would not recommend you to buy car here.

I recently moved to the Ottawa area and I am overall not thrilled with the service department at this location. Not only are they incredibly slow , they often don’t pick up their phone and when they do the staff doesn’t often know what they are doing. They also don’t have the greatest customer service as far as their attitudes. The location I went to since buying multiple new cars treated me like a valued customer. This location does not. I have never waited less than 2 hours for an oil change. I’m fact last time I waited close to 4 hours!!!!! Every time I call to make an appointment they have no problem give ig me the date and time I desire but I end up waiting hours for my vehicle to be completed.

Salesperson Joy Jacuk was really great. Addressed all our needs and helped with a very positive experience. However, their Finance and Insurance fellow was non-responsive to my after sale questions and did not know his warranty product. Further, I had ordered 2 pens of touch-up paint from Parts prior to picking up our new-to-us vehicle and received a phone call informing us our order was in. When we went to pick up the new used car and our parts order, only half the order was actually in. Now we live at least 45 minutes away from this dealership, so I asked if they would mail the second paint pen to us when it came in. To my surprise, my request was declined by management and I was instructed I would have to come in a pick it up. This after their error advising us the order was in. To me, this is not recognizing their error and making good at relatively little cost for the inconvenience caused to their new customer. I would have to think hard about giving more business to this dealership.

Despite growing pains of having to work with Service team out of a trailer, and two separate visits in two days, I was well impressed by the efficiency and courtesy provided by both the service administrative staff and the young, highly exuberant (I think this guy should DEFINTELY be in sales instead....would have bought a vehicle from him had I been in the market!) chauffeur that brought me to work. Car wash was a really appreciated too as the bird poop was starting to annoy me but I didn't have time to get a wash!

I placed a call to this dealership on May 30th regarding work to my passenger side mirror. I was told a part needed to be ordered in, and that it would take 1-2 weeks for that to happen and the part to be painted and then they would call me to have the work done. I spoke to 3 different people in the service department about this job and assumed it was as good as done.
2 and a half weeks pass by, and I still hadn’t heard from them so I called them. They had absolutely no record of the part being requested or the work being done. So I was told someone would figure out what had happened and they would call me back. 2 hours later, no one called me back. I called again to follow up and again no one had heard of my issue. I spoke with someone directly in the parts department who assured me he would order the part in, and it would be there in 1 day and there would be a rush order on the paint job. Again, no one called me back to confirm this had actually happened. 3 days ago I called and left a message with the service department manager, and this individual has yet to return my call.
Needless to say I’m incredibly disappointed with the poor level of customer service and horrendous lack of communication between the team and their customers. I’ll be taking my business to another Hyundai dealership, even if I have to travel further to do so.

I had to have my car towed in because my check engine light came on and lots all power to the car. After I got the car there I asked to have an update on my car done by 3 pm at the latest because I had to go home to pick up my kids at 4 pm so I needed my car back or a loaner/rental so I can get home since I live 45 min outside of the city. I called in the afternoon and they still hadn’t looked at it but would soon. I went over there on my break since I work next to the dealership at another dealership. At 2:30 they still hadn’t looked at but was told again that they would soon. At 3:15 I called to get an update and was told again that they hadn’t look at it so I said well I need an answer soon or a loaner/rental because I need to get home and I was told by Jackie “ well you didn’t have an appointment and were busy so why don’t you go and ask your dealership for a car to get home “ I was not happy. I had said they can have all day with my need an answer by 4 pm either way. This was warranty work and weather I work at a dealership ship or not it doesn’t work like that. That was totally unprofessional of her to say that. I then called and left a message for the manager who after 2 weeks has still. It called me back. How in the world am I suppose to predict that I would need an appointment to have a check engine light looked at. Finally at 4:05 pm she calls me to tell me that is needs a part that is on back order so she has a rental waiting for me. I walk over to the dealership and she was busy with another customer . Apparently there advisor don’t talk to each other since no one knew anything about my car. After a few minutes I got the keys to a enterprise rental that was in for service she didn’t even make proper arrangements for me to have this rental. They yells at me from across the dealership for everyone to hear that my parts are on back order and that they will call when the car is ready to be picked up. After 2 and a half weeks I finally have my car back. I have never been so poorly treat by a dealership and that was the first time I had ever step foot in the dealership and I will never ever go back for service or to by a car, and I will make sure to tell everyone about my experience there. Very unprofessional service department and obviously the service Manager doesn’t care either since he never called me back to talk about the situation or fix the situation.

I had to return to the Kanata Hyundai service department as they replaced a windshield wiper with a blade that was 2 inches too long. The end of the wiper blade was lying on top of the front windshield frame. I hope the employee who made this mistake isn't the same person who worked on my brakes and rotated my tires? I now have concerns about the quality of other "services" performed! Waste of my time, gas and energy to return to the dealership.

I made arrangements to meet with the sales manager prior to attending the dealership.

Upon my arrival, I contacted the service manager (Doug) who was known to me and he introduced me to the sales manager (Jason).
We had a talk and he introduced my wife and I to the new car salesman (Jeff) who was to assist us with any questions that we might have and about any vehicle that we might be interested in buying or leasing.

The salesman was very knowledgeable, understanding, patient, not in a hurry and he answered all our questions in a professional manner.
As a result, we decided to lease a 2019 Santa Fe SUV and we took possession of it upon a mutual agreed day.
He also explained the working of the different instruments and items in the SUV.

Overall, we were very pleased with the way we were looked after by the persons of this dealership that were in contact with us.
Our thanks to all of them to make it a painless experience.

Amazing experience with the Service Team! I had my CHECK ENGINE light on along with a leak. Brought my 2013 Hyundai Elantra in and the Service Desk accommodated me by arranging a shuttle service to my house and back to the dealership. In under 2 hours, they fixed my leak, fixed a firing ignition coil that they noticed and got rid of my check engine light. The reason why I was having these problems is because I took my car for an oil change at Midas (never going to Midas again). Good thing I had warranty on my car. Thank you Myers for the professional and caring service.
