Horrible customer service from the beginning !! I was duped by the manager who told me the service card is worth $350 but only had a value of $25 on it!!! Very shocked, disappointed and lied to by management. Beware of many ongoing staffing issues and turnover there and don't trust their word!!! get confirmation in writing and double check what they promise you. Very dishonest, unprofessional and disrespectful business operations at Burlington Hyundai. They twisted the truth and the deal. Beware!

Reggie Duque was my salesman. He was pretty accommodating towards my needs. I actually saw a car I wanted on the website and went down personally. When I first entered the building, Reggie was already standing at the entrance, waiting for me. After the test drive, he gave me time to think through and he was also very helpful in walking me through the process as I was kind of a first-timer in getting a used car. We had a mixed experience with Burlington Hyundai, with a number of little things adding up to leave us feeling less inclined to come back. While Adam (sales) was very friendly and happy to communicate via text message, and Andrew (finance) was helpful when I couldn't reach Adam, I can't help but feel like the dealership was just happy to get rid of an off-brand car they knew nothing about (2016 BMW i3) and get back to selling to their strength.

Anyway, my quibbles:

* Even after explicitly asking that their service team make certain the car was fully charged and its REX topped up, we received it at less than 2/3 on both. The request was made the day before pick up, so no excuse for this.

* Service team's checklist of things to get done on the car were all checked off, when some of them weren't even applicable to the car and others were definitely not done -- paperwork and stickers remained, plate frames weren't on until Adam put them on, tires didn't look like they'd been shined, and gas level was definitely not checked.

* Worst of all, they forgot to include our vehicle ownership permit in our package. They claim to have mailed it but we never received it, and had to pay out of pocket at Service Ontario to get a replacement.

Anyway, none of these things are huge problems. They certainly appeared honest and friendly, the car was in good nick, the dealership itself looks great and is well maintained. But, as the saying goes, "it's the little things that count the most", and I think there's room for improvement when it comes to attention to detail.

Anyway, we can't complain too much as we got a great deal on the car. Mostly I just wanted to put this out there so that customers know to double and triple check the small but crucial details in their purchase, as well as to help the dealership step up their game and get into 4 and 5 star range. I think they're very capable of it. Definitely felt like some of the good guys in an industry that often gets a bad rep.

Once took the car in for service with a grinding noise and shuddering on left turns. I gave instruction on how to get the car to make the noise. I paid $60 on top of my regular service to have the tech say they couldn't hear the noise or find anything wrong. Every single person who I drive tells me about the noise without me telling them first. Obviously they took my money without doing anything. Secondly, they waited until my warranty was expired to tell me I had a terrible oil leak that needed immediate attention and costing roughly $200-300 to reseal the oil pan. No evidence or specifics were given when I asked. I did not let them do the "fix" and all my fluid levels remained unchanged between services. No puddles under the car. Other than the shady stuff, I like the service packages they offer and overall felt comfortable that my car was well looked after. It still makes the noise on left turns.

1 hour and 45 minutes for a winter to summer tire change plus an oil change. Although I have had a good experience here before I wont be returning. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Also they have a courtesy ride service that can drop you off and pick you up wherever you need to go during the time that your car is in for service. Usually there is coffee as well if you go into the waiting room area in the main dealership building next to the service bay. Another nice thing is the fact that you literally drive your car right inside their service building when you are checking it in for a service appointment. This can be really nice when it's very cold outside or if there is inclement weather.

Also the last time I brought my car in, Patrick, the service specialist who helped me was excellent. He called me to update me on the progress of the repairs and he texted me when he couldn't get through on a call. Furthermore, when I realized I wouldn't be able to get to the service center to pick up my car until a few minutes after they closed for the day, I called Patrick and he stayed behind until a little bit after the service center normally closed so that I would be able to pick my car up that night instead of having to wait until the next day.

Of all the times I have been here to service my car, I've always had similarly good experiences. I've never felt any desire to bring my car anywhere else. I purchased it from that dealership and I have been impressed with the service they provide for me as well. They always manage to make me feel like I'm a president or CEO or some other very important person whenever I deal with them. 5/5 stars

Oddly enough I did not purchase my car from Burlington Hyundai because upon moving to Ontario last year I already had a car (although i'm sure in a year or two i'll be back as a buyer). I do however, get all my servicing done here thanks to a recommendation from a friend who has been frequenting the dealership for years. In all my visits to the service desk they are always friendly, helpful and knowledgable. It's nice to feel confident that you trust the people in charge of keeping your car healthy.
