VERY disappointed and unimpressed with customer service and professionalism. I inquired about purchasing a new car that they had available on their website. It turns out they had sold the car months ago and nobody knew or bothered to check. I talked with Marilyn Rafuse and Megan Samson about financing and features about a car they didn't even have on the lot. After our initial conversation they never called me back and when I called them I was always sent to voicemail. They also never returned emails. Complete WASTE OF MY TIME dealing with this dealership.

Terrible all around. Bad experience purchasing a new vehicle in 2020. This place just keeps getting worse every time I am there for service.

Miraculously they can measure brake shoes on the rear of my Elantra without removing the drums or even the wheels. Just can't trust them now.The list goes on and on...too.many to list here.

The general manager, generally doesn't care or reply to emails. Finally did after the fourth time and referring to the previously ignored emails.

Seems like you will need to call them out on the issues and fight for what should be basic service.

We have purchased many vehicles in the past 50plus years and this dealership has been the best of them all.
I inquired about a certain type of vehicle early in 2021 and that we would be purchasing around June. I was never pressured like I had been with other vehicle purchases, but just every once in a while I would get an email from Mike Mills asking how our vehicle search was going. No pressure tactics just letting us know they still had us in mind. Mike was awesome to say the least, and it was stress free dealing with him and the other associates included in the sale. This is our third Hyundai and I know it won’t be our last.

I cannot say enough good things about the people at Bruce Hyundai!

First off, I spoke to Mr. John Cox for the purchase of 2 separate vehicles; my brother's first vehicle (2020 Hyundai Venue) and my wife's first vehicle (2021 Hyundai Kona). On both occasions, he was professional, timely and made it very clear that our business was important to him. He has been selling cars for many years and showcases his passion for customer service in every interaction. You can truly tell that he takes his job very seriously and goes above and beyond to be open and honest with his customers. Both my wife and brother felt that they were being well treated and their expectations were greatly surpassed by Mr. Cox.

Both my brother and wife dealt with Troy Nickson, the financial representative. Again, nothing bad to say about the service we received. Mr.Nickson stayed late to complete the sale of my wife's Kona to overcome network disruptions (the service provider at fault, not Hyundai) and was always a pleasant person to speak with. Again, we were met with openness and honesty when settling the financial portion of both vehicle transactions.

As an added note, on the second day of ownership of my wife's 2021 Kona, our tire was punctured by a nail and became flat. The service department, despite being completely full of vehicles, fixed our flat on the spot so that we could make it to a medical appointment on time. Both my wife and I were not only grateful but impressed at the customer service we received.

In summary, we are very, very impressed at the consistent high level of customer service we receive at Bruce Hyundai. Management should be very proud of their staff! I look forward to doing business with you in the future and I highly recommend Bruce Hyundai and Mr. John Cox to assist you with your next vehicle purchase.

Service is terrible! I had an appointment and I knew it would take awhile because both my husband and I called to see how long it would take. 90 minutes, we were told, I decided to wait in their waiting area. 2 1/2 hours later, I'm going to the counter to see what's taking so long. The at the desk said, I takes longer than 90 mins. I waited another 30 min, unbelievable! I don't understand why they can't get their info straight. At least come and apologize for taking so long. Twice now, the service has been terrible. I'm only here because this particular item was under warranty. I will never get my regular services taken care of here. 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours, big difference!!

I'll preface this by saying that Andy was very helpful and conscientious.
He was the one positive in my interaction with Bruce Hyundai. I doubt I can adequately express my disgust with the experience otherwise.

In fact, it's sad that Google forces me to rate them at a minimum of one star, rather than the zero they so richly deserve. Here is a brief chronology to illustrate how catastrophically this dealership has failed to provide even the basics of competence or professionalism:

Saturday, Sept. 21- I called about a 2013 Accent and a 2014 Elantra I saw on the website, was told they were available, and made an appointment to view them. I'd been driving about 15 minutes when Andy called saying there was a mistake and the cars had not yet been through the shop, but would be available for viewing on Monday or Tuesday. Fine, mistakes happen.

Monday, September 23- I got a text saying the Accent was waiting for parts for MVI, so would not be available until late in the week. The Elantra, however, would not be available for "a few" weeks because it "needed a new engine". Those are not exactly words that instill confidence in a customer. Still, I waited like an idiot, hoping things would work out. If I had a flux capacitor and a DeLorean, I'd go back in time and slap myself for ever entertaining such a stupid thought.

Wednesday, September 25- I received a text saying the Accent needed body work, so would be sent to auction instead of being sold on the lot. The cleverer among us may have already clued in that this presents a compelling argument for putting a car through the shop BEFORE you put it up on your website with a freaking price tag on it! I then foolishly asked if there was any news on when the Elantra would be ready. Well gee, it had just been sold...apparently WITHOUT AN ENGINE!? That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Might I also add that, through this entire debacle, BOTH cars were still listed for sale on the website. Ironic, huh?

September 25 to September 27- I recommenced my car search in emotional states ranging from crestfallen apathy to outright seething hatred. A friend commiserated (he'd had his own experiences with this awful dealership) and referred me to a trustworthy salesman (ironically at another Bruce lot).

Monday, September 30- I received a text from Andy saying that a 2014 Accent had become available. I said the car looked great, but I no longer felt I could trust them and had no faith that the car would be there if I came to see it (remember this). I then spoke to the other Bruce dealer and he mentioned the same car, offering to bring it to his lot when I said I was interested but wanted nothing to do with Bruce Hyundai.

October 1 to October 4- I will condense this to save you the time Bruce Hyundai didn't save me. Each day, I texted the dealer for updates. Each day, he was told by Bruce Hyundai that they were just waiting on a part for MVI. On Thursday, I got a text saying the car would be ready Saturday, and made plans to view it. Today, I decided to call and make sure everything was still go, and the dealer broke the news I had expected all week: the car was not ready, had not even been through the shop yet, no MVI work had begun on it, nobody knew whether it needed any work or not. After a week, it's still a complete question mark.

That is TWO WEEKS of my life wasted being jerked around by these cretins. No more. I am walking away and sincerely plead with anyone reading this to do the same and have absolutely nothing to do with this dealership (also to closely read the fine print at the bottom of each listing...very interesting stuff!). I will tell my story to every person I meet.

I want no further dealings with your company because you are completely untrustworthy. In case you've forgotten, I'd like to remind you that a business like yours is based entirely upon credibility, and that is precisely what you've lost. If you've been searching for the perfect way to destroy your dealership and sully the Bruce name, I can assure you you've found it.

This morning I went to pick up a Hyundai vehicle after having asked to have the car placed on hold last night, telling Bruce Hyundai that I wanted to buy it.. a verbal agreement..
Yet, while I was driving to the Dealership to do the paperwork.. Bruce Hyundai allowed another Bruce dealership to sell the car I had requested a purchase hold on and took a second offer to buy, knowing that I was on my way to New Minas to get the vehicle!. The sales rep informed manager, but I'm led to believe - was ignored.
This dealership effectively bypassed my offer to give the sale to another of their dealerships this morning for cash knowing I was driving from Halifax to get the car!!! SO BUYER BEWARE......Bruce Auto group dealerships are likely to take a second purchase offer made while you are in the middle of buying from them, and you might find yourself arriving at a Bruce dealership, only to be told they sold the vehicle out form under you!!! Bad business ethics....most disappointing treatment of a customer.. leaving a very negative opinion of the Bruce Hyundai.

While the team at Bruce Hyundai worked on servicing my mom's vehicle this weekend, she and I were able to loan a car at the dealership and use it to run a bunch of errands around town. This errand was incredibly random, but mom was required to bring a single helium balloon to a large gala event later that evening. We drove all over town in search of one (let me tell you, it was quite the adventure), and did eventually find one. As luck had it though, as soon as we returned to Bruce Hyundai and got out of the loaner vehicle, the balloon was lost to the wind. Laughing hysterically after we had just tried so hard to find this balloon, we happened to ask Taylor at the front counter if she had access to helium and a blue balloon (long shot, but we were so desperate). She was so amazing and literally had a huge blue balloon filled up with helium for us in less than 2 minutes. Complete life saver! She and her team really went out of their way to make sure that our needs were met (even if unrelated to the car service!) And with all of that, the car was also serviced quickly and efficiently. I don't own a Hyundai myself, but my experience this weekend certainly made me want to give my business to Bruce Hyundai. Thanks Taylor! You are awesome!
