We recently had an absolutely fantastic buying experience of a new Palisade.

I will be the first to admit that we were probably not the easiest customers. We were trying to determine what our own needs were while trying to find a new vehicle and we cross-shopped more than a few: Explorers, Expeditions, Atlas, Ascent, CX-9, Telluride, and Palisade to name a few. In our opinion the Telluride and Palisade were well above the rest, with the Ultimate trim on the Palisade being considerably better than the top offering from the Telluride.

We dealt mainly with Pat Guenette and he was absolutely top notch. We had all kinds of crazy questions, we flip flopped on color (interior and exterior) and trim level, etc. He handled all of our inquiries promptly and with the utmost professionalism. Never once did we find him trying to upsell anything or push us one way or another. He was always friendly and welcoming without being over the top. His answers were always honest, informative, and based on what best suited our needs as a family. We are confident he did everything possible to give us his best deal and without us needing to "play the game", which was very refreshing after some less than favorable encounters at other dealerships.

Chris Martin was also great to deal with although our encounter was brief (a good thing!). We exchanged most of the necessary information over the phone and he had everything ready for us when we arrived. He explained what he needed to, we signed on the dotted line, and we were on our way. Quick, easy, and painless.

The dealership itself is spacious, newly updated, and inviting. Social distancing protocols were being maintained nicely; I witnessed a few air high-fives and handshakes, and exchanged a few of my own.
Floor markings clearly delineated proper spacing and standing locations, there was hand sanitizer in multiple locations as well as plexiglass screens in place at the desks where close-ish contact was required for signing/payment, etc.

All in all a very pleasant experience, we will definitely be referring family, friends, and anyone who asks! Often times people (us included) will skip taking surveys or leaving reviews but we had such a nice experience that we felt the need to share it. We love our new Palisade. Thanks again Pat!

Please bring your car to other dealership, especially if you didn't buy your vehicle from them. They will try to touch every parts of your vehicle and will ask you to fix them even you didn't experience any problems before.

I am really devastated on what happened on my car. My first visit was to do an oil change and wheel bearing replacement.They insisted that almost all the lights were out and needed to be replaced. Since it was my first time, all I did was to say yes. Until a couple of days and I noticed that my left fog light got loosened. I went for a second oil change and after that my motor mount was loosened!!! This shows how incompetent they are.

During that second oil change, they asked me if I wanted my short block to be replaced by requesting it to Hyundai Canada. I didn't use my car for a week due to loosened motor mount. After 1 week the short block parts arrived. After getting it done, they wanted me to pay $1100 for a damage that I have not had before. Now on transmission. Is it supposed to be their responsibility since they are the one who touched my car. Also the the advisors are very unprofessional. Who laughs at their customers on the phone. And they seem to not know what they are doing as they kept on holding me without warning and their manager (Ralph) kept on telling them what to say.

Upon checking the estimates and receipts, they are charging for parts that you could buy it on Amazon 70% less (Genuine Hyundai Parts).

I've been driving Hyundai since 2015.

I was on my way out of Winnipeg to a meeting when my engine light suddenly came on. I stopped in at Winnipeg Hyundai to have them take a look whether or not the vehicle was OK to drive (I needed to get to Portage La Prairie). They scanned the vehicle to diagnose the problem and it turns out the vehicle had a recall and needed to be repaired right away. I asked for a rental or courtesy vehicle to get to my meeting in Portage and was told they didn't have any available at that moment but if one WAS available it would be free.

I told the service advisor that I would get a rental from another rental company because I needed to get back to work and he told me to bring in my receipt from Enterprise. Luckily, I had 1 free day car rental with Enterprise and claimed that. Wasnt sure how long the repairs would take but was told I could come back the next day. Later that same day, I got a phone call from the service advisor that they now had a free rental for me to drive but its too late because I'm already back at work.

THEY HAD MY CAR FOR 4 DAYS. My rental was $193.08 AFTER I claimed my free day.

Now I'm being told I cant get reimbursed for a rental because it wasn't through Winnipeg U Drive Rental and I didn't have extended warranty. So how can you offer me a free rental through U drive without extended warranty? Because first it was "We don't have any rentals" then it was "You don't have exteneded warranty." then it was "You can have a free rental but only with U Drive."

They took a photocopy of the receipt & sent me on my merry way to never contact me again. I called to inquire about it and was told that they submitted it to corporate and were waiting to hear back and I never heard from them again. Thanks a lot Hyundai. Maybe you should take a few of those unused "older model" cars on your lot and turn them into rentals or courtesy vehicles for your customers so they have to deal with the BS.

Brought my car in to have the AC fixed. They told me it'd be about $1500 to fix- and the extended warranty wouldn't cover it. Long story short, you're better off bringing your car to Fowler Hyundai in Brandon where they will actually take care of you. Definitely will never come here again. I didn't pay anything for the repairs- Fowler had everything covered under the warranty.

I have dealt with their service department now for a number of years and honestly cannot say enough good things about their staff and the resulting service. Recently, I dealt with Paul (service advisor) who provided amazing service on my 2011 Santa Fe. Not only did he get my vehicle in early for issues resulting in it not being usable (blown generator), but also dealt effectively with the extended warranty company on this issue and a couple more issues found at the same time. He also tried to assist with a parts issue from another Hyundai dealer in the city, where I had recently purchased the used vehicle, when they became non-responsive regarding a party they promised to order.

My communication experience with them has been excellent. Normally, you can actually speak with an advisor when you phone in (unlike many other dealerships where you just get voice mail) and if you do have to leave a message, they get right back to you. Whether it is good customer service training, hiring the right staff or likely the combination of both, they seem to have got it right at the Winnipeg Hyundai service department.

I have recommended the bodyshop of Winnipeg Hyundai to get my car fix but what happens is after getting the car work done there team recognized that one new part hasn't been installed after three days and they just delivered the car. What service they are provided it clearly shows up so before choosing the bodyshop service think wisely I don't want any other person goes through this unwanted situation. Rest the staff is good in sales department but service department I don't believe in their promises anymore. Disappointed by there service don't recommend.

My wife and I have purchased 2 vehicles from Winnipeg Hyundai. Neither experience was pleasant.

The first time, we bought a 2011 Santa Fe Limited, loaded with accessories. Without even mentioning it to us, they sold us the floor model. When we came to pick up the vehicle, I realized they had given us the floor model, and brought it up. They acted like they were doing us a favour. I pointed out some marks in the paint, a small hole in one of the leather seats, and some other minor cosmetic damage. Their idea of "making things right" was to throw in the first oil change.

After the first experience, we had no intention of ever going back. Unfortunately, they lured us back in with a trade-in deal on our 2011 Santa Fe, just as our warranty was running out. Since we had just had a bit of a repair scare, we decided to trade-in so that we could continue to have a warrantied vehicle.

This time, we traded up to a 2016 Santa Fe XL Luxury addition, again loaded with accessories, plus an extended warranty. Between signing the deal and picking up the vehicle, I had some questions about the warranty. I both called and emailed Michelle in finance, but she was very bad at returning messages (I ended up having to follow up on my own messages). Eventually, I got my answers, but not without a lot of hassle.

While picking up the vehicle, I noticed they had not installed one of our accessories (a hood protector). I mentioned it to Michelle, and she told me it was back ordered. Fast forward 2 months and I still have not heard from the dealership regarding the hood protector, so I called their parts department. Lo and behold, they had one in stock. I tried contacting Michelle to see about getting it installed. That was on April 18th, and she has not returned my messages.

They would have to offer me a free vehicle to get my business a third time (and even then, I would think twice).

Edit 1: It is now May 6th, nearly 3 months from the date of purchase. I have still had no response from the dealership to my concerns. They have not even had the courtesy to reply to my email. Also, no follow up from "Ben" after he claimed he would start an inquiry and get back to me.

I will be going to the dealership to speak to the owner/manager face-to-face and will update my review afterward.
