Background - Had to replace my 2005 Honda because it was hit and considered a write off. I wasn't excited to have to buy an unplanned used replacement vehicle. We walked into the showroom and were immediately greeted by Diego. He was friendly but was young so I wasn't sure if he would be the person who could deal with me! Turns out he had only been in the car selling business three weeks and was learning the ropes. He asked all the right questions - how much do you want to spend, what year of car, etc. I came with the answers because I knew what I wanted. The great thing about the experience is that if Diego didn't know the answer, he was transparent about it and would go talk to the sales manager. I liked his honesty. He was very personable too. Nice young man. We took a car out for a test drive. Diego knew how to make all the bells and whistles work which I appreciated because that meant I knew what I was going to have - back up camera, 360 degree cameras, etc. I ended up paying more than expected only because I bought a car three years newer than the exact same car I was considering at another car dealership. We had a few snags that needed to be worked out but in the end, I walked away with a new to me car and not paying more than what I was willing to pay. The fun part was that it was Diego's first car sale so Victoria Hyundai has a tradition where the purchaser cuts the tie of the salesman. He then has to wear that tie at work until he sells another car. We did this! It was fun. I picked up the car a couple of days later. Diego got in the car and went over how to work the gadgets. After having the car at home and trying to figure out how to connect my cell phone to Android Auto without any success, I sent a text to Diego asking for help. He answered with clear instructions right away. We did text back and forth about things I couldn't figure out over the next couple of days. He was always great. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Hyundai. The entire staff was great. We were even made popcorn by Ryan, the finance guy, while we were fill out the purchase agreement. The insurance rep was great too. Very nice staff.

By pleasure, which is not typically a word used to describe a car dealership experience, I mean he was extremely personable, had very good product knowledge and, most importantly, conducted himself in a very non aggressive sales approach manner. The day we picked up our long awaited Kona EV, man who actually sold us our vehicle 9 months before, had the day off and Collin Levesque, assisted us. Collin is kind, knowledgeable, thorough, honest and has a great sense of humour; all traits that make a great salesman. Collin spent half the day with us, making sure all the paperwork was completed, understood and delivered to where it needed to be. He made sure to take us to the service department and introduced us to the folks down there and made our first 3 month check with them, so we wouldn't forget!
He then spent the rest of the time going over the things the car can do and allowing me to drive with him to answer questions. Having never had an Electric Car, this part of the day was invaluable! There is so much to learn about our new car. Collin has phoned to check in with me twice in the week since we brought the car home. He's answered questions over the phone which has helped me a lot. He has repeatedly offered to have me come back so we can drive together again so he can explain more. The car has so many features, that this extra care and attention is greatly appreciated. He even offered to come in on his day off to drive with me if that was the best day. Collin is terrific! I would recommend you give him a call if you are thinking about a new (or used) car.

I purchased my second Hyundai today and I really am excited to share my experience doing it. I got my first Hyundai from Galaxy motors and my experience was full of issues and lies followed by two years of harassment and more unauthorized bs. I basically left the dealership in tears and had a vehicle that didn’t suit my needs for over two years. Galaxy motors gave me %29 interest rate on a beat up car and my insurance went way up. Now, today I got the car of my dreams, an electric blue Hyundai Tucson from The Hyundai Dealership on Gorge Rd. I was helped by Bruce, Nick and Tristan. All three of them busted their butts to get me the best rate possible. At the end of the day, I was all smiles and I’m happy to report that getting into my new vehicle has also saved me tons of money every month. My insurance went down by $100 and my interest rate is now %10. I give this place a 5 star rating and the people who work here big high fives. I’m so grateful and super happy and promise to never go to a used car dealership again. Side note, when Galaxy gave me my car, the tires were shot and they wouldn’t take responsibility. I went to Hyundai and they gave me four new tires. So here is a second five star review. Even if you don’t get a vehicle, the service department is amazing and will treat you like GOLD! This dealership is run really really well, the staff are great, I asked the sales department for an alignment, safety and new tires for under $1000 on an older classy sedan and they delivered it. Every time I've gone in for service they've done as asked and went the extra mile to make sure the car was clean and well taken care of. I got my car serviced there, they straight away suggested their most expensive service even if it's a 2018 model. I'm a new owner so I thought they know better, then during the service they tried to sell me new brakes and discs, they show me some pictures that I don't think even below to my car. Anyways I told them to not do it. Overall I felt scammed. Then I received a call about customer experience, I related to them my concerns and they told me they will contact me again, because they have recently been acquired by new owners and were willing to further investigate this. I still haven't received any call and so far it seems that it's the same service as before, hopefully I can hear back from them soon.

Horrible experience with the service department. I loved Hyundai in Saint John and in Kingston. I'll never go back to this one in Victoria. I went in for and oil change and told them my traction control wasn't working and I believed it was just a fuse. They charged me over $100 to look into it, told me it took time to diagnose and tell me it was a fuse 🤬! I was told there were many other things that needed to be worked on. I brought it to another mechanic afterwards and this was in fact NOT the case.

I purchased a package for oil changes for the next 4years when I bought my car here and had to move out of province before one year was up. This package is only good at this one dealership and they have refused to refund me for services I will not be using. I was offered the possibility of selling it to a friend, but all my friends are also military and therefore subject to postings and/or they have their own oil change thing figured out so this option is a poor one with no takers. I did think they would be willing to refund this as a good business practice since my posting came as a surprise, and am very disappointed with the service. I also had to call three times to get soneone on the phone as my 2 messages were ignored.

I drive a Genesis 2016 G80 and experienced an issue while travelling on the Island, not able to get a proper reading on the engine oil level due to a faulty oil dipstick. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the Victoria Hyundai dealership had a Genesis specialized technician, which is very rare here in Canada. Purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra with 14,000kms. Lots of warranty left. The car started running rough and a check engine light came on so I brought it into Hyundai service. Told them what the code said and they told me that most likely it would be covered by the warranty because the issue shouldn't have happened.

They had told me on the phone that if it is covered by the warranty that my diagnostic fee would also be covered. Sat and waited for an hour and the girl from the counter came and got me. She told me what the problem was and that it would not be covered by the warranty. So I was out $75 for the diagnostics. They gave me a quote for over $200 for the fix. Took the car and got it fixed for MUCH cheaper. Mechanic said that the issue 100% should have been covered by warranty.

I called Victoria Hyundai back and spoke to the manager. She told me that had I gotten it fixed there it would have been covered by the warranty. So I told her that that most certainly isn't what I was told. Now it seems they're giving us the runaround. Don't go here, they'll do this to you too.

Let me start off with I've had great service at many other hyundai dealerships/ service department across North America. The service/repair department at this location offered very unprofessional and unsatisfactory service. And after my last experience I requested to be removed from any future solicitations - email/phone/mail and even this was unable to be accomplished. I would not return to this dealership nor recommend it to ANYONE. I was so upset by the lousy service I contacted Hyundai Canada by phone at the time of the incident where my story was recorded and nothing was done. A VERY expensive and completely offensive experience all around. Listening to a complaint with no intention of addressing the issue is extremely patronizing. Polite words with no action is a big FAT 0. I had to give myself a long cooling off period before sharing my experience on Google but even now it makes my blood boil. I have been a long time customer of Hyundai purchasing a couple cars over the past 20 years and was very happy with my purchases and the service on my car til now. I definitely tried to resolve my issues amicably but to no avail. Neither Hyundai Canada nor your location offer any assistance.

Avoid if possible would be my recommendation. Would be a zero star if I could. My wife and I bought a brand new 2016 Santa Fe and have had nothing but problems since. If you do have a car from this dealership I am sorry. Keep track of your cars components warranty. They will nail you for anything they can to suck dollars out of your pocket. Also if you get any free oil changes from them keep track of those as well. They will try to rip you off on those too. We had seven of our eight used however the dealership claimed we had used all eight even after my wife had double checked with multiple people at the dealership and confirmed there was an invoicing issue, and in fact we had one remaining. It took a pretty heated discussion with the manager to sort that one out. It's also worth mentioning that guy is the very definition of a shady car sales man. And the service departments parking lot is awful!! And most importantly the free coffee is bad too.

Our car was recently written-off in an accident. We were under a time constraint to look for another car. We spent hours, the two nights following the accident, writing emails to different Dealerships asking for a good, nearly new, second-hand car and gave our price range. Out of the many emails sent, we only had two replies. One being from Victoria, Hyundai's Salesperson, Wesley Lukuku. He phoned twice and we went down from Nanaimo to Victoria to see him. He found us the perfect car and was the most helpful sales person we have ever had. It wasn't just the big details he was good at, but the little details as well. He also followed up, after the sale, to make sure everything was OK. We both think Wesley is a great guy and a wonderful Salesperson. We were set on another vehicle, but he convinced us to go with a Hyundai Tucson.

My wife and I were looking at new vehicles and we had visited several dealerships in the Victoria area. None of the dealerships offered the same level of personal, friendly and informative service that Victoria Hyundai offered. We were greated by Tristan at the dealership and his outgoing and friendly personality was a welcome change from some of our other experiences. Tristan ensured that we had enough time to test drive the vehicles and that the vehicles all had the features we were looking for. Tristan's honest and informative answers to our questions helped to make our decision even easier. We would definitely recommend that anyone looking for a vehicle go check out a Hyundai at Victoria Hyundai and definitely talk to Tristan Marshall. Definitely no pressure and a relxed experience all around...we love our new Santa Fe!

All my past experiences with car dealerships have been long, boring, dreadful, and a tiring experiences.
Not so though at Victoria Hyundai, their staff specifically Tristan (salesman) Indy (salesman) and Bruce the numbers guy made our experience feel as though we were just a group of friends hanging out having fun talking about the days events. They shared their own personal experiences of themselves with us and had a sense of humor that can be matched with no other dealership. Their approach made us feel comfortable and at ease while getting all the necessary information we needed on the vehicle we wanted. Because of their magical work with the numbers we were able to get 2015 Ltd model Elantra at the price range we were comfortable with.
We left with a car but both my wife and I left feeling like we had made some new friends and looked forward to doing business with them again.
Hyundai Victoria should be the template for all other dealerships to follow.
