My Mom wanted a Venue because of the visibility and it was easy to get in and out off. Vernon Hyundai made a sale because Justin, the assistant sales manager, checked and said there were no blue Ultimates available in BC mainland. We bought their black one, a color neither of us wanted. After purchasing, I checked online and in five minutes found 3 in Vancouver area. Phoned and confirmed model and availability. Also found their prices were less. After confronting Justin, I am still not sure how he feels he was not misleading. The dealership would doe nothing. We are now stuck with a black Venue, my mom’s third choice of color.
I call the sales pitch dishonest. You can agree or not. Hope this information helps. Thanks.

We bought a 2013 Hyundai Sante Fe last Monday and having had some recent experiences with some unsavory salesmen at other dealerships, it was very refreshing to meet and deal with Justin Coulter /our Sales Associate at Vernon Hyundai. He was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and wasn't pushy at all. We found a happy medium on the price to suit us both and that was that. Very easy to deal with....NEXT...on to Financial Services Manager Josh Mooney who handled all
the paperwork at record speed with great efficiently and also seemed like a very nice guy...NEXT....walked into the office next door where they had conveniently summoned an insurance agent from a nearby office to come TO US / Melissa Skelton / from Johnston Meier Insurance who I just loved...very fun and personable who had brought us a selection of license plate numbers to chose from for our new vehicle...NEXT....quick run to the bank...NEXT....quick run back and a few signatures and VOILA !!! We were NOW the proud owners. Anyway, SEAMLESS AND FASTEST DEAL EVER!!! No running back and forth and back and forth and back and forth to the Manager every second and waiting and waiting....JUST VERY EFFICIENT. Most satisfactory car buying experience I personally have ever had and believe me I've had a few. When we left and got into the vehicle I wished I had asked someone to connect my iphone for me and just then Justin came out and asked me if I wanted him too. Well, it took him probably about a New York minute and we were off. Awesome... We would highly recommend this dealership to anyone for hassle-free shopping.

I was very happy with the experience of purchasing this vehicle, and with how the sales team treated me, but this review isn’t about that.

From the moment I purchased the vehicle, friends and family warned me never to take it to the dealer for maintenance. There were all sorts of horror stories about being nickel & dined for everything and recommending work that didn’t need to be done and would be over charged.

At 6000KM, it was time for my first maintenance, which me vehicle was kind enough to remind me about. I called Vernon Hyundai‘s service department and asked about cost and what it entailed. They explained it was really just an oil change and they would also check over everything in the vehicle and let me know if any problems. They quoted me $80, said it would be synthetic oil recommended for my vehicle. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, and knowing that the price was about right for the oil they were using, I made an appointment expecting there would also be tax.

About 45 minutes after dropping it off they called to say it was just going into the car wash and I started walking back from the mall that’s 5 minutes away.

The $80 included tax, and they went over everything they checked. And they did check everything. They had no recommendations of anything that needed to be done yet, but suggested my cabin filter was only at 80%, and I might consider changing it next time. I keep my new car pretty clean as it is, but could tell it had been vacuumed and surfaces wiped. As mentioned, the exterior was also washed.

Long story short, I was extremely happy with my first maintenance experience and will definitely be taking it back there next time. I have nothing against the drive-through oil changes places, but they don’t/can’t check the vehicle nearly as well as Vernon Hyundai did, and for only $80 including tax I got the proper oil, a detail and car wash.

From the moment I walked into this dealership I felt very comfortable. Nathan showed me an awesome Elantra, I took it for a test drive and really liked it. I said I would be back the next day to buy it. I went home that evening and looked on the website again and saw another car that I liked. I felt so bad asking to try another car. Jesse helped me that day and even though they had all the paperwork ready, he was more than happy to let me try a other car. He said he wants me to be happy. Well I bought the Elantra. Our vehicle recently died on us while we were passing through Vernon. We ended up getting it towed to Vernon Hyundai. Although it was a stressful period for us as we needed to purchase another vehicle relatively quickly, Mike (the Service Manager) did his best to reduce our anxiety and provide us with some options without any sales pressure. The last email I received stated that what you did was not right and then nothing . You admitted your mistake but didn’t fix it and went quiet. I should not still be paying for an extended warranty that you refused to acknowledge.
I felt like most of your emails at the beginning were very condescending. Please give me an example of how you have tried to make this right other then telling me there is nothing you could do, or I could drive to you from Ontario.

am still paying for a warranty that they refused to cover As well there was a recall on the engine they denied. I had a Hyundai that literally had a explosion on the highway and, they told me I did not have a warranty; when I did!!! .... well I almost lost my life driving down the highway and they took full advantage of my emergency. Even bait and switching my interest rates.... watch out, these lions have claws. Once I got someone to acknowledge that the warranty was valid, and what they did wasn’t right; communication stopped. It’s been months since it has come up but with covid and my doubled monthly payments, I feel I should say something publicly so others can be more prepared then me. It was a pricey mistake I have to live with but maybe I can help protect one of you

I recently purchased my second car from Vernon Hyundai, and the experience, from start to finish, was so friendly, calm, respectful, professional, and you are listened to every step of the way.....

My sales associate was Marty and he delivered, frankly, one of the best customer service experiences that I have encountered. The price negotiations were fair and went very smoothly; my minor requests were accepted; phone and email messages were returned promptly; when I picked up the car (2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee), it was spotless with a gift of appreciation from Marty for my business.....how often does that happen!

Patience was abundant (as purchasing a car is a significant transaction), and one needs to think about each step along the way. Marty, was a winner in this area.

Each time that I walked into the dealership, I was greeted with a warm smile and hello! As a side note, I travelled from Vancouver to Vernon to purchase this vehicle....I am so happy with my Jeep! Vernon Hyundai, just shines with a welcoming environment!

Everytime I visit Vernon Hyundai for service, I leave feeling super pleased and often surprised. The service team are always so helpful and go the extra mile. I recently needed to replace a back winter tire (damaged) that I had purchased new from this location approx 3 years before. The two back tires were replaced with similarly slightly worn tires at no charge. They replaced them while I waited (no appointment) and even vacuumed my car! Also, they offered to store the one other good back tire for me until I could come back to pick it up. I have a nice spare out of the experience. I highly recommend this location to all :)

Long version, I have dealt with a number of dealerships over the past year looking to replace a vehicle I had got from another dealership and got screwed over in the process. Right away I could tell she wasn't just an amazing salesperson but someone who was in the business to really make a change in the industry. Service Dept. goes above and beyond at this location. They put themselves in the customers shoes, try to make things as easy as possible. I had a bit of temperature issue on a 2013 Elantra GLS and they wanted me to get it in as soon as I could. I commute to work so they gave me a loaner car and when they couldn't get the part in to fix the issue that day, insisted I take the loaner car another day so I wouldn't be stuck.

The staff at Hyundai went out of their way to accommodate us and fix every issue it had free of charge. They could have said, "sorry, you bought a used vehicle without warranty, too bad, not our problem," but they did the complete opposite! Everyone we have dealt with have been super friendly and always wanting to please us! We were super nervous about buying a used vehicle, but they made this process a lot less stressful! The people at Vernon Hyundai bent over backwards to accommodate us in a very disheartening situation . My wife and I purchased our first Hyundai from Kelowna Hyundai (2012 Sonata 2.0T Limited) we took our car there for all the servicing and unfortunately the motor gave in at 27,740 km's. Our first call from the side of the highway was to "our dealership" to see if there was anything we could do to maybe restart the car. (There was no diagnostics done at this point). I was told by the service department at Kelowna Hyundai " the situation really sucks. Have it towed in and we will look at it next week." Vernon Hyundai is thankfully where BCAA would cover our tow too and they did everything they could to help. I called to say the car was being towed in to their location, and the first thing Shaun Powers (Parts Manger) asked is if we were safe, and off the highway. He then proceeded to see if we needed a car for a loaner, and asked if we needed a ride anywhere. I was truly satisfied with the way he treated us, and upon arrival to the Vernon dealership, he welcomed us and had made the arrangements to look at our car immediately. My wife and I had naturally lost faith in Hyundai, but the sales manager (Nathan Mackintosh) along with a member of his sales team (Jesse Savoie) told us that no matter the make or model, that these things happen. It is the service you get when these things do happen that should help make a decision as to what vehicle to buy again... We decided that the faith was lost in the car, however because of what the guys did at Vernon Hyundai, we traded our car for a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe XL and couldn't be happier with our decision. I will drive to Vernon, if it means getting the service and treatment we received and they believe that service doesn't end after the purchase of the vehicle is made. I will never step foot in the Kelowna Hyundai again.
