My husband and I had a horrible experience at the campbell river hyundai. I have worked in customer service for years and the way we were treated was so bad I left in tears because I was so angry at how we were treated. The sales manager Vicki made promises I believe she never intended to keep and kept us in the dark with other issues in order for us to make the day trip to campbell river thinking we were going to be leaving with a new used vehicle that day. When we arrived we were shocked when the price we were told we'd get for our vehicle suddenly dropped $4000 and apparently they said that was them being generous. The price dropped because they say they didnt know our vehicle we were trading wasnt AWD. This is a lie as we had emails stating this and they checked the VIN of our vehicle beforehand. Then as we test drove the vehicle we were informed that the screen had not in fact been replaced like we were told and that we would need to return to have it replaced. We live a ferry away so this isnt an easy thing and it costs time and money. After some rude comments from the sales manager we decided we would not be purchasing a vehicle from this dealership only to be told we couldnt leave because our vehicle insurance papers were given to another customer and they had to get them to return them to the dealership so we could drive away! Through all of this, we never once got an apology from the sales manager Vicki. She acted like she could careless about our business. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or what, but she could have approached the situation in a much more professional way.

Noel Madrano especially was attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in making sure that my needs were met at every step of the process. He is a good listener; he had me drive a number of vehicles until I found the one that perfectly matched my needs. This level of attention and care was evident as well when Nelly, Vicky and Megan
facilitated the warranty , financial and service piece. All of these folks approached the transaction with a friendly and professional manner. They went out of their way to accommodate my wishes and I left feeling really happy and confident that I had chosen the best place to replace my 32 year old ride. I cannot remember a time in my consumer experience when I felt that I was valued like this. I do not hesitate to recommend Campbell River Hyundai! Excellent all round. My car broke down while camping just out of town, and we were worried a tow wouldn't be able to make it into the spot. Dave, from services, offered to come with me to the campsite and try to fix it there first. When we got there, he diagnosed the problem almost instantly, and replaced the battery, which had started leaking. He had the car up and running in 10 mins of being out there, and I was able to continue my camping vacation! Couldn't have asked for better help or friendlier crew!

Recent service done on my santa fe regarding RV wiring. The service tech Dave demonstrated his competence and provided excellent customer service. Showed me exactly the issue, fixed it quickly, and provided me with options to improve the wiring set up.

Even though this was a difficult time (COVID 19) Jackie and I decided to buy a new car and do our bit to help the economy. Due to dealership layoffs Vicki the sales manager was the main force who enabled this purchase with the service department doing their final checks and preparations to deliver the vehicle to us. All went very well. Jackie is delighted with her brand new 2020 Accent Ultimate which we got for a very fair deal. I asked her a question today regarding my purchase two years ago and she pulled up my file and provided my answer in less than two minutes. I had asked the bank the same question a week ago and still no response. 5 stars for sure!

I had a pretty good experience overall. The sales lady was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The finance lady was quick and knowledgeable of the products. Best of all not "pushy" which is very much appreciated. And there was the service department. A couple minor hiccups but resolved quickly and very accommodating in picking up my vehicle and dropping back off when completed. The work was done very well so overall I'd highly recommend checking them out. I got a great deal and 0% financing. How can you go wrong. With so many options out there: Honda, Toyota, Ford, Nissan, and Chevrolet... believe me I checked thoroughly all my options and I believe I got the best deal out there. I'm pretty detailed when it comes to getting what I want and I did just that.
A big thank you to all the people at Hyundai. Almost forgot the insurance company Hub City came right to the dealership so I could drive it away that day and she also helped with my old vehicle changing its insurance coverage saving me money there since it was now a "pleasure" vehicle instead of my primary vehicle. I couldn't tell you what the price of gas is because I am never at the gas station and this car runs forever on a tank of gas!
