1 year and 10 months into this nightmare.
The 2016 hyundai genesis has been the worst car I have ever bought. Abbotsford Hyundai has dropped the ball from the start delivering it to me moldy and half detailed.
For starters this car idles high when driving and just wants to take off randomly (super dangerous and feel like I'm going to die by ramming into the back end of a dump truck or something).
It also has multiple other problems as follows
1) the idle bounces all over the place at stop (they don't know how to fix it
2) The shifter has now started to rattle again after being repaired once (guess they can't fix that either
3) there is an ongoing rattle or clunking on the passenger side rear (never been fixed either)
4) Its starting to rust from the hood (I had paint protection added)
5) Drivers seat squeaks and squaks.
6) It restarts itself after I turn it off (they can't fix that either)
7) Navigation/stereo/back up camera system pops up with some error code in Korean with an ok button beside it and everything just doesn't work (not touching that ok button)
This all in 1 year and 10 months of owning this car that I wanted so badly and now would rather a basic toyota corolla.
In summary Abbotsford Hyundai can't fix the car at all and it keeps getting worse and worse. They have no accountability for this lemon and are above helping out with the cost of a trade. My car was $50,000 off the lot and is worse than a $3000 beater and Abbotsford Hyundai expects me to eat the loss because they are too broke or too cheap or there heads are too far up there a**es to give a crap about the customer experience because somehow its my fault that the car they sold brand new is terrible and I should have to pay.

and how much money I will cost Abbotsford Hyundai because they don't want to mitigate my cost of doing business with them??? Really great dealing with these guys. Don't think Jim Pattison dealerships would be so stingy and cheap to make a long term customer happy.

This is an excellent dealership. They worked diligently to find the Tucson I wanted as per by budget and selection completed before arrival. The IT team has done wonderful job to create the remote CAR selection experience wonderful. It was super easy to get the pricing and financing done. Finance leader Giordan explained all thoroughly. No pressure sales involved. The sales representative Amar spent all the time I needed to show me everything about the car. My car was shiny and immaculate and within 45 minutes delivery. I highly recommend Abbotsford Hyundai for great deals..!!!!

I wanted to buy Elantra and I went there to check it on financing, they said they need my address so they can give the exact financing amount, I said I don't need credit check, they checked my credit history without my Permission, and gave me expensive deals, so I left
I found cheaper Elantra in Surrey and they checked my credit and I found out that Abbotsford Hyundai wrote all the bad things on my credit history so I can't get the car loan anywhere else
I would recommend don't go to them, if you go there then don't give them your info. There's guys will ruin your credit so you'll end up coming back to them

Even though I had one on order, Brad called me the moment another became available, ensuring I could capture all the available rebates. I'm super happy with this purchase, and the no-pressure approach that led up to it.
Great place to buy a car. Bad place to service a car. They will tell you what you need over the phone, then try every tactic humanely possible to attempt to up-sell you the whole duration your car is being serviced (which takes twice as long as they say it will, by the way). My advice is to take your vehicle to Chilliwack for service.
Tread carefully when returning a lease. I returned mine here and they said everything was fine, I was good to go (even have this in writing on an email from them). 2 months later I started getting calls saying there were scratches on the vehicle and I needed to show them a receipt of the scratches being fixed. The actual person that inspected the vehicle when I returned it to the dealership confirmed there were no scratches, however I am still to this day getting emails from Hyundai saying I need to pay for repairs. They will not provide me any pictures of the vehicle when I returned it to them to prove there were scratches on it.
I would strongly recommend getting everything in writing.

I'm excited to have my own car again after 17 years as a single-car couple. Steven did a great job of showing me the car's features on our first test drive, but what really closed the deal was the personalized video he sent me afterwards with the sales quote. He did a walk around of the car and pointed out all the features which REALLY helped me since I live a ways from Abbotsford. I referred back to this video often and it reminded me about the things I really wanted when I was comparison shopping. (even yesterday I looked back at it to see what kind of tires I had and if they would be compliant for going to Squamish :-) ) Our experience with Abbotsford Hyundai has been a good one. Thank you.

We went in to test drive a Camry they got in on a trade. Met up with Giordan (sales rep) who was the nicest guy to deal with. We ended up buying the car and got a great price. I was genuinely blow away with the level of customer service offered when I bought a new Palisade last week. Giordan went above and beyond. Him and his colleague even helped me remove my old dashcam system from my trade in vehicle when I wasn't sure how to do it myself. But they stepped in, no questions asked and removed the whole thing. Gave us attitude on multiple occasions. Can't detail a car properly 4x, still has mold brand new genesis. Still haven't diagnosed the problem in 2 weeks and 7 visits. Have owned 6 Hyundai's n because of the service we will never buy another Hyundai. Shifter not fixed, rattles so loudly. Problems started 3 weeks in from owning the vehicle. Hyundai Canada says they've never had a problem like this. Revs so high while shifting whenever it wants. And if you've never had a problem like this, find a way to fix it, this is a way history is made. Now you have a problem. Seems like a computer glitch. They want us to take the car back... again. Forget it..
EDIT. A year later we split the interest on a different gen n gave us a replacement. It's prettier. And works. Win win.

My wife & I came in to purchase an EV. Went for a test drive & came back to discuss the cost. The sales representative provided the payment information that was already made up for the vehicle. We selected the payment option that fits our needs and informed the rep that we are ready to finalize the deal. He then left to speak with the manager and came back asking us if we would like to order the vehicle. We informed him that we were told the previous day that the vehicle was for sale. The representative then went back to his manager and when he came back, the price increased almost $40 more per month to take the vehicle we test drove today.
We went to another dealership the same day and left with the same EV we wanted.
Very poor customer service. Will not return

Replacement product was there but nobody called to let us know....we happened to stop by the dealership to check on the product and it had been there a week... we had been seeking a solution for our kona's missing roof rack caps for a couple of months....oh well, we will see if the new caps stay in place or not.

In the months leading up to a recent purchase the experience was very low pressure and customer service focused. During the actual purchase phase this continued with the feel of the dealership being one that focused on the customer. The level of service we received from Kyle was exceptional from start to finish. On one occasion when he wasn't available and we had questions we had equally customer focused service from Brad. When it came to the purchase itself Jennifer was first rate in taking care of the paperwork. I haven't met the service team as yet but if what I have experienced so far is any indication it too will be customer focused. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Abbotsford Hyundai or purchase another vehicle from them.

Everything with the test drive down to the final purchase was great Bought a 2012 Elantra Limited and we really enjoy the cars style and comfort. Jaimie, one of the managers, helped us and he was phenomenal ... no complaints about helpfulness or service. Only complaint is the mileage. have driven 12000 km now and the car gets a MAXIMUM of 400 km / tank ... that's about 10L / 100km No matter how we drive it, where we drive ... hwy / city combo. This is a POSTED 4.9 hwy to 6.9 city car. Now I get that we don't drive on a track in optimal conditions but ... really how can the ratings be so far off! Service department has said they will look at it and if they fix it I will post an improvement review.
I was unhappy with service from another dealership. So after reviewing the Google reviews online I called the Abbotsford dealership and spoke to Jeff. I was very impressed with the level of service Jeff, Scott and all the people at the dealership gave me. I received honest and truthful advice and appreciate the fact that they are still there to assist me after the sale. They focused on long-term relationships not a quick sale. Not to mention I love my car!
We recently purchased a new Tuscon from Jeff at Abbotsford Hyundai. Not only was Jeff's price was better than the other dealers, his service was far superior as well. The approval process was easy, and Jeff spend a lot of time showing us the cool features on our new truck.
